@@Restrictted This is not a Christian band. I saw them live and followed them for years. They fired Randy Jackson and the label and got black listed. That is what really happened. They never put out anything since this that went anywhere. They are on a tiny joe blow label now with no money.
And there you have it. “Trinity” is still a phenomenal song many years later. I first saw the video and discovered this song on JCTV. Awesome memories. And not mention it’s a hidden gem that so many people don’t talk about. Only 700k views. If Justin Bieber sang this, it would already have 200 million views by now. Smh
Beber might get a million views, but this awesome song reaches those who need to hear it. That might not be enough money-wise, but is that all music's about?
You see, this is why I love Paper Tongues. They have a REASON to become a band. They have a REASON to write this song. It's not about becoming self-indulgent and become famous for them. Nope. It's about making a difference in this world. That's why they're beautiful.
If an 18 year old boy who lives on the boarder between middle class an pour knows this than what is stopping those who are older and more experianced. Live not for yourself the ones who need you. Good people in this world are a duying breed, some people just need a little help and a little hope that this world is still worth living in to become a good person, live to give them that, give them that and we can change this world for the better.
wow, heard this for the first time in my car today and rushed home to see who it was on Air 1. never heard of these guys but LOVE this song! someone said somewhere else but it bears repeating...i am SO proud of the caliber of christian music these days.
I remember iTunes giving this song out for free in like 2009. Was one of my favorites back in the day, finally found it in my library again. Feels like being reunited with an old friend. This band deserved more love.
How is it that one of the only true bands out there has one of their best songs at only 407,716 views? These guys are Christians showing their faith in God while playing amazing music (which is actually good live) and having fun. You do not see many bands like that.
just when I get ready to delve into the 40's and 50's to hear music I can enjoy, A group like this comes to my attention. Great melodies, the ability to do more then carry a tune, and something to say to their audience. Thank you guys...
My first date with my wife was at their concert. They stole the show from Neon trees. Dude walked through the crowd and dapped me up haha. Underrated band.
I last listened to this 3 girlfriends ago when I was still a junior in high school. Now, I'm in my graduate studies and married with a toddler. The goosebumps are still the same though 😭😭
I first heard these guys at Holiday Havoc (in Vegas), opening for MUSE! Had "Ride to California" stuck in my head for a few days. So glad I decided to check out their other songs. What a unique sound--a refreshing change from so many alternative bands which all sound the same!
I think that a band that sings things like this is what the world needs to hear. Listen to the song Everybody and just listen to what he says. Singing what we need to do, putting what we need to do to save this world into a form people will listen to, to do what is right instead of what is easy or what is politically correct. We are only given one life, are you using it right. We are all a part of this world and we must all help our fellow brothers in humanity on the right path.
Love Paper Tongues. They are amazing talent who bring great energy to their shows, and blow away headliners. Yet, when you meet them bicycling outside the venue, are down to earth real people. Very cool! Their songs can appease many rock or soul tastes, but their subtle message intrigues all without you even knowing it.
Wow, about all these comments. If you watch their Webisode"s, they never say that they are a Christian rock group. In my opinion, the lead singer had a hard beginning in life and has turned his learnings into music. Good for him for turning a negative into a positive. Their whole album is awesome! :)
This is one of those songs they used for the canadian cop show Rookie Blue, the people in charge for some of these shows really know what to pick to open up/close an episode.
I DIG IT. :D I love his face when he sings. & How he sways back & forth on the crazy notes. This is the first time I've ever heard this band play & I'm already hooked :DD
i named my baby girl trinity and this song means it all to me because even though life throws me the worst curves shes the one that keeps me alive she is a blessing she keeps me strong and this song makes me feel that
saw them live last weekend. they put on an amazing show and they were just the openers, way better than the main act! i think they will be hugely successful
This song was on heavy rotation on Christian stations! I no longer listen to Air1, but it played "Trinity" a lot, and it's one of my fave songs from that station.
I was like, "Hey this isn't bad," when I first heard it on the radio. But my friend fell MADLY in love with the song, and now I'm starting to REALLY like it. It's a good song.
I saw these guys in December at metro park and he said he got out of the hospital, and his mom died a few weeks ago.. And out of several bands that played that day (ADTR The black keys, chevelle and dirty heads just to name a few) they had the most energy (to me at least) and were the most passionate.
I saw you live when I was 14 and switchfoot was head lining.. Didnt stay for that because you came off youre tour bus to give us autographs. Much appreciation always.
I got this from the single of the week off iTunes and for a long time I was thinking of deleting it cause I never sat and listened to the full song. Couple nights ago seen this video on MTV and had to rush to see if I still had it on iTunes and to relief, I did. Downloaded three more of their songs the next day. Can't believe I missed out for so long when I had it so close.
Great Song Guys and the Lyrics are great. I love the line "To draw on your virtue" cause that's the struggle I face every minute I breath. It's a hit song, Best of all things good my brothers.
i am from the UK, and i clicked on the RUclips video on my Facebook and tonight was the first time i have heard paper Tongues..., i am loving there music, and now i am sharing there music here in the UK, on my Face Book, spreading there music.. cos they are awesome, i`m loving the music, i wonder if they come to the UK, anyone know, thank-you in advance :-)
Sadly enough, the first time I heard this song was on The Hills about a year ago. I bought the album as soon as it came out last summer and have been convinced that they could ascend very quickly!
@BuRnInGxMaGiC the lead singer Aswan North is my husband's best friend, this band is phenominal live, and they are so good in fact that Randy Jackson is their manager, all he had to hear was one song and he took them under his wing, and they are predicted to be one of the top 5 arena bands in the next 3 years, they are all very humble, wonderful people and are very down to earth! thank you for your reply.
Saw these guys last night with Civil Twilight and Neon Trees. They were pure energy. Singer came out into the crowd mid-song and just walked around singin'. Their drummer is nuts! And they're all really nice people. Good stuff. Keep rockin', guys!
First off, I would just like to say that I thought this music video was taken at HighLine in NYC (cause of the windowpanes). Haha! I got excited...but it wasn't :/ And secondly, I was in the Apple Store in Soho, NYC listening to their iPod and that's how I came across this song among others. Thank you, Apple.
Finally, a song with my name in it.
This makes up for all the times when I was a kid and my name was never on the customized toys.
Or when I would look for my name and only find songs about the holy trinity
To be fair this song was originally about the holy trinity! It used to go “trinity, saved my life” instead of “trinity, don’t say goodbye”
*Felt this*
I still can't find songs, keychains, toys, etc with my name 😭
Me too dude...my name is also trinity:>
How does this not have millions of views?
Because not everyone is a Christian. Also religion is dying, finally. I saw them at a concert for Linkin Park and I've been subbed since then.
@@Restrictted This is not a Christian band. I saw them live and followed them for years. They fired Randy Jackson and the label and got black listed. That is what really happened. They never put out anything since this that went anywhere. They are on a tiny joe blow label now with no money.
Only if you have the gift do you know what good music sounds like, so yeah... only a chosen few makes sense
And there you have it. “Trinity” is still a phenomenal song many years later. I first saw the video and discovered this song on JCTV. Awesome memories. And not mention it’s a hidden gem that so many people don’t talk about.

