Ay yo KO! First congrats on the new gig! ATS was one of the companies I looked at when I looked at getting back on the road; from all I've seen they’re a good outfit to run with. Second, welcome to stepdecking! Little bit of a learning curve to those-and you'll see it the first time you're required to use those risers and ramps (assuming you have those on your trailer), but you can run most of the same freight on step as on a normal skateboard. Quick note on those stepdecks: I can't tell if your trailer wheels are 17.5", 20", or 22.5". Either way, check those tires RELIGIOUSLY. The smaller they are, the more prone to blowout due to how much heat they generate (smaller wheels turning faster due to size = increased heat, which is also why its recommended to keep those speeds under 62 mph-though to be fair, you and I both know that ain't happening 😅) Recommended psi should be around 120 per tire. Lastly, about those chains: you're about to get REAL GOOD with them. As I understand it ATS runs a lot of various machinery and equipment that reqiures chains. You'll get it just fine; you get the right attitude for this. Just keep doing what you been doing, ask around if you get stuck on how to secure something, and keep the shiny side up!
Thanks boss. Appreciate that. The tires are 17.5. These trailers don’t have the ramps with them. I’ve seen the ones you talking about. Stay safe driver!
You gonna get spoiled with that peterbilt coming from that freightliner and the only thing I can think of is just take out your passenger seat like you said and put it there because your fridge was supposed to be where that empty space is below your closet or you get one of those portable refrigerators from Amazon or something
look im from tha midwest and drive too, ima be 100. in any type of snow storm i wanna be up north. they know how to treat tha shit. a half inch of snow or a .10 of ice down south destroys them states. obviously u aint out here workn these highways or u wud kno.
