anyone know which model 3 romset works with batocera 38 & 39 cant get any of them to launch, I am using light gun games on batocera? any specific information would be helpful
Doesn't work for me, tried on a USB and Dual Boot and after the first splash screen just get a blank screen, so I tried Lakka off a USB never work either but did in a new computer. I have an Intel ITX thin with a i7 3770s and 8GB of RAM. Intel the motherboard brand. My system just doesn't like Linux OS, must be the motherboard because it wouldn't be CPU or the Intel HD4000. Windows 10 is still running fine... Woke up and thought I would try a BOIS update, the Intel website had taking down the BOIS update support page so I had to go to a 3rd website. Interestingly I notice some BOIS were labeled Windows 8 and other were label Independent Of OS, tried BIOS 99 and how I have Windows 10 and Batocera working in dual boot with Grub2Win. Needs a little of a clean up, but I'm in...... I'm happy.... edit...How I don't have sound from the HDMI, but I do get sound from the JACK, seem to be a reported issue with updating bios to 109, spent hours messing with BIOS setting, even if a had sound only in Batocera on the HDMI that would do..... I live with it, I'll just have to leave the JACK in the TV.....edit...USB 3.0, MinSata WiFi, on top of the no sound on HDMI all stop working after Bios Update, so I do a clean install of Windows 10 on a blank HDD see if it fix's the issue.... Other then that the performance of Batocera is ready good, I'm getting better performance with Gamecube and PS2 with this Linux OS then I was with RetroBat and windows 10, and being able to LINK the Batocera Rom folders to my second internal drive is a really nice touch, but I did have to edit the Rom folder names on the second drive... Glad I try it, even if my motherboard has lost some of it function because of a BIOS update, or was it Grub2Win??......Edit...my fun is over, was trying the BIOS again and it stopped booting, download a newer BIOS and it never installed, maybe it partly installed... It's a Bios issue, nothing to do with Batocera, checked ebay I found a new, Thin Mini ITX that's unbranded that supports 4th Gen Intel, I just happen to have i7-4790 doing nothing, now I know Batocera works well with the I3-3770s, it's worth a try and I'll get a small Intel HD upgrade at the same time. I have a mATX that I can install the i3-3770s onto. It's not by choice, but if this unbranded china board is ok, it will all work out.
Replying to my own comment. The i7 3770s is installed ion the mATX and paired with a GT 1060 3GB, and I'm getting 160fps with Asset to Corsa, and the Chinese Unbranded ITX is on order. This ITX motherboard on sale on Australia eBay and AliExpress, lots of places are selling it. I thinking it's been made for a mini PC replacent. My i7 4790 mATX stop booting about six weeks ago and I've been using a SF dell with a GT1030 and a 4th gen i5 getting 30fps with Assetto Corsa, so a big jump in performance.

After you install Batocera and it boots up you will need to either put the games you want to add to Batocera on a separate USB drive on a different USB port or add the games to the internal hard drive and Batocera should be able to see the files.
@@AndyDecarli Is there no way to put the roms on the same external drive as batocera so the gaming device will be portable? I mean can i change the path in batocera later?
After you boot Batocera once you could try starting your computer normally and see if the Batocera drive is detected in the My Computer or device manager menu. Then if your lucky there should be a share folder which is eight gigs in size. Copy eight gigs of files to that folder then shutdown Windows and boot up Batocera again. Now see if the games you added to the share folder show up in Batocera or not. If you have large games for PlayStation 2 or 3 you might have to repeat this process many times or the game might not even fit in the eight gigs folder.
