Cleanliness of trains and it's station is also responsibility of the travelers, no agency can succeed, when people are not Sensitized towards cleanliness.
Yes , most of the south side trains r very clean compare to north n west zone.. ( I am from West Bengal no offense)
The cleanliness drive started in the late 90s. During 80s, travelling in Indian trains was such a horrible experience. Now,vthey made, travelling is a pleasurable experience. Still, we have to go long way to match the cleanliness of Japan and South Korea.

I have travelled in this train between 1993 and 1996 few times. Those days I was doing graduation from Mangalore, and our primary train used to be Mangala Express ( Delhi to Mangalore those days) which will take 2.5 days to reach. In the event we did not get tickets of Mangala Express, we will travel Mangalore to Chennai by West Coast Express, than from Chennai to Delhi by Tamil Nadu Express, we will still reach earlier than Mangala express. Train runs fast, so fast, that you can smell train brake shoe burning smell in the atmosphere. Best part, the train will reach before time at the station. I am glad this train has still maintained its aura and prestige.
I am from Kapurthala(Pb.) India where rail coach factory is situated. It manufactures nearly 1200 high class bogies yearly.

We use Jhelum Exp (Pune- Jammu Tavi) for traveling from Pune to Bhopal.
Actually 10 months back the train Tamil Nadu express coaches were converted from ICF to new LHB.. Indian Railways is converting all trains from ICF to LHB.

Apke yaha pe to max 110 kmph hoti h wo b kuch hi section me,,humare yaha railway to world class hogai h stations to airport se b jyda saaf h,sarkar acchi h upar isly sb kaam hora h,bas maintain logo ko krna h or logo me jagrukta aa rai h dheme dheme,or bas 1-2 saal me india ki har train 130,160,180 pe hi chalengi chhaye wo local ho yaa rajdhani,local or express ke liye 130,,suprfast or rajdhni ke liye 160,gatiman,vande bharat ke liye 180,railways me jo developmt ho ra h u cant imagine dfc dekho ap to esa lagta h foreign me agaye,multiple tracks neat nd clean,modiiiji h to sb mumkin h.
Aap jhelum se shock kyu hain. Bharat physicaly divide hua hai mentally nhi.saaf saafai ab Bharat ke liye nayi baat nhi hain.
Most long distance trains have on board cleaning service and also pantry car. So regular cleaning of the train is done.

Nice watching the video. Iam from Chennai. Way back since 1990 I use to travel from Chennai to NDLS by Grand Trunk super fast. Then TN superfast started. It one of the best and fast train. Now there are trains more Chennai to Hazrath Nizamuddin ( a big junction 4 kms before New Delhi . NDLS). 1. Rajdhani express, Duranto express ( only 3rd Ac & 2 sleeper class. Both covers 2180 kms in 28 hrs 15 minutes. Also Chennai Garib Rath. Having only 3rd ac & 3rd Sleeper.
Daily Tamil bady & Grand Trunk superfast play either side NDLs & Chennai MAS
Trains are very clean, comfortable, on board catering food is excellent by IRTC . Other than this one can order online favourite food supplied directly to the seat with hot and tasty food. Running all trains on time other than any delay unspecified. Trains are safe, each coach has TT Examiner. & Railway police on board.