In my 30s now I really liked this song and band, wondered what ever happened to them.
DUDE I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG SINCE HIGH SCHOOL... IM 27 NOW!! SUCH A SLEPT ON BAND!
I'm obsessed
You see, this is why I love Paper Tongues.
They have a REASON to become a band.
They have a REASON to write this song.
It's not about becoming self-indulgent and become famous for them. Nope. It's about making a difference in this world. That's why they're beautiful.
Why this gem is not on Spotify? Have been years since I look up for it every so often.
Such a powerful and beautiful song.
It is. It came on my playlist yesterday and had been years since ive heard it
This song still gives me the chills every time I hear it and it's been years. One of my favorites.
Yes saw them in Omaha like 10 years ago. So great live.
They had a small tent at Bonnaroo years ago. Made all my friends go see. What a message this song has. We should all hear it.
Hits different when your name's Trinity
THATS WHAT IM SAYING HFVYEFJB
yesss! totally!!
Haha look it's my old account
facts
Exactlyy
What a phenomenal and sorely underrated band.
It matters cause God is important and the messgae they are sending is of faith......I swear kids nowadays.
This song forced itself into my head today on the way to work from the depths of my 2010 high school memories and it won't leave.
Apple Music suggested this song to me... such a gem
This song should have 140 million views. REAL TALK
Brought tears to my eyes when I first heard this song .....I love this band
Dude this is a badass song! Wtf?!? Why did I not hear this years ago!?
11 years later I hear this song for the first time. It's fucking great!
This song is definitely a blessing from our Lord.
Trinity blessed is he the Father and his son and his holy Spirit
I wish I could prove that my name is Trinity but I can't. I have always loved this song.
Songs more intense when your name's Trinity

