What a massive band! Such sound! Congratulations! I especially appreciate the clip of the award ceremonies. No one at Flushing could recall the exact penalty they had assessed us. In Michigan, it was customary to play while the band exited the field. Apparently, we overlooked this clause in the MBA rule book. I love the enthusiasm of your boosters! Reminds me of my parents! Such hard work! How could you not burst with pride!
I was a sophomore when we marched this show. This is the first time I've ever seen the complete show. So proud to have been a part of this Band. Glory Days lol. I'll never forget it.
@DAGgH3art I don't remember the name of the show. I don't remember if the show had a name. Find Bill Slayton on Facebook and ask him. He was band director. He would know if and what the name was. Thanks
Sorry Scott but all I have is this video that was taken by one of the parents. If you are on Facebook ask Bill Slayton. He was our band director and he may have a copy somewhere or know where you can find one. Good luck. facebook.com/bill.slayton
GREATNESS SINCE 1878!!

We were there! This was so great!
I was in the drum line, sophomore year I believe. We were so pissed with all the bandparent chatter going on during the video. A great show though.
Any chance anyone might have a tape of 1980 finals? I was in Hanover PA HS and lost my tape when moving. P.S. It was certainly cold that night!
I'm in the drumline at Tate now and the band now fell off the charts... we don''t even have indoor percussion anymore
I know, it's sad.
Who said this?
Where's Scooter Wooten when you need him!!! That's terrible!!
Am I seeing a little 27 influence there? Our (Flushing HS) guard instructor was from 27th Lancers.
I'm a little biased, but I remember the clarinets making all the difference!
Scott Anderson it was definitely the BRASS.

Or Tam Easterwood.
I remember that night, we had so much fun. Orange Bowl was a blast. I still have my white boots🤣🤣🤣🤣
What bullshit. It's pretty obvious who the better band was. The only way a FLORIDA band could win was by penalties.
FLUSHING DRUMLINE RULES!!!
What was the name of this show?
