It is fascinating to follow this score, as it is a polyphony of voices, with 5 different piano parts which communicate in various ways to each other. Following the score allows one to open up to the intricacy of these voices, in order to grasp it visually, via the visual aids down the bottom, or the conventional score, which feels like it is running away, as fast as it can.
There are a number of piano works that are emerging in recent years, and I'm drawn to complexity within a tonal framework, and to push the boundaries of perception, in order to open up to new possibilities in one's mind. Contemporary composition in this sense, is a very unique field, that can't always be quite grasped in the same way that piano music projects which are very tonal based, (Ludovico Einaudi, Michael Nyman) in conventional key modes, but allows a freedom to express and look for a new intricacy that was perhaps not possible before. It is also different to the serialism of Philip Glass, because it tries to look for new paths with a wider spectrum of possibility. Perhaps the style of the György Ligeti études (for solo piano, 18 pieces written between 1985 and 2001) are a precursor to the work of this composition.
If it tickles your brain, and touches your heart in a little wild way, then you can imagine how I felt it was to watch my firstborn grow into a toddler which is exactly what I was trying to grasp when composing this.

Composer 🎼 I’m an artist living in the beautiful country of Austria
I love to create music that is multifaceted, with polyphonic beauty and uses proportions from visual elements like renaissance architecture or ancient chakra wisdom.
My music is composed to move and touch the emotions, even if the mind can’t quite grasp its style.
Compositions like these are marvelous to hear live in a concert, to be in touch with the incredible artistry of musicians that are able to bring these works alive. All my music owes its presence to these talented people, who can bring my manuscripts, sometimes requiring much practice and patience to interpret the mystery that is not actually written on the page, but written between the notes and in the ether.
I’m glad that you share with me in the discovery of new sounds and music that is possible in this new era.
Thank you for listening and visiting my channel.
I post a new video every evening 🙏🏻✨8pm Vienna
