I became a supervisor at 32 and an Administrator at 35 and it took me a quick minute to gain respect of others. Most of my subordinates ar 20+ years older. They told me I'm too young to be a deputy director and I said "Thanks!"

Unfortunate but true. Especially since she isn't even 30 yet. And even in your 30s it's a long winding road to any kind of respect. Though I find you care less about it when you're older...you just want to live your life and get through the day. @@daexion I went over to Linkedin and checked out some Director of HR profiles. Most of them had about 6-10 years of experience plus a Bachelors degree before they got that job. She's just an exception to the rule. Keep in mind when a job comes open its the BEST candidate who applies for the job that they will choose. I've seen underqualified people get jobs they weren't ready for because all the other candidate's who applied were much worse. She was the best candidate that applied for the job.

Get your degree, masters and/or designation in your 20s. Education is key. The older lady has all the experience but this girl has credibility backed up by that certificate. By the time you are in your 40s, the ones usually younger are going to grab your spot if you have nothing behind you. Anyone can do a job if they are half smart. The paper keeps you advancing.

Let the older woman be heard. She's upset and perhaps isn't processing her disappointment the right way. Do not take anything she says personally. Do not fight with her. Take it in humility. I had an older co-worker send me an off-putting text last week. I didn't respond to the text. I screenshot it and deleted it. The next day she stopped by my office, I smiled, gave her a hug, and wished her the best. Another person's issue with you is not your problem.

The way my God worked it out was, one day after I had completed the fast, and put the whole situation in God's hands, I realized I hadn't seen the woman that had been coming against me around the job in a while. So I asked somebody, where's so-n-so?? And they were like, oh you didn't hear? She got promoted, and she now works out the other office. (Long ways away) I was shocked like, look at God!! That's how my God is. Took all my stress and aggravation, and gave me peace. The situation literally had to be brought back to my attention for a f/u I was so peaceful. Yup! My God blessed her right up out my face! 😀😁😇🙏
I had a coworker like that & she knew I didn’t care for her so she never wanted to be anywhere alone with me🤫 I would get reported even if I looked at her wrong
