Run's House showed that Black reality TV doesn't have to be a bunch ratchet behavior to be entertaining. I loved his words of wisdom at the end of each ep. And how even though his kids were privileged, he always let them figure stuff out on their own.

I miss the early days of rap music. RUN DMC, Cool J, Slick Rick & Doug E, Fresh, The Fat Boys, and even Special Ed. I remember I had memorized the words to Jam on it by Newcleus and singing it word for word at the lunch table at school when I was in about 2nd or 3rd grade. Everybody was like "what are you singing?" Lol. Like two years later I found Whodini's album Escape in my sister's room so I listened to and wound up keeping it. I even have Five Minutes Of Funk, Friends and Freaks Come Out At Night on my iTunes. And listen to it at least 4 or 5 times a week.

my friend stepped on his foot at the World (club in Manhattan). Jay goes, "why you be dissin my ADIDAS?" with a big smile. He immediately said after, "nah, i'm just messing with you." But any "Gansta" reference to JMJ doesn't really ring true. Makes me wonder why it was even said...

Run dmc is the reason I listened to rap/hip hop music since I was ten years old. Everyone else in my school listened to heavy metal or rock and roll . I wish I could have learned music as a kid but I sure as hell couldnt do no hip hop with a recorder and that's what soured me from learning music or I could have been the first white rapper to sell 10 million records.

Run DMC understand the essence of Hip-Hop....They know how to rock a crowd, and rocking the crowd is an underrated aspect of MC'ing these days.....Some of the most "lyrical" rappers who can spit crazy methaphors and syllables can't PERFORM the shit.....If it can't be performed, what's the use in writing it?, in my opinion......Run DMC has basic rhymes, but that's what allows the crowd to sing along and get into it.

This was a good interview and I hope Run makes a song with Diggy. No disrespect from me. Everything Run said makes sense. Don't play yourself and learn how to find a balance between the new stuff and the "iconic stuff" (instead of saying "old stuff"). Everybody that's rapping now got their inspiration from the icons in the business, so show some respect to the pioneers who made it possible!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have loved to seen RUN DMC's name on a DEF JAM label...I was a little dude...there with the original MAROONISH colored label in the beginning...the little logo imprint on T-La Rock/Jazzy Jay's FIRST, b.u.t. STILL "UNOFFICIAL" "It's Yours"! B.u.t. it was ALSO grand to had seen them flourish off Profile which was NOT subjected to any of Big Bruh's (Russy Russ) influence! I was always IFFY with RUN DMC...once they blew...it was too much --> we needed MORE acts bubblin' up like them; b.u.t. I was ALSO SAD when I seen the 'decline'; and KINDA THOUGHT a move to Def Jam...or even the JMJ branch off would have been helpful! I just wanna know if it is true that DJ DAVY DMX kinda mentored or taught DJ YELLA BOY (NWA) [maybe even DR DRE] how to properly "scratch"??? I heard that story circulating; and ACTUALLY it may have been Alonzo (World Class Wreckin'...) or someone CONFIRM THAT!!! Peace and great interview...
