Really awesome interview, loved the level of detail in Sams answers. The Foss is one of the best Australian footy legends alive. I can only hope that the generations ahead will continue the old school simple ways of humour, charisma and personality without the activists trying to dictate. Great interview and could agree on so many of Sams points. Long live the footy show!! 😃

One thing that I loved about The Footy Show particularly when Ed and Sam were on, is they made a point of getting the 'bad boys' on and trumping up their accolades, there should be more of it. What a legend, there should be more like him.

I have followed Sam Newman's career over the years sadly when he voices his opinion regarding sports and state events and World events he is chastised to the to the nth degree Sadly this is becoming the norm. Sooner rather than later this has to change otherwise free speech will end as we knew it and this will become an indictment on society....In closing Sam I have never met you in person ..But you are one person I would like to meet thank you for your years of service on the 9 network and your great satire and candid interviews you Will be surely missed by many all the best for your future my friend...
Fred, free speech means both sides get to speak and here is my side. Same is a race baiter if not a racists, he's a hater and a big swinging dick that turns naughty schoolboy when the shit comes down. He is the worst example of manhood I could imagine for my sons.

Anybody remember Sam stepping in to host the brownlow many years ago on short notice? This is the Sam I choose to remember and admire. Humorous and gentleman like. He is so generous with his time. Imagine an interview of Sam with someone that was really interested into getting to know who the bloke is for all us to see. Maybe one of his 3 or 4 true mates has some expertise that could shine a light on the man I think I know him to be. Ed?

For all his bluster and carry on Sam Newman is one of the sharpest and deepest thinkers around. His thoughtful answers and consideration to the questions asked are honest and intelligent. He is absolutely spot on when it comes to the PC bullshit that has permeated society. I love his matter of fact style and it's a shame that more people these days aren't of similar ilk. Great questions too Rav, well done mate..

Good interview, set your questions and allowed your subject to answer without talking over him. Probably wouldn't have hurt to remove the cap though mate and put some bloody shoes on, I realise you're not mainstream media, but it comes across as very unprofessional and disrespectful to your guest. I like Sam… he is a true Australian legend. I can’t agree with the narrative on Garry Lyon. I’m no fan of his, Bill Brownless is a fool too… Footy Show was always respectable when Sam, Eddie & Trevor were in their pomp.
