With this storyline, people keep making Rafael the victim when if anyone is most victimized it’s Michael- he lost his entire life over a coincidence and yet Rafael somehow turns it to be Michael intruding. And yet still Michael is willing to leave without saying anything to Jane because he doesn’t want to blow up her life. I personally don’t see how anyone could look at season 5 and want to pick Rafael, to me Jane and Michael will always be the ones who are soulmates.

Rafael will always be a second choice, if Michael was never tortured and taken away Jane never would have even looked at Rafael. He is her backup. The thing about family in this show frustrates me because in early s3 it showed how you make your family work and to let go of the perfect family plan- then they have thrown that idea in the trash the last two seasons.

Losing his memories of the person he wanted to spend the REST OF HIS LIFE with just because he bumped into someone at a coffee place 😐and now he has all his memories back, he feels like two people but all he’s sure about is that he still loves Jane. And yet, Jane chooses Rafael. KNOWING how alone this would leave him, he let her go to be happy. Even though she was taking his heart with her. Michael always put Jane first and made sure she knew he loved her. I loved that about him. Rafael is okay too, but to me Michael is just better in every way. Rafael always gave Jane trouble whenever she chose Michael. But Michael selflessly let Jane go because he cared about her happiness more than anything; if Jane wasn’t happy with him, he’d let her be with someone who could make her happy, not force her to be in a relationship she didn’t want to be in. Rafael literally guilt trips Jane for choosing Michael by saying she’s ruining their family. Rafael told her to be brave, write the book. Chase your dreams. He changed wonderfully, and I loved his character development. He became more mature, and selfless enough to get Michael when Sin Rostro told him about him. But he wasn’t selfless enough to give Jane a moment to think. He acted how he did because he was scared, but he acted like what she was doing was just sooo crazy! He saw how broken she was when Michael left, and now he wanted her to send him away? Michael would have had a serious conversation with Jane to help her SORT OUT her feelings. He would feel just as conflicted as Jane as to what she should do. Not just “send him away it’s you and me now.” To me, Rafael isn’t bad for Jane. I think he’s quite good for her, actually. Pushes her in the right direction. But Michael will always be better, and do better by her.

dude ikr. they could’ve just left him dead or at least have Jane get back together with him. he became an entirely different person and it ruined everyones view of him. he may be different but rafael was forcing Jane to choose between him or the man she had loved and grieved for four years prior to his return as Jason and when Jane was conflicted, rafael got pissed. meanwhile, Michael was willing to leave once he got his memories back without telling Jane just so she could remain happy with rafael, yet Michael was somehow “intruding”. Michsel lost everything and Rafael continued to act like the victim.
According to the creators words he is suppose to make another appearance. Although I don't think they are endgame, I think he gets her pregnant when Rafeal ignores her. In the end, I feel like Michael is pure love. The chemistry for them is off the charts and he has done nothing more then wish Jane to be happy. I don't see that with jafeal. I just see stubbornness until I get my way. Forced chemistry. I tried liking Rafeal. I actually was team Rafeal before I was team Michael, but i shifted after season 2 because he didn't care about Jane, he only cared about family. Which I get is important, but he never gave Jane the respect, honesty and love that Michael gave.
The creators already mentioned Raf is end game. Supposedly he wasn't right for her in the beginning but since he has changed now they work well together.. or so is their justification for bringing back old memories of a beloved character for ratings to only have him be utterly changed in order to be pushed aside... sigh (lol... fortunately there is this video with what one hopes could have been)
I like both of them. Rafael is the "bad boy" who learns to be marriage material and Michael the "good boy" who dies young. I stopped watching as regularly in the middle of the show's run because they committed the usual sin of dragging out the love triangles too long. Not sure how convincing Rafael's redemption has been, although like I said, I didn't see all of it. The show was magic in the beginning and has had its moments since (I think Jane's Dad may be my favorite character--he is hysterical) but I think it's time to end it.

When Jane broke up with Michael in season 1, she told her mother and grandmother that she broke up with Michael because she was falling in love with Rafael. When she almost had sex with Rafael in the pool and her mother asked her what was she thinking, Jane replied I love 💕 him, I want this to work. Do that sound like a person who doesn't know what they want? She loved Rafael dearly, she was backed against the wall, when Raf told her that he didn't love her and I believe she just married Michael as a safe choice.
i’m just gonna stop crying and pretend the show ended at season 3 episode 9 and they got their happy ending and they ended up being the old couple on the porch and had kids of their own and loved each other for as long as they both lived.

