When you mention CVT i cringe. That was an impossible dream until recently. How come it is so prevalent today? In theory, I prefer e-power. Can u drive 1 yard with the mirrors folded? Thanks.
Why do you cringe when I mention CVT? What was an impossible dream? Are you asking why CVTs are common today? Why would you want to drive with the mirrors folded?

Hi To me the tutorial like the car was OK, and the equipment on the dashboard beside the latest technology was easy controls, Knobs, Levers etc, Reading through the comments, could not come to any conclusion. How good or bad the vehicle was. Regards welshman 2081

Greetings from Oz Harry. Thanks for the review, nice job. One point however: you say you wouldn't trust the steering assist on the motorway after engaging it for all of 5 seconds on what looks like a B-road? I have the exact same system on my X Trail e-Power and use it constantly on freeways and our A & B road equivalents here in Australia. Like all tech on cars, it requires a degree of common-sense (eg: knowing when and where NOT to use it). However, once one takes the leap of faith the anxiety with trusting the system on curves and slight bends (with hands still on the wheel) will disappear. Mindful of the fact that it won't allow you to drive totally 'hands-free', it turns out that driven by anyone other than a suicidal idiot it works very well. Just setting the record straight lest it deter folks from buying this highly competent tech-loaded smaller sibling to the X Trail.
Apologies for any confusion, we generally have each test car for a week so I had been using it throughout including testing out the steering assist. I found once In a while it would lock in and keep me centered in the lane but it would disengage without much warning and at other times it seemed much less eager to assist, only kicking in as you approached one of the edges of the lane
The point is: Nissan can keep advancing the best EV powertrain and transmission technologies on this system. I really appreciate it.

I wouldn’t buy a crossover myself.
The CR-V came first, but the Qashqai certainly popularised the crossover to the point it's now the dominant form factor
Nobody really cares if you want a crossover or not the video is for people that have one or want to buy one not what you want
Thought the spec with sunroof had quilted leather?
That's tekna plus, this is tekna, plus also gets you massage seats and different wheels
@@BuckleUpShowgets confusing then, over here (NZ) only the top spec has sunroof, plus massage, Bose, quilted leather. Your spec to me is like an in between model.
British consumers must be really picky bastards then. Seems we're willing to pay some extra money for certain things but not everything, hence the additional trim levels 🤣

No, the electricity is being generated by petrol, so it still has tailpipe emissions and therefore has to pay VED

I land on quishquash most days
Looked at one of these a year or so ago. Came to the conclusion it’s a daft way of making people feel they’re being green or have an ev when it clearly isn’t. Not convinced consumption is any better than a normal ice car so nothing to get excited about. Neither one thing or another.
It achieves lower tail pipe emissions than other hybrid systems, which is key to keeping Nissan's fleet average down. Some people report getting better economy than a standard hybrid but I didn't really, I think I would if I did mostly town driving though.
Looks very plasticky inside the cabin see loads of these on the road not many e -power versions though
They're all e Powers round our way
it's the best in its category until now.
What beats it?
@BuckleUpShow l think the volvo xc40..b4 .2.0...took one out today great car...and l drive a qashqai and will be having the volvo over this latest version of the qashqai.

Clarifying that in the original comment would have helped 😅 In terms of capability, Honda's e-HEV system is slightly better. Nissan focus more on the EV elements at a slight detriment to overall efficiency versus Honda's system.

To get greater efficiency of power transfer from the chemical reaction becoming forward motion