I can't stop listening to the Paper Tongues! Ever since I saw them in Covington on Saturday, I haven't been able to turn them off.
2019 and time after time this song survived. #classic
Surviving through this pandemic as well.
Stay safe.

I'm so glad that they're using their wicked awesome talent for the glory if God!
My first date with my wife was at their concert. They stole the show from Neon trees. Dude walked through the crowd and dapped me up haha. Underrated band.
"That's why I'm still alive!" The anthem to my life!
Still banging this through the speakers in 2022!
I last listened to this 3 girlfriends ago when I was still a junior in high school. Now, I'm in my graduate studies and married with a toddler. The goosebumps are still the same though 😭😭
3 girlfriends ago 💀
People, we need to get this song on the radio, so request it on every station.
Bubba is always playing this song on his radio show.... now it's stuck in my head!
I first heard these guys at Holiday Havoc (in Vegas), opening for MUSE! Had "Ride to California" stuck in my head for a few days. So glad I decided to check out their other songs. What a unique sound--a refreshing change from so many alternative bands which all sound the same!

I was pleasantly surprised to find that my friend had left this song in my library today. Amazing band. Awesome song! Can't stop listening.
WTF? No 1 million views? Still a great song, hear it on the radio all the time!
This guy has such an amazing voice.

Still a bop to this day!
This is one of those songs they used for the canadian cop show Rookie Blue, the people in charge for some of these shows really know what to pick to open up/close an episode.
Drove 4 hours to Charlotte to see Coheed and Cambria and Switchfoot. Discovered these guys at the show. Mind blown.
I DIG IT. :D
I love his face when he sings. & How he sways back & forth on the crazy notes. This is the first time I've ever heard this band play & I'm already hooked :DD
Amazing song, with amazing, inspirational lyrics! The lead singer's voice is fantastic!

Saw this band at DC 101 Chili Cookoff back in May as I was working security! Became a fan ever since.
It's too bad that this band never made it big. Still, I like to listen to their first album every now and again.
saw them live last weekend. they put on an amazing show and they were just the openers, way better than the main act! i think they will be hugely successful
PAPER TONGUES FOREVER!!! literally forever, see you in heaven paper tongues
I love this song and the band is extremely talented. Their music should be played on the radio more often.
On the radio more often? I've never heard this song on the radio, but wish I had.
Rebecca Kaas Heard this on the radio years ago, but unfortunately have never heard them since.
This song was on heavy rotation on Christian stations! I no longer listen to Air1, but it played "Trinity" a lot, and it's one of my fave songs from that station.
I remember when this was out, this was on my running playlist
I was like, "Hey this isn't bad," when I first heard it on the radio. But my friend fell MADLY in love with the song, and now I'm starting to REALLY like it. It's a good song.

AMAZING energy live. If you ever get the chance ... go watch them!

My new favorite under rated band. Paper Tongues.