I've always liked Rafael, but in terms of who is better for Jane, I feel like Michael wins out. I don't like how Rafael allows himself to go to such dark places when he's upset and how he shuts Jane out when he's like that. He gets kinda mean actually. Michael has always just wanted Jane to be safe and happy. I don't see Rafael putting Jane's feelings in front of his own. I get that he helped Jane pick up the pieces after Michael "died", but if the reverse were true, Michael would have stepped aside so Jane could be with Rafael because Michael loves Jane more than life. All that being said, I'm cool with what ever way it tuns out because if it's not making all of us cry, it's not a real telenovela!

Yeah - Michael truly loved her, and Jane truly loved him until Mateo. A child changed everything. If she had been pregnant with Michael's baby or even had a Michael baby after Mateo then it would have been different. I hated the way Michael came back. Ugly character. And hated the way they parted with Charlie acting like a low-life, nasty person married to such a sweet man who's passion was once being a detective and romance. Rogelio was his best man and they didn't show any empathy or compassion really once Michael came back. Michael's life was stolen from him, he went through hell, and no one seemed to recognize this. Everyone was more focused on themselves so all seemed rushed and out of character. It was the only thing about the whole series and the name "Baby" for the baby that was really off and bad.

I can explain it for you. It's because Rafael and Jane's love is the kind of love you fantasize about as a child who doesn't know any better. But Michael and Jane's love is real love, the stable, neverending love that you actually need. The love you tend to find when you grow up and mature.
Also the part, “If she could do it over she knew the answer was yes because of how it all ended.” She has her chance in the recent episode and she doesn’t which makes me sad. Why doesn’t she recognise that her true love is Michael.

This is so stunning! I've always been Team Rafael, but over the years (and after a rewatch) I came to like Team Michael. Personally, I'm surprised to see Jane and Michael's "reunion" story dissolve this quickly, but I understand they're at completely different places in their lives now. But...I don't know, I think they did a bit of a disservice to Michael this season. I would have thought they'd at least explore their story a tiny bit longer. But likely there's a reason they're doing it now (the creator did say Michael will come back before the show is over).

I love Jane and Rafael because I find their story so relatable, life is not some big fairy tale and you're taken on this magic carpet ride. Life is about choices and for better or for worse you have to stick with those choices. As Jane to told Raf in season 1, you got to fight for what you want and he fought and won her heart. Btw I am 40+ years old, and I don't consider myself as a younger person.

if Jennie’s plan all along was to make Jane and Rafael endgame, I don’t understand why they made Michael and Jane’s love literal perfection. It was that real, bestfriend kind of love that people could actually relate to and wanted to have. Michael always respected her and her choices, even now when his life was stolen from him.. and not one person seems to care about the pain he’s gone through, he accepts that she wants to be with Rafael and just wants her to be happy. He hid his pain from her as he left in his truck so she wouldn’t feel badly about her decision. This is true love, I don’t care how hard they try to force Jane and Rafael On is.. they just have never and will never connect like these two.

My heart broke into millions of pieces when she chose Rafael. Micheal was always there for her. They never had a single fight that would cause them to break up. But for Rafael and Jane there fights are constant. Micheal was the right one for her not Rafael.
This show can be absolutely brilliant and you captured them brilliantly. I've never seen a better and more (shall we say?) realistic resolution to the "amnesia storyline" in any show than in this "telenovela" (which despite the over-the-top plots manages also to provide more realistic drama than most shows!) I feel like I can root for both Team Michael and Team Rafael and it's okay, because both can be the love of her life according to the show. Beautiful tribute to Team Michael.

Michsel lost everything and Rafael continued to act like the victim.
According to the creators words he is suppose to make another appearance. Although I don't think they are endgame, I think he gets her pregnant when Rafeal ignores her. In the end, I feel like Michael is pure love. The chemistry for them is off the charts and he has done nothing more then wish Jane to be happy. I don't see that with jafeal. I just see stubbornness until I get my way. Forced chemistry. I tried liking Rafeal. I actually was team Rafeal before I was team Michael, but i shifted after season 2 because he didn't care about Jane, he only cared about family. Which I get is important, but he never gave Jane the respect, honesty and love that Michael gave.

I like both of them. Rafael is the "bad boy" who learns to be marriage material and Michael the "good boy" who dies young. I stopped watching as regularly in the middle of the show's run because they committed the usual sin of dragging out the love triangles too long. Not sure how convincing Rafael's redemption has been, although like I said, I didn't see all of it. The show was magic in the beginning and has had its moments since (I think Jane's Dad may be my favorite character--he is hysterical) but I think it's time to end it.

