I have it because of their travel portal(which has price match), the $300 travel coupon, the hertz membership and PRIORITY PASS! 2x across all spending is a solid plus as well.
I’m Calby’s AU on his VX, so it actually does everything I want it to without applying for it, since I likely would be auto-denied anyway 😂 Good stuff Kevin, it’s powerful for sure!
I have the VX and been using it as a catch all for a couple months now. I especially like the visa infinite purchase/return protections, so I feel safe buying stuff with it. In addition the cell phone protection on it is great and I don't miss out on any pts than if I were to use something like the Bilt/Amex platinum/chase freedom flex. Recently I've branched out to the Amex Blue Business Plus as a secondary catch all card, because the 2% Amex MR pts are a bit more valuable than the 2% capital one miles. I mainly use this for catch all situations where I'm not paying for anything that needs purchase protection (e.g. paying for Internet, toll booths funds, utilities, cloud storage subscriptions)
I was approved earlier this week! Already started working on the SUB. Based on your experiences, I can assure that it will be a long term keeper card for me Quick question. Do you book Hertz Car Rentals via C1 travel portal ? If so, from your experience did Hertz honor your President’s status number when picking up the rental?
You don't need to! Linking your account should get you the Hertz President's Circle already (I've done so as I have separate Hertz codes I use along with the account)
@@KevinYang Nice! I guess I meant that question more tailored to wanting to get the 10x car rental bonus booking via portal and Hertz honoring my President status , you get me ?
Can you cover the Venture X trip protection benefits? Looking at the Venture X guide to benefits, the trip cancellation coverage only mentions “common carriers” and defines them as transportation, but does not have wording for lodging. Their document seems to exclude hotels unlike other providers’ guides to benefits. I tried to calling the number in the benefits guide to confirm but since I don’t have the card (no card number to give them) they were not able to help me. Would love to know if you can confirm if their trip protection includes or excludes hotels.
I already hv venture card. If i apply for venture x, will they give me the 75k bonus point? I remember talking to them and they said no, because i am already a capital one member. Please advise.
Hi Kevin, new subscriber here. I am based in Seattle and am looking for 2 round trip tickets to Vietnam next summer. I currently have 250k in mile with Capital One X, which airline/ airline partner would you recommend please?
With reference to the two card rule I think it is mostly a myth. I personally know someone very well who has four Capital One cards. Venture, venture X, venture one and the kohl’s card. This person has very high spend (C1 is main credit card) and about 100k in CL with C1. BoL
@@benchoflemons398 I think it may have been a thing before the VX launched. Honestly my QS is worthless but I keep it for account age and am getting the Savor early next year
Can’t do Capital One their three hard pulls and bait & switch on a card with them regarding a bonus minimum spend for bonus. Otherwise, I do like their checking & savings account.
Triple pull for a QS for “good credit”? I agree. But the VX is well worth the triple pull (though it would be nice if they could be like other issuers & not do that 🙂).
There's no bait and switch....just people mistaking the good credit version for the rewards versions. I don't blame people for confusing it because the good credit bad/excellent thing has always been confusing. But technically its not a bait and switch..... in my book everyone has to get the venture x if not for anything at least the bonus. Its a great card that doesn't opperate around coupons. I say even for those who don't like the card at least get the bonus then u can leave captial one do what ever u want but never pass up the X bonus......
@@lewislouis6246no confusion; I knew exactly what I applied for . My only regret was not to take full screenshots when I got approved. Capital is not innocent here they know exactly what they are doing when they make their cards look identical to each other. This facts happened to thousands of people and should be sued for deceptive advertising and practices. I will never get one their cards ever again
❓Do you have the Capital One Venture X, or plan to get one? Why or why not? 👇
I have it because of their travel portal(which has price match), the $300 travel coupon, the hertz membership and PRIORITY PASS! 2x across all spending is a solid plus as well.
No, because I am not eligible to obtain the Venture X. 😔
Capital One will price match as well, so that + the 10X on hotels can be very advantageous.
Yes! The travel portal itself has so many benefits too. Have you had a price match experience?
@ yes, the only caveat is if you sign up to be a “member” of say IHG which is free to do and get “member pricing” they won’t match.

Hahah nice nice, yeah Cap1 is weird... As always thanks for stopping by!
Love the venture X!!! Great video man, much love from China
Thanks for watching!!

How's your experience with the return protection and cell phone protection? What type of documents did they require from you?
@LK_EBM so far been fortunate enough to not need them yet, but the feedback on reddit seems positive for both for the vx
Haha way ahead of me! I'm eyeing the Amex BBP too whenever I can get a high offer (like a targeted 75k)
That's good to know! I've personally used the one through Amex and it's been wonderful. Haven't needed to do so through the VX yet
I too like seeing the paint chip on my venture X…makes me realize how long I’ve been holding this goated card
Haha yeah, it's chipped the most out of all my cards honestly
I'm headed to DEN today, so I'll use the C1 lounge, which I prefer over the Centurion.
Nice! Let us know hownthat does! Still need to visit one of the Cap1 lounges myself one day..
I just got the USBAR before it got discontinued and I think I'll be using this card more, but I can't see any circumstance in which I'd cancel the VX.
I really hope they don't devalue the card though!

They are separate cards! I've gotten the welcome bonus for both cards individually (although the VX then Venture)
How are you able to use the capital one portal and Rakuten at the same time?
Unfortunately you won't be able to do so as I think they're both special URLs you have to shop through!

I'd recommend checking on services like seats.aero for your route/dates first!
I got savor one and quicksilver. Am I cooked? Do I need to shut down one or can I get venture as well?
Many people have been able to open more than 2 Cap1 cards. There is a special pre approved tool online for the VX

Yeah I've seen lots of people get more than 2 cards. It's either a myth or something they're just not enforcing I guess
I have 4 cap cards was approved 2 weeks ago for venture
I’m locked out of Chase 5/24 for a while so no Sapphire Reserve and I have three Capital One cards already so I can’t get the Venture X.
