a new Sabaton animated video is out as well by Yarn Hub titled No Bullets Fly. Please react to that as well!! also great job reacting keep up the good work!!
Something to keep in mind would be the fact that many girls probably lied about their ages and some could possibly have been as young as 14. If she looked old enough she probably could have passed easily, as ages might not have been checked so thoroughly because it meant more bodies for the war. The determination and ferocity in those young women is unreal.
There are a few more facts I can add to this story: 1) The last Night Witch died in 2017. Her name was Yevdokiya Pasko, born in 1919. 2) The woman who came up with this idea for an all-women bombing regiment never made it to the front, her plane being lost when she attempted to reach the front lines in 1943. Her name was Marina Raskova, born in 1912. What most people don't know is that that Marina Raskova knew Stalin personally. 3) When the Night Witches would fly, the lead two planes would act as a decoy to make the German air defenses illuminate the target area, as they needed the light to find their targets. The problem was, due to the wooden nature of the planes, if the Germans used incendiary rounds, the planes would catch fire. 23 of the Night Witches earned the commendation Hero of the Soviet Union.
These women join the ranks of many unsung or underrated female heroes that I look up to. And, I try to share their stories with my daughter because I want her to know limitations don't need to apply to her.
Russians certainly respect the memory of the Night Witches as well as the memory of all men and women, whoever they were or came from, that fought the nazis.
They were both animated by yarnhub who makes awesome history videos his latest one is the battle of castle itter where Americans Germans French and Austrian resistance fought against the SS in the final days of the war
the boys dropped another one over the weekend - SABATON - No Bullets Fly (Animated Story Video) ruclips.net/video/dslO-3GgenY/видео.html .. if your eyes don't spring a leak while watching this you're not human. Have a happy festive season!
I belive their resoning went something like this: ”Taking names? The enemies of the Sovjet Union is not worth the effort, just kill them and reaarm for the next mission”
If there is one thing the Germans were good at doing its giving their enemy's bad ass names like:nigth witches, devil dogs (The US Marine Corps during WW1), hellfigthers (the first afro american units of the US Army during WW1 being later extended by said Hellfigthers to: "the Harlem Hellfigthers") and probably a fuckton of others I didn't mention.
"Patton's Butchers" Patton's 3rd Army Armored Unit which in fact has his Son-in-law on his Army. Germans fears this unit also along his Famed Tank commander Abrams. Germans Shit in fear from Patton ever since we went in France WW1
Ставлю лайк за то что вспомнили о моих предкам задушивших фашистов в их логово и здесь в России есть те кто это помнит а группе Sabbaton отдельный респект
meanwhile in 2021 me - so what you were called again her - were night witches me - cool band name and what do you do her- i kill german me - fantastic fluent in german
Great job, As it is the 76th year Anniversary of the Battle of the bulge right now (started Dec 16, 1944)you should do "Screaming Eagles" and the history channel about the 101st Airborne during that battle
The Soviet Union never forgot its heroes. After the war, they received the appropriate honors and position in society, they were given a promotion in their career and their salary was higher than that of others. Don't talk about what you don't know.
Well I'm pretty sure they didn't take part in the victory parade because there was not enough time to train them in newer planes, but even if your statement was true, the USSR wasn't the only one forgetting about their war heroes, USA and France did it especially with the minorities like the French Senegalese Tirailleurs or the Tuskegee Airmen who were largely forgotten until the 2000's
@@darath1192 Once again, for the particularly gifted. The USSR has never, I repeat, NEVER forgotten its heroes. Even my grandmother, although she did not have any special merits, received her honors as a war veteran. A simple technician who patched up the holes of planes in between battles. Even employees of defense factories and members of the resistance in the occupied territories.
Anti-Soviet (and so anti-Russian) propaganda never stopped to be a thing. You fuckers always hated us and always will, and no amount of pop-history flicks ever changes that. I'd wish younger Russians continuing to keep this simple truth in their minds.
I'm sorry, but whatever quality i pick to watch you, you look like 240p. so i have to guess, that your recording software does someting, but suggests something else to the viewers, which i can not support. i was used to pixels, but i grew out of it.
PLEASE subscribe for more content, thanks!

A summary of how the Soviet Union treated war heroes and soldiers in general after WW2.