Jane said to her 'Luisa doesn't love you anymore, sometimes people fall out of love like Michael and I did'. When Jane broke up with Michael in season 1, she told her mother and grandmother that she broke up with Michael because she was falling in love with Rafael. When she almost had sex with Rafael in the pool and her mother asked her what was she thinking, Jane replied I love 💕 him, I want this to work. Do that sound like a person who doesn't know what they want? She loved Rafael dearly, she was backed against the wall, when Raf told her that he didn't love her and I believe she just married Michael as a safe choice.

I've always liked Rafael, but in terms of who is better for Jane, I feel like Michael wins out. I don't like how Rafael allows himself to go to such dark places when he's upset and how he shuts Jane out when he's like that. He gets kinda mean actually. Michael has always just wanted Jane to be safe and happy. I don't see Rafael putting Jane's feelings in front of his own. I get that he helped Jane pick up the pieces after Michael "died", but if the reverse were true, Michael would have stepped aside so Jane could be with Rafael because Michael loves Jane more than life.
All that being said, I'm cool with what ever way it tuns out because if it's not making all of us cry, it's not a real telenovela!

Yeah - Michael truly loved her, and Jane truly loved him until Mateo. A child changed everything. If she had been pregnant with Michael's baby or even had a Michael baby after Mateo then it would have been different. I hated the way Michael came back. Ugly character. And hated the way they parted with Charlie acting like a low-life, nasty person married to such a sweet man who's passion was once being a detective and romance. Rogelio was his best man and they didn't show any empathy or compassion really once Michael came back. Michael's life was stolen from him, he went through hell, and no one seemed to recognize this. Everyone was more focused on themselves so all seemed rushed and out of character. It was the only thing about the whole series and the name "Baby" for the baby that was really off and bad.

I can explain it for you. It's because Rafael and Jane's love is the kind of love you fantasize about as a child who doesn't know any better. But Michael and Jane's love is real love, the stable, neverending love that you actually need. The love you tend to find when you grow up and mature.
Also the part, “If she could do it over she knew the answer was yes because of how it all ended.” She has her chance in the recent episode and she doesn’t which makes me sad. Why doesn’t she recognise that her true love is Michael.

This is so stunning! I've always been Team Rafael, but over the years (and after a rewatch) I came to like Team Michael. Personally, I'm surprised to see Jane and Michael's "reunion" story dissolve this quickly, but I understand they're at completely different places in their lives now. But...I don't know, I think they did a bit of a disservice to Michael this season. I would have thought they'd at least explore their story a tiny bit longer. But likely there's a reason they're doing it now (the creator did say Michael will come back before the show is over).

I feel like the people who think Jane deserves to be with Rafael are younger because the story Michael and Jane go through it more realistic. They fought for what they had and had to go through so much.
I love Jane and Rafael because I find their story so relatable, life is not some big fairy tale and you're taken on this magic carpet ride. Life is about choices and for better or for worse you have to stick with those choices. As Jane to told Raf in season 1, you got to fight for what you want and he fought and won her heart. Btw I am 40+ years old, and I don't consider myself as a younger person.

Say what u want, I’m glad they brought Michael back. I feel like Jane moved on but it was still kinda bleeding underneath her scars. Seeing Michael again and properly breaking up things really made the thing official that she moved on. Sure it was unfortunate that they didn’t end up together (they really were soulmates😭) but they each had their moment to say goodbye so it’s good for me (even though I am and will always be team michael)
if Jennie’s plan all along was to make Jane and Rafael endgame, I don’t understand why they made Michael and Jane’s love literal perfection. It was that real, bestfriend kind of love that people could actually relate to and wanted to have. Michael always respected her and her choices, even now when his life was stolen from him.. and not one person seems to care about the pain he’s gone through, he accepts that she wants to be with Rafael and just wants her to be happy. He hid his pain from her as he left in his truck so she wouldn’t feel badly about her decision. This is true love, I don’t care how hard they try to force Jane and Rafael On is.. they just have never and will never connect like these two.

This show can be absolutely brilliant and you captured them brilliantly. I've never seen a better and more (shall we say?) realistic resolution to the "amnesia storyline" in any show than in this "telenovela" (which despite the over-the-top plots manages also to provide more realistic drama than most shows!) I feel like I can root for both Team Michael and Team Rafael and it's okay, because both can be the love of her life according to the show. Beautiful tribute to Team Michael.
