Okay, for starters, I love this stuff and it’s great you’re putting it out there just a few things (from a literary agent whose client uses Sapanda, the Shawnee version a lot):
1. Most thunderbirds did fit in certain parts of a deity system- Shawnee myth changes from one to the other but, Sapanda (at least how we spell it today) is both a god of creation and destruction. Meaning that for crops to grow, the lightning it spread would burn down older dead forests to make new soil.
2. She (yes she) is also their god of war- according go Tecumseh’s beliefs at least. He believed The Thunderbird to be their protector which is why…
3. They are a villain to other tribes….certain tribes believed the Thunderbird to be an evil incarnation of nature that would draw them away from their path. This is what inspired PennyWise for the movie “It”

If they malfunctioned there's a likely chance we'd all be consumed into a giant mass of matter. There was a RUclips video about how malfunctioning nanomachines that used any source of matter to heal wounds (or something like that) would simply consume any and EVERYTHING, meaning the entire planet and everything on it would eventually be absorbed into one big mass.

Alot of thunderbirds have been sighted in the Canadian Rockies and there nests are believed to be in the highest peaks and with the technology we have like radar I feel like the thunderbirds have an ability to not be seen by others but only if they want to be seen
Radar is what's needed to track the skies for them but no one is doing this

Thunder Birds, are go!!!
The Thunderbird is the one of the few mythical creatures I believe exist. There are way to many sightings of massive birds with distinct color patterns. Even RUclips videos are stacked with sighting comments.
Maybe it's just a massive bird that went extinct
But it isn’t extinct... If anyone wants to see one have a look at a video called Strangeness in the NAHINI Valley.. At 13.30 run time you will see a whole flock of Thunderbirds flying up into the night sky...
@@nicholaswilliams4336 Not to be rude or anything but if you analyze the video at the time stamp you mentioned, you'd realize that the video itself was entirely fake. Fake Background + Bird Animation and boom Thunder Bird sighting. You can tell it's fake because of the unnatural surroundings. The moon didn't cast a shadow on the trees below. Plus the trees didn't move. If it were real it would've been windy. Which would in turn cause the trees move.

legends from many cultures around the world have fascinating stories about thunder bird, there are many scientific explanation bout thunder and lightining, some stories which were regarded as mere tall tales have now proven to be based on fact, i wont dismiss the idea of a thunderbird, my family did have an encounter which is bizarre about lightining bird which cannot be proved by anyone and prior to that a bushman from kalahari visited us and warned us that he spotted a thunderbird around our home far in the countryside, and tragedy did happen afterwards

Did it occur to anyone else that hunting thunderbirds would have been used as a form of environmental warfare as far back as ancient times? I mean if we're following along with the premise that thunderbirds are essential for rain. Difficult sure, but if you can find a way to lure them, you can kill them with something like a ballista. I mean that's much more interesting than everyone clambering around under a thunderstorm for the chance to catch a photo of one, even though human civilization would have long ago just got used to the existence of thunderbirds.
