Zep, or the remaining members of, would have hit their stride if they reunited in the 90s. Sober, and young enough to bring the vocals and physical ability to play at the top level. A shame we didn't see it.
there are so many variations to this song--every one of them is interesting and fantastic! does anyone get that these guys, especially Plant, are the only ones keeping things interesting? I love the way Plant incorporates all kinds of musicians, giving every outstanding talent a chance...

I love how over the years this song gets re-worked and changed. I like this version. I also like the version for the American Music Awards which is very very similar. Also the version that Plant did with Allison krause was good too

I am a Huge fan of Led Zeppelin, the music, the mystique and their dangerous vibe.I saw them twice during this time,fuzzy on the exact year(indulgence of party favors) they were awesome and more than moved me.I also went to both of their concerts during the 1988 solo tours.Page moved unlike anything I have ever seen before or since,he was connected to the rhythm like a marionette who's strings were controlled by some nefarious and beautiful energy.That said,this performance, you can't win them all.Points for trying something new,yet very sad and desperate.I know,I couldn't carry Mr Page's guitar case but I still wanted to post my opinion.I'm looking foward to see and hear what the old wizard is coming with in 2016.Long may they yield the Hammer of the Gods.

Went to the No Quarter concert in Sydney, damn good and got this appearance from Denton on VHS. Sounds awesome through a proper sound system! What is frightening is it was 18 years ago .... glad the OP showed the banter at the end with Jimmy and Robert ... well done!

The Black Dog on Zeppelin IV is one version, out of many. But it's been rearranged countless times. In the end, it's about the performance and energy, not what the song was beforehand. Zeppelin never confined themselves to rigid structure, and Page and Plant continued that tradition here.
