Do you know what, I think this performance is actually really good 😊. Yeah she won't be able to hit the notes like she used to be after 25 years what do you expect with non stop singig. BUT SHE CAN STILL SING. She still belted the notes even though there was a slight strain she still did good. At least she didn't mime

I was there during her concert last Tuesday. Iba ung feeling pag sa harap mo talaga cya nag perform! The best concert I've seen so far! Not her best since her voice has changed big time but still better than the so called singers today. She's still the queen of melisma! The Songbird Supreme!

Heard the audio using an earplug. Her approach to patch and mediate her old songs on high pitches to her changing vocal structure has changed as time goes by and it'still second to none. She still can rock a show not just with her signature whistle flare (whether it's lipped or not) but how she improvised runs and melismas onset stage performances. She never is an excellent performer on live shows (cmn' she hardly moves and she admits it) but she'll always be the most incredulous vocal artist ever born whether she performs on live platforms and most especially in studio (her sense of perfection and musical genius transcends even with digital manipulation). I am not here to patronise or scrutinise. I am here to appreciate what she offers as a legacy to the world of music- something that haters and devotees tend to overlook sometimes. And whether others claim she sings with back vocals, tracks or live, having a moment witnessing a living legend performing on that stage is a blessing. Her presence is more than enough since she already had proven herself. For me, her prime will never end. Guess we all have bad days, too, but those never collectively define us as bad on whatever craft we do.

I'm an arianator but I would like to defend mariah. Mariah was 40+ and still can do high notes. She's a living legend that all of us should be proud of. She's a multi Grammy winner and for those who says she's now talentless, I don't think so. She still can sing higher notes now and in fact, she have a new song entitled Infinity and I love it. Well at least she still did the show, and that's a great quality of a great performer because for them "the show must go on" no matter what happens. It's better, for me, to watch her do that concert in her worst rather than having her re-scheduling the concert until she's on her best again because there's no assurance that she'd be better. I live in the Philippines (I live near Manila, actually), but I wasn't able to watch her concert because I'm quite broke when they sold the tickets. But rather, if I had enough money that time, and I was able to watch her live, I'd still be happy despite her (let's all admit it) not so good performance. Why?! Because I'd only go there to see her before my eyes. As a fan, just seeing Mariah is a great thing and opportunity for me. It's also a good thing that nobody, as far as I know, walked out of the MOA Arena because of dissatisfaction. Mariah is still Mariah no matter what. She still the Mariah whom I've admired since I've heard her sing. She's still Mariah even if she's gotten so fat. She's still Mariah even if she can't reach her much well-known seventh octave notes, and technically, she's still Mariah even if she can't whistle or sing in head tone, or falsetto, or belt, or even reach any note. She's still Mariah even if she sang Emotions in a much lower key than I've (or we've) had expected. She's still Mariah even if she has aged already. But most of all, She's still the Mariah Carey who've inspired a lot of artists now--the legendary, beyond compare, incredible, spectacular Mariah whom we've loved. Kudos, Mariah! i miss this night.. i was on the front with my lambs friends and were so much having fun with our Queens music. Mariahs performance in Manila was absolutely perfect and live! i dont care if her voice has changed but to a singer whos been singing for a decade and a woman with two kids hello?? her voice still got it all and not everyone is lucky to have that for 25 years. all i can say is Mariah please comeback to the Philippines!!!!!!!

only live after singing 15-20 songs in a row and back to back shows.. Her new album proves her voice is no less amazing than ever... the chest voice is first to weaken live.. I know.. I used to sing 30 plus songs a night in clubs and bars... believe me it is difficult.. by the end of the night.. can't even speak.. throughout the show you will have ups and downs based on breaks for water and breathing...

She tours for her fans, as she loves her fans very much. She loves to sing and make new music for all her lambs and after 18 number one hits in the US and more than 200 million albums sold worldwide. I don't mean any harm, but I can't say that this was Mariah's best performance. I watched her New York performance at the Rockerfeller. That performance was not all that bad, but it was a far cry from good in Mariah's case. I don't know what is going on in her personal life, but I hope she gets it together for the sake of her beautiful voice. Her voice is her moneymaker.

Whistling should not damage your voice if you do it properly - she always has. Over time it has been her overworking (recording and releasing so many albums in the 90s), alcohol (she admits she likes to drink) and the nodules which age the voice a lot faster. On top of that her belting - though usually technically good - puts a strain on her voice, that's why her middle range sounds so pitchy and often raspy while the lower register is stronger (perhaps due to age and nodules) and the higher whistle notes are so clean.
To all those talking about how she can still sing the whistle notes... I hate to piss on your bonfire, and I love Mariah's voice, but she isn't singing those notes. It's playback. When it became clear that she was losing her voice, she captured every note of her whistle register in the studio and now just puts them into her music.

