back in the day at the bluenote we were all well aware the wasn't anywhere in the world that was experiencing the raw originality we were hearing weekly. to all the headz dj's and people out there who were par it.. we were blessed.. miss you all.
It’s around 97. I listen to the local pirate radio. I’m like 15-16. And then this drops and I’ve heard the future that still hasn’t arrived. The filtered hihat in the intro, the amen cuts.. I remember it like it happened yesterday. Still sounds way better than today’s middle frequency-radio friendly-sidechain heavy so called dnb. Sounds like this, pre-wormhole Optical, Dillinja reached a very high level.
If it were not for Optical's To Shape The Future Remix this would be the best tune in the tin/boxset....such a killa track which epitomises drum and bass and is a stone cold classic
@@RyanVybez-dnb Respect bro, Likewise, gonna be hitting 25 Years of Dread Recordings @ Brixton Electric 19th October, quite lucky still as its quite local to me
I remember getting into Metalheadz back in the day and tunes like this sounded like they'd been beamed back from the future ...still do
I totally agree. I always remember Renegade Hardware's motto - "future beats for future people." :)

that was the golden era of dnb..back when tunes weren't 3 mins long and only cared about getting to the drop..i miss those days..
