- STUDIOLOGIC NUMA-X PIANO demo of all the free bonus piano sounds that can be downloaded and installed. And yes, I thought it would be a good idea to play some acoustic Kraftwerk covers.
Make sure to check out the review in my STUDIOLOGIC playlist.

Absolutely beautiful playing! Wish the video was longer. Had to re-watch it in loop 😊 please do more slow/sad piano covers of famous songs and tunes! It's lovely. I could listen to it for hours.
That's actually a great idea for an album, Kraftwerk on piano!
Do it, Woody!!! Do it!!!
Check "El Baile Alemán" by Señor Coconut y Su Conjunto
@@DmitryGorbushin ++ for Señor Coconut! 😆
Yes, I have the Senor Coconut album, it's such fun!
@@paulgrooveside2803 I was introduced to him/them a few years back. Your post reminded me and I’ve since purchased several if their albums and really enjoying them again!
Beautiful sounds… can’t wait to hear the rest!
Amazing! I could have listened all night.
computerworld... tarararira.... yesss, Woody 4 president!
Sounds great! That song is the one I associate the most with Kraftwerk, and by putting it into another context, that is making an arrangement on piano for it, shows what a good song it is. It has a great chord sequence.
i totally agree, that's the test of a great song, if it tranlates to an acoustic arramgement. thanks for the comm!
I'll sum mine to the plethora of greetings for those magnificient and astonishing covers of Kraftwerk! Fabulous!
much appreciated
I love Kraftwerk. Every way and forever
These sound really interesting, and the arrangements were awesome. The Förster was the definite standout in my opinion. Might as well add my vote for a video on the other extra sounds they released hehe.
Beautiful playing, Woody! Great demos of the sounds! :)
Beautiful playing Woody. Beautiful arrangement. Those are seriously some modern classics. Did you arrange the music by yourself?
thank you so much! yes, I came up with this arrangement myself.
i really enjoyed that, many thanks, that first piano reminded me of playing the old dusty piano in the victorian dutch house i lived in in the hague, just the sound though, not the playing, i cant do that !
Excellent interpretation of these KW's pieces, mate. We like that.
And yes, KW's works are, in my opinion, majors creations of the XXth century. The proof is they pass the the test of time and different interpretations
100 percent! thanks for the complimentary comment.
Sublime, magnifique! Thanks
Woody, you can install 30-40 pianos in a Nord - of course, if you’re talkin about an older model you have less storage than the newer ones which have 1-2 GB, which is sufficient to load a few XL Grand Pianos and dozens of EP/DX style sounds ;)
only if you install the "small" pianos which is not what you want. i think my electro has space for two "large" pianos, that's the nord library tradeoff game between quantity and quality. why can't i have it all, a 128gb ssd is peanuts.
Lovely.
Loved that Woody, very nice indeed.
Nice, loved the Kraftwerk at the end
Can you ask Dexibell to send you a Vivo S10 for review? I see so few European reviews of one of Europe's leading producer of musical instruments. This amazing interpretation would sound amazing on that piano. Agreed, that piano is in another league, but you deserve it.
up
i don't have any relationship with that brand or any retailers so might be tricky. nor am I sure if the videos would be well received or interesting to many...?
@@WoodyPianoShack Dexibell is formerly Roland Italy. Their engineers took over the operation when Roland moved their production completely to Asia. My former F120 came from that factory. They went a step higher in the market than Roland and now produce top of the line electronic Pianos, both in sound quality and enclosures. For me they sound more detailed than Nord but that is always a personal thing. For distribution they work with Thomann. It surprises me that they not already got in contact with you, it says more about the general lack of marketing skills in European companies or maybe limited production capacity.
Next time it should be the Art of Noise!
good call!
@@WoodyPianoShack Please don't forget Moments of Love when you will do the Art of Noise
Hello. All the sounds seem a kit better in the RUclips vídeos, and thru the interface áudio than the main out in a live PA system or a studio monitors. In my opinion, the sound is like the pianos are inside a box, of you work with eq will get better results, but If you open the sound giving more high end or work with tone character, comes the clipage. I tested the 88 x piano for more than a month, played it live and didnt get happy with the sound. In phones or listening in the RUclips, the sounds are great. Great job
Enjoying the playing, thank you. I almost went for the Numa - I wasn't able to load my own samples at the time, so I gave it a miss. Your playing is very soothing.
thanks for the kind words! and no, i don't think you can load samples but that's not the point of this board!
Wow! That was great👏👏👏
Fun fact: I grew up 10 km from the August Förster factory, which is located in Löbau/Saxony, Germany.
Woody, you play wirh so much joy and emotion. Thank You Sir!
If I may ask, what is the melody at around the 5:40 mark?
That's the chorus to Computer Love :)
Nothing at all wrong with playing Kraftwerk on a piano! Or a pairs of spoons if you have them. Sounds better on this Numa though ha!
Das Model! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎼🎵🎼🎵🎼🎵🎼🎵🎼❤️❤️❤️❤️
i want a piano like this in 62 keys i have no space for a 73 or 88 ok they are alot smaller today when i had that studiologic Sl880 fatar but that vas only a midiklaviatur :D
there are no 61 key weighted-action pianos afaik. 73 can be very compact if designed right.
@WoodyPianoShack Please would you be kind enough to tell me what headphones you have used with the Numa piano and which is he best you have tried and loudest I know nothing about headphones and I'm confused by all the specs
i am no expert either, do some research on open vs closed back headphones, and that choice will help you narrow it down.
Thanks Woody! Who needs a Genos2 anyway….
If not a g2 then what do you think I should get? And thanks!
@@WoodyPianoShack I’d like to see your best imitation of a G2 vs. midi keyboard and Band in a Box or similar, maybe a which do you prefer comparison? You pick.
@@cinepost i think i did something similar already before, but remember g2 is instrument, BIAB is not, it's just a backing track creation tool. so not much to compare perhaps?
@@cinepost search my channel for BIAB and you will find comparisons of SX900 and BIAB, should give you a good idea :)
@@WoodyPianoShack thanks Woody!
Careful, Woody, you came dangerously close to Coldplay at one point! A fate I wouldn't wish on anyone!
I think Coldplay actually got that riff from this Kraftwerk song.
Yep, the melody and chords of "Talk" were "borrowed" from "Computer Love" by Kraftwerk.
Are you swedish or what? What’s your deal?
i am welsh, that is the deal.
🔥🔥GEM PROMEGA 2+ & KURZWEIL FORTE ARE BETTER SAMPLED Pianos 🎹
Lonely playing. At some point I developed a very critical ear for piano emulations and very rarely give instruments more than a 8/10. This is easily a 9.5 maybe more
Lovely playing I meant!!&
that is high praise for the pianos indeed. and thanks for the compliment.
yikes, the first two pianos sound bright, thin, and lack timbral dynamics. third not much better. Maybe I'm not being fair as I'm used to full kontakt libraries - but the MP11 & Nord Grand sound significantly better IMO.
a bit dissapointing ... the pianos of the Genos 2 are few but more impressive
As every brand this has its own vibe and mood. Nowadays there's a fashion for more processed pianos. I consider Numa to be in this category. Personally I'm more into Dexibell and Kurzweil soundwise.
I'm refering the character grand in the new Genos compared to the "Förster" grand of the Numa. @@dwsel
