armchair iron here, i think there always should be 1 reason outside of uniques to kill any creature. and it just need 1 drop that is decend not even great. for tormented demons that could have been the dragon arrow heads. just make those more common.

I understand you feel that way but I’m a game dev, it isn’t quite so simple. Sometimes you design/develop in a specific way and then you also test the game that way. A high-skill player will play the game differently than a developer, resulting in a different outcome than planned for. A developer cannot possibly plan for every gameplay situation unless you want updates to take literal years to release.
As an iron there is 0 good supply drops to sustain its just a supply sink and as a main there’s no incentive to go there so the uniques won’t come into the game
The drop table really is atrocious. Right now, I’m straight up losing gp fighting these damn things. Buffing it to like 1m/hr without the uniques seems like a reasonable rate to me.

I ran the numbers for the bone claws, as that's the main thing mains are going to go for if they can for the in-between. However. As of today, if you grinded out on droprate tormented demons, it would take roughly 1250 kills. That's 600hp per kill. Meanwhile demonic gorillas are at 210hp. If you grinded out demonics instead of tormented, you'd make roughly (on drop rate with zenytes) 275m in the SAME time it would take to get 1250 tormented demons. which is roughly 3 dragon claws currently. Not only that, the DDS does hit more accurately and harder than the claws. I get being cautious, but this is an extreme drought instead of what was promised. I wouldn't mind every drop being around 5k if to get a set of claws took roughly 10 hours on droprate. Which would be about 1/200, and the synapse to be on par with it. But these rates are absurdity
Mains just want to own one weapon for each style and be done. Having to have a dozen niche items to hop around content is expensive and taxing, and since mains are basically funneled to raids no other content will appease them unless it is good gp per hour.
As a main I have many weapons for each style in bank. More than I'd like to admit... I don't like gold just sitting in my bank, gotta profit on the market sentiment. Bought a tormented bracelet at 12m and it's 20m now so that's why I hoard lots of items
the problem with something like zombie pirates just BEING in the wilderness making it high risk - isn't really true. you can go to zombie pirates with 100k of gear and risk almost nothing relative to the 3-4m per hour you're making. you may have a point if zombie pirates was in multi and required 1m of GE value risk to enter but it doesn't. at least with wilderness agility course, you get rewarded more the longer you stay, which I think is actually how it should be basically anywhere in pvp areas
whats really the point of taking on multiple at once. like I dont see how that increases ur kph unless you’re bringing multiple aoe switches which I feel like is unlikely to genuinely be faster. So at the end of the day whether or not you’re tanking 3 you have to kill 1 at a time.

However, what the fuck am I going to do with a single Guam leaf from a lvl 450 enemy that’s locked behind a GM quest that practically requires 80 herblore. I don’t mind that it’s a lottery boss but there is no reason there should 30 troll drops on the loot table. Not every quest or new content has to be best in slot nor does it have to be intended for high leveled players.
I honestly figured they would have dropped small noted stacks of herbs like 3 ranarr or 3 toad, and more alchs like rune armor and weapons. Honestly figured basically a demonic gorilla table but better.

It takes forever to get to the demons. I think its worth noting Jagex wanted to make agility more useful. So how about a crevice that leads to the center of the room. Requiring 80 agility!

Probably a hot take, but why not improve the drop table slightly, but also incorporate a mechanic to the demons that work like the DY2 bosses, where if you get a perfect kill, you get either an expanded or improved drop table of rewards.
think this is abit pointless with tormented demons, they arent high mechanics/skill bosses. The gap between a 'perfect kill' and an average one is not very large atall- your reward for a perfect kill should be higher kills per hour.

Tormented demons are bugged. If you die in PvP safe, combat ring, lms, white portal, soul wars, castle wars. Then go die at tormented demons. The last person that you fought in safe PvP will get your loot key. Be ware.
I wish they would multiply wilderness drops. So if someone kills a player and I kill them it increases the loot by 25%-50%. Issue with wilderness is pk players avoid pking so much.
Gp seems to be so important to some people and how what there doing isnt paid enough but if you want gp just go learn nex and make 15m/h in small teams

Imo pvm should be eat or starve. Skilling is an Important part of the game even if most people just wanna red x boss. Give some small supplies id prefer if it was to keep them there like food n pots. Let the drops be decently rare but expensive. Things like nex you get huge ticket items to make the gp/hr is good. Let the skillers make money the way most people don't wanna do. Let the pvmers get rich thru rare big drops
I get that the rest of the drops are complete garbage... But people need to remember that the average loot from one kill of a tormented demon is currently worth more than a kill of Vorkath... It may be a boring ass table, but the value is still there when you add in the uniques.

But if they make the regular table print alchables and they have the uniques, they are just gonna be the new default low effort money maker.

I wish they would multiply wilderness drops. So if someone kills a player and I kill them it increases the loot by 25%-50%. Issue with wilderness is pk players avoid pking so much.
People would just exploit that with alt accounts and make billions good idea tho
Gp seems to be so important to some people and how what there doing isnt paid enough but if you want gp just go learn nex and make 15m/h in small teams

I think they should nerf tf out of the non quest monsters but nit too hard so new accounts can move up. And quest monsters should have better loot specially grandmasters. And for wilderness..... at the beggining they should be shit drops and going up higher in the wild they should increase the money. Like lvl 1 is loke 3k an Jr and lvl 50 plus wild is 7m an hr or so. Locked behind elite diary

GAGEX SUPPORTS BOTS. simple, the only time bots are enforced when big content creators call it out and it creates to much media attention. It is disappointing a Grandmaster quest has such sh*t drops. but at the same time I don't have a lot of room for drops here in my inventory.
I would love to see a teleport added that can send you to the entrance of the skull after the quest.

Imo pvm should be eat or starve. Skilling is an Important part of the game even if most people just wanna red x boss. Give some small supplies id prefer if it was to keep them there like food n pots. Let the drops be decently rare but expensive. Things like nex you get huge ticket items to make the gp/hr is good. Let the skillers make money the way most people don't wanna do. Let the pvmers get rich thru rare big drops
Tormented bracelet would be a cool drop for them.
I get that the rest of the drops are complete garbage... But people need to remember that the average loot from one kill of a tormented demon is currently worth more than a kill of Vorkath... It may be a boring ass table, but the value is still there when you add in the uniques.

@@kjax139 I mean... The claws dropped all the way down to 22M and are back up to 48M... The Synapse droppde all the way down to 40M and then rebounded up and is steady around 64M... If they even go back down towards the lower values, it's still an extremely profitable monster that also rewards extra XP... I agree that there should be a little something on the regular table. But if they make the regular table print alchables and they have the uniques, they are just gonna be the new default low effort money maker.
