I’ll forever be hyped when the predator squared up on the bear, wrestled it, straight up slugged it so hard that it either killed the bear or knocked it out and the proceeded to lift probably 700lbs of dead weight above its head
Probably 800lbs, adult male grizzlies can weigh up to 900lbs. The world's strongest men can only push press around 480lbs overhead. The predator is a unit.
I love that the Feral Hunter actually meets his prey on their terms. He kills the snake by lunging at it with his "fangs." He gets on all fours to fight the wolf. He uses every ounce of his strength to wrestle the bear. When he meets prey of rivaling intelligence (humans) he uses tools and weapons just like they do.
As a Predator and Alien fan,I ABSOLUTELY love how the Yautja is represented here.He seems more of an actual hunter here like the first movie unlike some versions where they are represented as straight up killers when that's not what they are.I hope the next Predator movie is as good, and I hope Alien Romulus also makes honor to the original source.
The Feral Yautja didn't use his weapons to kill it He fought that bear on fair terms. Punched it out cold and i believe snapped its neck in the process, killing it.
This is a great scene to show the character of this Predator. The bear overpowers the Predator when they get in close combat. Then Predator gets up from getting his ass kicked and learns to approach the fight differently, using technique to compensate for his lack of strength.
Love how everyone is worried about the dog, and how when the dog runs back they're all what?,..but they so should see Super 8, cracks me up when the dogs in that scene, like 20 dogs running down a street, the freaking middle of the street, running, barking,..like Paul Revere, warning everybody to run for their lives,..lol with good reason you find later in the movie,..then in Prey, love how they were all shocked predator punched the bear and knocked him cold,..huh,.well in original Conan The Barbarian, Conan punched a Camel out,..lol,..I mean if you got, huh the moxy, you can punch a huge animal apparently,..lol ...great mashup,..Godspeed, Peace ✌
if you really think about it and what we know from bears and this predator from each kill he fought them on their level and terms. So we know bears, they maul you and walk away, in predator culture what would that signify if you've never encountered that type of beast before? You 1v1 mauls you, does a roar which would be taken as victory yell, and walk away, while you're still alive, You'd see it as disrespectful, so he ended it disrespectfully in one blow
"Protect your dog." this emphasis on pets is insane, not to mention the most glaring point that even if she wanted to she wouldn't be able to and it puts her at danger.
More the opposite. We are never too sure how strong a predator is compared to a human and this one is different in species and probably strength since this one seems weaker than the average one. If the bear was smarter than it actually was, the predator would respond in kind by using more of its own arsenal such as wrist blades and net to be closer to even.
This movie was probably the best Predator movie since the original. It got so much right-wing backlash for having a woman as the protagonist, but she absolutely killed it, and the way they showed her progressing in skill, learning about the Predator because everyone, including it, underestimated her, until she knew just enough to barely survive… unbelievable storytelling.
discordo.
Eh I disagree she was a skinny kid that got saved a lot in the film. I get her learning more but her skill excelling doesn’t work timeline wise and the final kill with the predator having a doh face as it shot itself in the head was bad
The dog. Duh. It's an animal. It has purpose as a dog. In these times the people ate dogs among other animals to survive. If a dog had purpose alive then it did. No wonder in this time humans are losing; there is misplacement of what is important. And, why do you think dogs are born in litters? It's not because humans need more dogs, that's dubba duh.
I haven't seen this yet but the actress just looks too young and babyish to me. I've seen pictures of Native American women from like the 19th and early 20th century and they look hard-bitten and tough, probably mostly from their experiences and environment I would say. This girl just looks too much like a product of modern day.
She’s not even a fully grown adult woman. She’s a teenager. The younger women in those old images don’t look nearly as hardened as the adults. I’d say this is fine.
@@AnthonyMartin-k8m That god awful CGI, my guy? Alright, I realize now that this thread was stupid and unnecessary cause not only have you not seen the movie and thus don’t understand the circumstances of what’s going on, but you’re clearly a ragebaiter at that. Deuces.
@@richardch.4356 This is 2022, it's THAT bad. And it's not just this movie, it's a general trend of bad, lazy cgi and I don't know why that is. It legit PUNCHED the bear SO HARD, it BROKE it's MAW.

That punch definitely snapped the bear's neck
Or a blunt trauma to the head.
For a second, I thought it BROKE it's jaw. But that makes more sense.
You can definitely hear a "crack" when the predator punched the bear, did it kill then or something broke?! Who knows, really.
That Feral Predator came through with the one hitter quitter on that bear 🤣
6:16 “Dayum!” is pretty much how all of us reacted to that punch.
I can confirm that's exactly how I reacted!
The sheer strength to put a bear to "sleep" with a single punch...that's insane...

One of the most epic scenes on celluloid.
Fun fact: the noise that the predator makes is actually voiced by Peter Cullen. He voiced Optimus Prime.
*Leading the bear away*
Sarii: Come and get me, fat boi!
*Running from the bear*
Sarii: RUN! I fucked up, run!!
Bear had a good shot without Predators invisibility I reckon, still would have lost obviously but fair play
Kudos to the bear for actually putting up a fight and giving the predator a run for his money! The bear would have won if he had just kept going

@christophercardoza2872 ehh, the predator underestimated it to begin with.
He has no problems with bears, but has trouble with girls.
He very obviously had a problem with the bear also, yes every single predator movie shows predators getting screwed up by humans with intelligence

This movie was actually so good, i loved it. But i also havent seen all the alien movies.

You know the common thing between a predator and a woman ? They both chose the bear
do yall think that if the bear didn't let up, would it have won?
