Thank you so much, I'm a 60 ish retired nurse, I plan to be a solo female traveler in the near future, as soon as I sell my home & purchase my Unity rear lounge. You are giving me such hope when I start to doubt my self. I'm saving this video to watch over & over.
A big shout out to Pagosa Supply for their custom fitted skylight insulators. I just received my 2022 Wonder RL and put up the insulators for the main skylight and above the shower. They fit perfectly and keep the Living Area cool. I also like how the removable cotton backing on inside perfectly match my ceiling. Way to go Pagosa!
Another great interview Brandon. Loved hearing about Lori’s adventures. The only negative…it just continues to increase my impatience about ‘getting out there’ :-) I’m spending too much time living vicariously through others instead of getting out there myself. However, with that said, there is much to be learned by lurking, reading and following those living the RV lifestyles. So I’m really not wasting time, just looking forward to creating my own adventures.
Brandon, I’ve come across your channel a couple of times and appreciated and hit the “like” button on your videos before. I hadn’t finished watching this one, when I just had to make a comment. This one did so many things for me! I’m a subscriber now! As an aspiring solo traveler, I have taken my 2019 LTV Unity CB (the show model purchased at the California RV Show in 2018) on short trips to AZ and NV for boondocking or stays at my timeshare with CRA. It’s been 3 1/2 yrs since the purchase and at only 10k, I feel like I’ve missed out on a lot of travel compared to Lori’s adventures. Her journey is inspiring and I thank you for bringing her story to us! I just finished a short weekend trip to Scottsdale towing a 2009 Honda CR-V with a Blue Ox Alpha 2 and Stay-n-Play setup. I look forward to more trips this summer. I better get planning!
Love these videos!!! Such great information. I will be driving solo with 4 medium sized dogs. I have driven in mini vans, regular vehicles and love cross country driving. I am very apprehensive about driving that size in steep downhill mountains. I am just not sure of myself doing that. I would need a practice vehicle.
Thank you for this interview. Lori is an amazing woman. I’m sure she’s finding her answers 😊. I hope to run into her on the road someday. My husband I are ordering our first Unity MBL.
So glad to watch this video even tho it’s several months old. I too have a wanderlust for traveling. My dream rv is the Unity 24 Mb. Also a single senior and eager to fulfill my desire to travel, to see friends and family, while enjoying my main interest in photography. Having been to AK 4 times, I’m eager to go back and visit friends there too. Also with friends in Mexico, going to see them is on my list too. I live in Yuma AZ. AZ has many interesting places to explore, so I’ve heard. Naturally exploring AZ, seeing friends in AZ is on my list. I’m wanting to have a used LTV. Every year watching Dean show the latest MB24 is good time spent. Now waiting your videos I’m learning more. Rv’g is not new to me. To have my own for traveling solo will be. Blessings to you and Lori 🙏🏻
Brandon, I really enjoyed your interview. Great questions and superb content. I’m about 2.5 years from retirement. Seriously considering an LTV. All the best.
On the waiting list for our LTV Unity RL, can’t wait to be a member of this great community! Thank you for the wealth of information and motivation to live the next phase of our lives.
Wonderful video and interview, you have inspired me to feel better about my decision to jump into RVing, myself and my adorable Chi. I am not having an RV built for me, due to funds, selling my home and purchasing an RV off the lot. It’s going to be an adventure for sure, like you I will be research in order to know where I will be sleeping that night and be safe. I also will be doing some dry camping. Wish me luck!
She has a great attitude about herself and her surroundings. Kuddos also for her knowledge of her vehicle. I wanna know, does it take brute strength to do tasks that need to be done with all travel and tow tasks?? Also how many firearms does she pack and does she have a safe?
There is no brute strength needed for these small RVs. Anyone can do it for sure. You can get a safe optioned in. She is from Canada, so she wouldn’t have any firearms
Not a “Roadside” commercial. A bit concerning to hear that US dealers don’t want to work on Canadian sprinters. Great service from LTV and this episode really underscores how important a quality RV manufacturer is.
I am SO impressed with the interview. I would love to be friends with Lori, confident for sure. I will be looking for her Facebook page....I could learn a few things.
When I hear stories about Mercedes break downs and other issues related to the RV part of the coach, it makes me not want to take this journey of RVing. I'm a control freak and when things are out of my control, I get really stressed. It takes a special kind of person to take to this lifestyle. I could never be a full timer. I would have to take a break from the stress and come back to my stick home to relax!
@@rickcrane839 Ford can be the same for 2021 and later, however, your floor plan can greatly reduce. For example the Wonder RTB only has 2000 pounds towing. So always check your specs.
Did 11,000 miles in 5 weeks cross country with my 3 grand kids (7-10 yrs), a dog and a cat in a Mini Winnie. That was about 15 years ago and now I am traveling solo. Would love to find a used LTV but they are scarcer than hens teeth! And at 74 years, I don’t want to wait 2 years for a new one. So I’m traveling in a Little Guy Mini Max and will be looking to upgrade my Outback to an Explorer EcoBoost before I take off for Alaska. If anyone has a used LTV for sale, I would be interested in exploring it.
Looking at the photo of her tow vehicle, if weight were not prohibitive, i would add an extra kayak, b/c one kayak is screamingly announcing, only one person is traveling. Just my opinion.
What a neat lady! I’m so happy for you and the strength you’ve found in yourself! Good interview!
She's awesome!
She’s doing exactly what I want to do. So inspiring 🎉🙏🏼Stay safe and happy trails.
She just finished another 8 month trip!
What a great interview. Lots of wisdom and inspiration from Lori. Thanks!

I have been following Lori's posts almost daily. I have been living my dreams through Lori until my LTV arrives. She is one strong lady!

Thank you for this conversation. I needed to hear and know some of these things...and thank you for answering some of my many questions.
Glad it was helpful
Awesome interview and so inspiring. I’m not an RV owner yet but hope to get there at some point. Thank you so much!
Hope you get into one soon!
What an amazingly strong and wonderful woman. Thanks for a motivational video.

Excellent interview Brandon. And many thanks to Lori for sharing her story!

They handle well on the mountains, so no worries. I have a video about driving a mountain pass

Could be!

Love her 🥰
She’s great
Just drove from San Antonio to Richmond VA in my fully packed 2013 F-150 and got anywhere from 17.5 to 19 mpg.
I just sold my 2013 F150. Almost got what I paid for it! Crazy times
@@Pagosa if I had my Wonder, I might consider selling my F-150 especially at the inflated prices.

So glad you enjoyed the Big Bend area, we enjoyed that whole area also!

Question: I thought leisure travel van doesn’t have towing capability because of weight capacity. Does the capacity allow towing?
Yes. It has a 5,000 pound towing capacity, but after everything you put in, 4,200 is the safe zone
@@Pagosa This is the Mercedes chassis, yes? Or is the figure similar for the Ford as well?
