Brandon really represents the Norm’s empire well. He’s a wealth of knowledge on the guitar at hand. He presents himself well before the camera but most importantly, the man is an accomplished guitarist. Norm, give this guy a raise and make sure he doesn’t slip away from your fingers.
Screw the cowbell,we need more Brandon! We need more Flattop Fridays, and we need more Martin guitars! This one IS beautiful and extremely well played. Thank you Brandon. No need to apologize for nerding out on any Martin and especially this gem. Brandon, if I adopt you, can I get an employee discount...lol
The whole staff is incredible at NRG..... I am eager to follow the careers of all of you and Jen your videos deserve an award of video production.....every one of you rock and Norm you've got an incredible ear for talent.... the young guns that visit are testimonial to the love of music....thank you all and may God bless each and every one of you !!!!!!!!!!
Brandon’s best performance to date. An absolute delight to hear and see. Thanks for sharing your talents with us. And for making us drool over that D24!!😮
G,day from Tasmania..... Blackwood is an Acasia like it's cousin Koa.Makes a great top too.I have a "fiddle back"blackwood pickguard on my Gibson S1. Tasmania is about the same size as England (not G.B.) and is situated south of mainland Australia. Peaceful and prosperous. Cheers.
Tasmanian Blackwood and Koa are in the Acacia family of trees, so they are cousins. Their tonal qualities are very similar too. I have a Tasmanian Blackwood 2009 Taylor 414 ce Ltd. and it is a sweet sounding guitar. Taylor liked this wood so much they have made it part of their standard available woods for their 300 series guitars. Nice playing!
I lust after this guitar! Absolutely beautiful and beautiful sound brought out by your guitarist. Wow. So far I have a Martin D18 which I thoroughly enjoy but some day I will also have something like this one.
Can you talk a bit about the action on this guitar as most Martin's come out of the factory a bit on the high side. This looks like it might have already beed worked on. You play great and the guitar sounds wonderful.
I have a Maton acoustic with Blackwood back and sides with Cedar top. After hearing what you said about the rareness of this wood I feel lucky to own this guitar.
Brandon Thanks you killed it .🎸🎸🎸 this is definitely a great sounding n eye catching blink blink that goes with it. It deserves another 10 more mins of demo!! Thanks for playing in the store room you made Fridays worth the wait. Jen thanks for your artistry ❤️
What a beauty for #FTF! Checks all the boxes & sounds better than it looks. Pretty sure Tasmanian Blackwood is an acacia, so very similar to Koa! Great demo!!!❤️❤️
In my opinion, NOTHING sounds better than a Martin!!! I just wish I could afford one. I played a new D-45 one time and I was in heaven. The $8000 price tag was pretty steep for me.
This is insane. I do have a HD35 and an 000-18 MD which both send me to paradise whenever I pick one of them but thanks to this video I want to have a D41/2/5 too….
I live in Tasmania 😊 we have blackwood here everywhere as well as a lot more rare exotic timbers. Tasmania is bigger than most think. Beautiful part of the world ❤
A delight to hear Brandon play, a treat that lemmo is away, variety is the spice of life...nice martin a rare bird looks exclusive sounds inspiring. New mix - blues eternal on the Cat channel incidentally. I have never enjoyed being sold something a cannot afford so much but listening is v cool anyway. Martin - American legend Brandon - Pro. Lemmo is too much in demand these days...the Cat (for Channel see top) Acoustics have a lovely sound in small rooms until you bang the headstock - word to the wise in the US of A...regards.meow.
Wow.. So we're about 13 minutes into this video and about 15 minutes ago I thought I was a Guitar player. Lol I now must question everything I thought was real.. LOL Such incredible playing!! (And just for the Record I'm actually a Bass Player who loves to strum and play Rhythm guitar. Haha ) Amazing video!! 🤘
To clarify, Tasmanian blackwood is a close cousin to Koa. Contrary to the name, Tasmanian blackwood grows all over Australia. It is often figured but not always. Even the non-figured variety looks fantastic. It is not in the least rare

Super tasty guitar and equally tasty playing dude. Brandon sneaks a heck of a lot of skill, touch & technique into this.

What song is it?
What a beauty for #FTF! Checks all the boxes & sounds better than it looks. Pretty sure Tasmanian Blackwood is an acacia, so very similar to Koa! Great demo!!!❤️❤️
The initial piece is called "Sons de carrilhões" by João Pernambuco. I'm used to play it but on a D-35 instead.
The intro is awesome, "Sons de carrilhões"
Really very nice review and what a awesome presentation thank you Gibson. And Brandon I'm a fan.

That guitar is preposterous. Wow what an instrument. The guy playing it is alright too.
LEMMO ON TOUR =AWESOME!!!!
I’m sure that costs more than my car but damn I want it. Thank you Brandon
Very nice. I guess this guitar is made of unobtainium? Most people could never afford it.

Amazing guitar! What's the song name played at 8:00?😄
"Those who wait" Tommy Emmanuel.

Nice Tommy cover
I haven’t been watching too much GOTD recently, what happened to Michael lemmo?
It's sad to think that someone let that guitar go.
Blue case = Martin Martin case
👌
Does anybody know the name of the tune Brandon was playing just before he put the pick down to do some fingerstyle stuff.
the first song was those who wait by tommy Emanuel 👍
I can only imagine how much this one will go for. (Checks Reverb) and it’s gone.
😎♥
"Mama I'm Coming Home!"