I was there during her concert last Tuesday. Iba ung feeling pag sa harap mo talaga cya nag perform! The best concert I've seen so far! Not her best since her voice has changed big time but still better than the so called singers today. She's still the queen of melisma! The Songbird Supreme!
so i just read some many dumb comments and felt weird about them.. cause some people are judging when they did not know what they are talking about... okay your right her voice changed so much and yeah she gain weight a lot... but so what she has vocal nodules which i think are nodes right now and guys wake up don't expect that her voice would be like her voice 20 years ago and last time i checked being fat at the age of 45 is not bad too ... so here's the point you don't know what this woman have been through with her career... during her prime a lot of tv shows demanding her to perform on their shows , guestings , tours/concerts, recordings, rehearsals (which the song have to be perfect even tough it's just a rehearsal) , whistle register (we all know that using too much whistle register can damage your natural tone) , plus the performances that they forced her to perform even tough she's sick and not feeling well so she had no choice but to sing and sing ... do you know all of this things? i guess not cause your expecting too much of her voice, you're expecting that her voice is still the same.. atleast she can still sing , well in my opinion mariah at her worst is even better than what every singers right now... okay your comparing mariah with the singers that with the same age with her and still have their voice (but not really cause i think everyone's voice is changing when they are getting old), are those singers have been through mariah's part that even tough she is sick and not feeling well, even tough her voice is not properly warmed up they forced her to sing , and she sing with those high notes (plus whistle registers) and ofcourse lack of sleep because of so many tours... i guess your idols or may i just say those singers haven't been through what mariah had been on the past, and ofcourse unlike any other singers the demand with mariah's oice during her prime is so high that she have to sing and sing and sing even tough her voice was tired and even tough in the morning when she wakes up (which we all know that when you wake up and you sing and your voice is not properly warmed up, it can damaged your vocal chords cause your going to forced it just to sing the song you are singing) she's attending morning shows and sing with her voice not properly warmed up ... that's why just stfu haters and ignorants cause you don't know what you are saying , all you are doing is judging and judging without analyzing and thinking of what's the past and just staying focus of what's happening now.. ofcourse you have to analyze too, her voice changed so definitely there's a reason.. that's why think first before judging next time okay

Heard the audio using an earplug. Her approach to patch and mediate her old songs on high pitches to her changing vocal structure has changed as time goes by and it'still second to none. She still can rock a show not just with her signature whistle flare (whether it's lipped or not) but how she improvised runs and melismas onset stage performances. She never is an excellent performer on live shows (cmn' she hardly moves and she admits it) but she'll always be the most incredulous vocal artist ever born whether she performs on live platforms and most especially in studio (her sense of perfection and musical genius transcends even with digital manipulation). I am not here to patronise or scrutinise. I am here to appreciate what she offers as a legacy to the world of music- something that haters and devotees tend to overlook sometimes. And whether others claim she sings with back vocals, tracks or live, having a moment witnessing a living legend performing on that stage is a blessing. Her presence is more than enough since she already had proven herself. For me, her prime will never end. Guess we all have bad days, too, but those never collectively define us as bad on whatever craft we do.

My eyes were welled with tears, when I heard the crowd applaud and I know by heart she hears that! And appreciate it....
Well at least she still did the show, and that's a great quality of a great performer because for them "the show must go on" no matter what happens. It's better, for me, to watch her do that concert in her worst rather than having her re-scheduling the concert until she's on her best again because there's no assurance that she'd be better. I live in the Philippines (I live near Manila, actually), but I wasn't able to watch her concert because I'm quite broke when they sold the tickets. But rather, if I had enough money that time, and I was able to watch her live, I'd still be happy despite her (let's all admit it) not so good performance. Why?! Because I'd only go there to see her before my eyes. As a fan, just seeing Mariah is a great thing and opportunity for me. It's also a good thing that nobody, as far as I know, walked out of the MOA Arena because of dissatisfaction. Mariah is still Mariah no matter what. She still the Mariah whom I've admired since I've heard her sing. She's still Mariah even if she's gotten so fat. She's still Mariah even if she can't reach her much well-known seventh octave notes, and technically, she's still Mariah even if she can't whistle or sing in head tone, or falsetto, or belt, or even reach any note. She's still Mariah even if she sang Emotions in a much lower key than I've (or we've) had expected. She's still Mariah even if she has aged already. But most of all, She's still the Mariah Carey who've inspired a lot of artists now--the legendary, beyond compare, incredible, spectacular Mariah whom we've loved. Kudos, Mariah! You are one of the greatest.

I don't mean any harm, but I can't say that this was Mariah's best performance. I watched her New York performance at the Rockerfeller. That performance was not all that bad, but it was a far cry from good in Mariah's case. I don't know what is going on in her personal life, but I hope she gets it together for the sake of her beautiful voice. Her voice is her moneymaker.
