Awesome vid; my wife loved it. Pot that fuel pump on a rubber block from and old cut off piece of rubber tire; making sure you run two, not one grounds to each of the mounting holes on the pump to the body of the Dust Buggy. It will quieten that pump noise.
I smiled the whole video. So great to see you working on Dust buggy. If you ever get a real crimp tool you will never look back. The new ones are even color coded. Stupid simple and work great.
Nothin better then being able to read the vitals! lol......glad to see you found a preferred fuel gauge at the swap meet....back when i had my '67 Baja, i never had a fuel gauge, i had a 26 gal. alum. fuel tank that took up the entire back seat area and a spare gas can just in case.
I know 😅 kind of helps if it ever goes out, I'll definitely notice lol. It's a high capacity fuel pump with a return, it's the only way Spence and I were able to get a stable amount of fuel pressure to the regulator without leaning out while driving
Weber makes books on tuning your duel setup. Utube resource is eez geezee. Question, what is that where the speedo should be? Keep them coming you maybe the resource to bring more ladies into our hobby. Hugs
The speedo cable was no longer long enough after the custom spindles Spencer built, instead he painted a face plate modeled after a speedo with the words "too fast" 😅 I'll never take that out, it's one of the best momentos from him. I do need to figure out some kind of speedo situation though
I would never change it either. They do make gps speedometers or your phone will do that also. Looking forward to the next video. Ps my wife who was also burnt in our car accident said couldn’t wait to get out of the pressure garment.
@@dustbuggy infact mine did die on me and it ended up in a guys yard for a day until i replaced the condenser and the coil which did nothing till last minute before dragging it home
Dont operate a starter for more than ten seconds a time and give it a minute to cool before restarting. They can get burned out and totaled faster than you think.
@@dustbuggyThe "lack of oil" is normal because no engine has oil pressure if its not running. This is when most of the wear on the engine bearings happens, at startup. That said, the advice is crap, go ahead and start the engine like you always do, it will get some wear but thats normal.
Does anybody else meed some baja bug inspiration as much as i do??? Get it HERE!! 🎉 ruclips.net/video/k5N68BqPOLo/видео.html

I have inspiration with 1991 Miata previously sitting for 10 years.

You are amazingly talented Dust Buggy Girl . Well done.
Can't believe you took the dust buggy to the swap meet. That's cool/right on 👍🏻
I can be in the other room, and I know it's your video from the fuel pump. Love your videos.

Congratulations on everything 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤

Nice work, it is good to have a fuel gauge!
Awesome
Awesome! 😃
I'd enjoy trying to start this.
It's a lot more fun when the starter isn't being a butt 😂

Correction ezgz is the utuber.

I laughed when I finally realized what the "speedo" was! That's awesome. At first, I thought it was a big tachometer.

How long did she have to wear hers? They gave me a really wide range of "6-24 months" 😅
That electric fuel pump is ridiculously loud!
Yeah she is 😅 makes it that much easier to diagnose when it goes out! 😂
more a less i'm afraid of mine not being able to start when it stalls
Yeah I hate that fear 😬
@@dustbuggy infact mine did die on me and it ended up in a guys yard for a day until i replaced the condenser and the coil which did nothing till last minute before dragging it home
i just dealt with it twice i just pumped and held till it went
How much cranking/pumping did she take? Lol
Not too-too much, but I thought I would spare RUclips the tedium of sitting through it 😂
Where is Spencer?
@kombination65 See videos from like a year ago. Died in car wreck.
IF I END UP WITH A BUG, I'M BLAMING YOU 😆
Lol you deserve it 🤣👏
Not a fan of extra guages, just more wires and things to go wrong!
Definitely hear you on that one, I just haven't had one ever in this car and I want to stop having to guess how much fuel I have in my cars 😭

NEVER EVER, NEVER EVER start a vw engine with your foot on the cluch, you'll destroy your mane bearing due to the lack of oil at the start.
That's good to know, I hadn't heard that one
