It may be an issue with the ammo, possibly a sizing issue, if you have calipers before shooting measure the rounds an make sure they are the same in diameter, note it is a tedious process but factory as well as reloads may be not all symmetrically the same size.
I got a century arms AP5 and shot aluminum case and it did not like it at all so I switched to brass and now I have over 1000 rounds and not one malfunction.
Looks like it did a lot better this time. From what I could see, ejection was sporadic - sometimes weak. Tells me it's either an ammo issue (underpowered), or something is slowing the bolt down, like an out of spec magazine, or dirty chamber flutes / lack of lube. Still, glad it's workin' better! My PTR 9c runs like a top with 124 grain NATO ammo. Usually works fine with 115. Usually. Also, what color is your extractor spring? Is it black / dark grey or copper? Get one of the HK copper ones, that'll help a lot.
I have one of the PTR nines but I don’t have that many rounds through it what I did worked fine but if I were you, I’d send that back again that’s unacceptable

Proud of how you are handling this situation. 👍🏾
I would recommend NATO spec 124 grain FMJ. Most western designed “SMGs” were designed for NATO spec ammunition.
Seconded. Especially for break in.
Yes and NATO spec is loaded hot to help make sure SMGs function correctly.

One problem with aluminum rounds is you can get flakes that come off the casings and causing mystery jams or malfunctions.
🔥 great job!

I thought about getting an HK clone, I am so glad I didn't even though it cost me north of 4k with the accessories.
THANKS FOR UPDATE
