he said 90 days, and to his word on the 90th day at 0400 in the morning they launched their assault across all borders in Manchuria, the first to cross the line were the assault troops who did most of the fighting in berlin. fallowed by ISU122 and t34s. in the north west borders Sherman tanks lead the way and as they broke down the Russians would just leave them behind and push them down the mountain until they reached the rail lines then drove the remain tanks down the rail lines into the heart of Manchuria. by the end of the month they were at the borders of korea. it was not 3 weeks it was 90 days and they used the transiberian railroad to move the entire army across shutting off all civilian trains head to the east to keep the trains rolling east wards
HMS Ark Royal no problem they also launched amphibious operations on northern held japanese islands, and did airbourne drops on japanese airfields in southern manchuria and north parts of korea. And yes manchuria is china lol
Stalin ordered that no less 3500km be taken a day, and from Vladivostok and Mongolia this was happening but it wasnt till they broke through the mountains and made to the rail lines was the northern forces making that quota. The japanese defenders in northern manchuria were strapping bombs to their chest and trying to run and dive under the tanks and they were just getting mowed down. The russian commanders were laughing at the Japanese mind fields saying at how easy they were being found just on top of the ground. And even stated the germans were better fighters than the japanese holding in china. But because the grounds the russians were making was what pushed the us to drop the second atom bomb. Katyusha is a famous girl name in Russian, similar to the English names "Mary", "Isabelle", etc. It has nothing to do with weapons of any sort, its most likely a coincidence or named after the name not this song in particular
I dedicate this song to all Russian and volunteers of all nationalities, fighting in the Special Military Operation. Stay safe and remember this, Katyusha is waiting for your return.
This is a great contribution for English-speakers to understand the song. What would be even better (if you have time) would be to show the words in Russian as they are sung, then below each word the literal individual word translation, and then in the third line the wording as shown above. For instance, parts of the human brain understand individual words one at a time, and other parts of the human brain understand how to string words together into sentences. Dealing with both language deciphering functions is very helpful for translating from any language to any other language so that beginners can obtain maximum comprehension.

*This is my metric-driven English rendition of the classic Russian folk song. I first learned the song as a staple of the sing along teashop, whose name I choose to Anglicize as “The Crucible Flame,” in my first semester at Kyoto University. The cadence I derived from this playlist. I relied on the Japanese version for context; it being the only text I understood.
Apple trees and
pear trees were a flower
River mist
was rising all around.
Young Katyusha went
strolling by the hour
On the steep banks,
O’er the rocky ground.
Young Katyusha went
strolling by the hour
On the steep banks,
O’er the rocky ground.
*****************
By the river’s bank
she sang a love song
Of her hero
in a distant land.
Of the one she’d
dearly loved for so long,
Holding tight
his letters in her hand.
Of the one she’d
dearly loved for so long,
Holding tight
his letters in her hand.
******************
Oh, my song,
song of a maiden’s true love,
To my dear one
travel with the sun.
To the one
who Katyusha loves so,
Bring my greetings
to him, one by one.
To the one who
Katyusha loves so,
Bring my greetings
to him, one by one.
******************
Let him know
that I am true and faithful,
Let him hear
the love song that I send.
Tell him as he defends
our home that grateful,
True Katyusha
our love will defend.
Tell him as he defends
our home that grateful,
True Katyusha
our love will defend.
******************
Apple trees and
pear trees were a flower,
River mist
was rising all around.
Young Katyusha went
strolling by the hour
On the steep banks,
O’er the rocky ground.
Young Katyusha went
strolling by the hour
On the steep banks,
O’er the rocky ground.
