    From one of Alex's other videos (rear brake pads change) he showed an AWESOME way to put your Rover suspension into the "extended" mode! I don't know what years this applies to, but it certainly works for my 2015 full-size SC. Simply turn on the flashers (ignition off) and press/hold the "light" button and the "unlock" button on your remote. Magic! No matter what your current ride height, your beastie will quickly inflate rears and fronts until extended mode is achieved. LOVE IT!

    Do you have to use a jack to get into extended mode? Not sure I understand why that was done?

    • @rhkavli
      @rhkavli Год назад +1

      You need to let the car think it has hit an obstacle. A jackstand is the simplest way to do it.

    Privyet... the question is does it stay locked in this mode? Does it drop lower at 30 mph? I'm currently looking for a software "lift" for my 2006 L322 so I can drive to central america. Where is your shop droog?

    • @alexfixty
      @alexfixty  3 года назад

      It drops down after 30mph, you can install lift kit (lift rods)

    • @rhkavli
      @rhkavli Год назад

      You can re-calibrate the nominal level with a height calibration tool. But probably not to the level you're looking for.

    Hey alex
    How we can change the rear suspension of L405 range rover Vogue

  • @luckytomster
    @luckytomster 2 года назад

    Question. I know it's hard to diagnose over the internet but i am having a problem. Every time i lower my 2013 range rover hse into access hight, it immediately goes into extended mode. I go into the 4x4 screen and i don't see a problem with the sensors and i am not off road. Do you have any recommendations or ideas to look for this problem? Thank you.

    • @rhkavli
      @rhkavli Год назад

      I'm quite sure this is a height calibration issue or an issue with one of the height sensors. When you lower the car, it bottoms out instead of leaving a small clearance. When the levelling computer expects a further change in level, but that level change is not seen by the computer, it thinks it has hit solid ground and send it sky high to clear that virtual obstacle. To diagnose this, you'll need a levelling calibration tool.

    @Land Rover Tech I have a 2016 Range Rover Supercharged and when turning left or right from a complete stop the Back wheels have a shudder feel like they are skipping or sticking while turning. Would you happen to know what the problem could be? I’ve read the Fluid in the Rear end needs to be changed because it doesn’t perform well in cold Weather and I live in Chicago.

    • @alexfixty

      Hi! Difficult to say. Better to get good diagnostic.

    • @zoopa999
      @zoopa999 2 года назад

      I had that issue as well just in the past few months. Ended up just changing the front AND rear differential fluid and as well added an additive from Germany made specifically for the RR and so far it's fixed!

    • @DeviantDiscoveries
      @DeviantDiscoveries 2 года назад

      @@justdave5121 Do you mean you need a jack (or in other words the car has to hit something underneath) before extended or super extended mode can be an option?

    • @jonscott6896
      @jonscott6896 2 года назад +2

      @@DeviantDiscoveries Yes, it will only go into extended mode if the sensors see that the car is grounded, it can't be selected manually

    • @zoopa999
      @zoopa999 Год назад

      @@justdave5121 I didn't. It probably only works if it hits high-center as a back up feature. You shouldn't have to jack the damn thing up to go in that mode. Perhaps this was just an example of what it can do in the wild.
