1 star anise
3-4 cinnamon sticks
2 black cardamoms
5 green cardamoms
7-8 cloves
1 piece of mace
½ tsp black peppercorns
1½ tsp cumin
1 cup curd
1 tsp coriander powder
1½ tsp fennel powder
1½ tsp garam masala powder
2 tbsp ginger and garlic paste

I personally find chicken pulao tastier than chicken biryani because the rice cooks in the meat's juices. Leg pieces and thighs are the best for this.

I tried this biryani today in Iftar... it turned out so good. I never tried this type of biryani it was so tasty and so easy.
