    Nice job on the articulated mayfly. When I tye an articulated I use a piece of stainless wire from the bead wire for the tail & the connection to the hook. I pull out one strand from the 19 to use.

    E for effort there Jim. You can make articulated bodies from rubber glove material wrapped to a needle in your vise and coated with head cement and once dry it slides off in a great taper shape. That can be attached directly to your hook or if you want a wiggle, attached to a small length of mono that has been tied to the hook shank like a tail. Very realistic looking. I can send you a picture if my instructions are not clear.

      Don't disagree with you, I prefer natural materials myself.
