I didn't film that, no. But the synopsis is; 8B&S twin core cable + 20B&S blue wire. I put a 50amp midi fuse on the positive close to the battery, and used a fuse tap on the engine fuse in the fuse box to pick up the ignition trigger. The ~5M length was all covered in corrugated split tube conduit. For routing I sent the lead straight down to the chassis rail and cable tied it at the same securement points as the fuel line. I then trimmed to length and terminated it with a 3-pin anderson plug to connect straight to the canopy. Hope that helps!
Up the Jayco Swan. Love the golden triangle. Spent a long time adventuring around there. Killer and clean forward thinking set up too Jeff. You wont regret going lithium. I hardly look at my status of everything now. Check the fridge temps and that is it. Inverter was a wank at first I thought. But it is so good for a blender for those health drinks (cocktails) Enjoy mate and can't wait for the street cars either. Enjoying all the content you both put out.
Yeahhh the swannieeee! The lithium will be a big step up for sure. Pricey suckers though lol. I'm pretty keen for the inverter. Being able to easily charge the laptop abd milwaukee batteries on the run, or quickly fry up something on an induction cooker without having to setup a gas BBQ will be AMAZING!... Torqhub cocktail bar wouldn't go astray either 😅
@@TorqHub thanks mate I have same Ute and set up but i run the neg from chassis to anderson plug You reckon that will make difference on charging performance ?
It's always 'better' to go back direct to battery where possible. In my position I figured I'm already running trigger and power, so might aswell make the power cable a twin core. Chassis ground are often fine when done properly but adds a couple extra points of failure. Not having a CLEAN ground on the chassis will 100% effect charging performance.
Hey mate, do you need to ground the system out to the chassis at any point? Or is connection to the negative terminal on the second battery doing the same thing?
Any videos of wiring from the starter battery ?

Great neat job. I would have grommeted the anderson plug wiring through the canopy wall?
Awesome mate great job!!
Thanks Peter 🍻
Did love the no nonsense 4wd stuff 🤘🤠👍

hey mate where did you get the usb, usb c and cig panel from?
Couldn't purchase it in that particular configuration as a 'set', but bought all the bits individually through switch boss on ebay
Really enjoyed the dmax build mate👍👍
And that makes the effort well worth it 💪🏻 thanks mate 🍻
Awesome video mate! I have the same canopy so this was super handy!
Cheers bud, glad you enjoyed the vid 🤙🏻
Hey mate where did you get the Anderson weather shield for the front of the canopy?
That was on ebay mate, I'm pretty sure the store name was VP Design from memory 👌
Well equipped man cave!✔️✔️✔️
Thanks Robert, not very showy, but functional lol
Hi mate
Did you have run neg- cable from the main battery to the dcdc charger ?
I chose to, yes. Pos & neg from starter battery, and ignition trigger from engine bay fuse box back to the canopy 🤙🏻
@@TorqHub thanks mate

@@TorqHubthank you
Really appreciate it mate 🍻
No probs mate. You'll see in a later video I upgraded to a 40amp charger, and that too runs flawlessly with the same wiring 👌
Sick build
Hey mate, do you need to ground the system out to the chassis at any point? Or is connection to the negative terminal on the second battery doing the same thing?
No ground to chassis mate. Any accessories are grounded to the common neg terminal to the battery shunt/aux battery
Hi!Where exactly did you connect the blue wire?
Do you mean to the vehicle? I used a fuse tap and connected it to the A/C fuse in the engine bay. Only comes on with ignition 👌
Straight up tease, putting the VH in the background 😂
Cant leave her outside, it's starting to get cold! 😅
what led light were they
Hardkorr 1m tri-colour mate on the canopy door. Single colour inside
Peewee 50 video up next.
