This music video won the Norwegian Grammy for best music video that year. I remember Aurora saying it was really cold in Iceland and it was something like a 20+ foot tall ladder in a foot of water and it was windy. There was no security measures so if she fell she would’ve been seriously hurt. Not sure what they were thinking but that sounds super dangerous!
The video was filmed in Iceland, the water with the ladder is a actual place. The scene in the cave waterfall took some hours and the water was freeezing cold.
Here is Aurora sharing some insights on the making of this video since I know you love a bit of context 👍ruclips.net/video/pl8DVa4HV6E/видео.html&ab_channel=CBCMusic
Very cool song and music video. I think it was not totally safe to film it as it was very cold and she really climb the ladder with her almost frozen hands (at last based what I hear about making the video) ;). I like her "Viking like" hair in this video/period. I recommend her live performance of this song on Honda Stage (very cool concert with a little more rockish vibes), It has to be a concert in similar time as making this video as she has similar hair there :).
ty for a good start into this tuesday morning. i can't wait for your reaction to 'the river' mv. i'm not sure which winterbird video you will react to but i hope it's the MIT version, where she has a beautiful choreographed dance.
There are very little of Aurora that is pointless and frivolous. In real life she may seem a bit whimsical and playful but she is a very thoughtful being. Young body, old soul. I really enjoy taking this journey with you ashlena. Love from Norway.
Beautiful song, "kind of sad, but not so sad", as someone said one day...🙂 As many people, I hear her singing about a complicated relationship. It's the first interpretation that comes naturally to mind, I guess. But it can be interesting to listen to what she said one day on stage about it: Aurora explains I went too far Song: ruclips.net/video/CQFH2dKKd38/видео.html Interesting, and that doesn't exclude any interpretation, as in a way she sings about a more general mechanism, how you can get away from yourself to get something, consideration, love, anything in fact (and this need we can have, a kind of insecurity?). In a way, our interpretation is only an exemple where this mechanism applies. Thanks for the nice reaction to Aurora, who can go everywhere she wants, even too far, as long as she's able to come back to us in the end...🙂👍
Nice reaction and loved your thoughts shared. I love this song, live on the Honda stage is my favorite of it. Thanks for sharing and caring as we say here, lol.
Same here. I think I ruined the album version for myself a bit as I watched the Honda Stage version first. Her quirky introduction also adds to it 😊. This version is growing on me though.
😀Aurora's Live on the Honda Stage!!!😀👍👍👍Adorably quirky, radiant with such powerful emotions... Yes, it can be said that it leaves a... rather deep imprint...🤩
Awesome, it's 11pm in Lima the Gray City, winter kicked in.....not like your winter with frozen water in the pipes but nasty and dull anyway so Aurora makes it better as usual txs Maam! N this is a helluva vid.....she's so good with visuals........I simply love the lady!
@@ashlenamusic The song is about fitting in with friends and society, something I always have had problems with. I had friends, but when I was together with them I always felt alone. I was the one sitting in the corner by myself. It was not their fault, but mine. Also unreturned love. I was secretly inlove with a girl friend for over 30years, we talked about everything. I saw her boyfriends (for her ) come and go. In my mind I hoped that one time maybe she would think, hmm maybe he(me) could be the love of my life. A few years ago I told her how I felt and after that she have ghosted me. And again it`s not her fault it`s me. I know by saying it to her would damage to our relationship, I took the risk and lost 😞 I also had a alcohol problem (now 6 years sober) and as I say to people this is thanks to 3 people. My son and 2 women from Bergen(city in Norway) AURORA and the mother to my son.
@@ashlenamusic Also I just finished my 3 week summer vacation, and I must say this have been the best vacation in my 54 years life. 4 AURORA concerts in 3 weeks and also met and talked with the mother, father and oldest sister 🙂
Furthermore, I have always known that she never had that same feelings for me that I had for her. She will always have a special place (now hidden) in my heart, but I have finally moved on
HI dear Ashlena ! What a wonderful reaction to this wonderful song ! Besides "Lucky", this is the sscond song, Aurora actually wrote when she was 9 years old. The live version of this song is also worth reacting to : "Aurora - I went too far (Live from Honda Stage)" I Now I am looking forward to the other two music videos you reacted to today... I will comment on them, as well.... Best wishes from Germany : Gerry
Ashlena, thank you for your 'triple header' on Aurora Tuesday!!! As you go through the list of music videos I don't think that you will find any that are not beautiful or amusing to you. Aurora takes charge in the development and production of all of them. She does have pros who do the very technical things, though. You may have seen my comments that there is only one music video for 'Animal' on AURORA's channel. EDIT: I was wrong - an early pre-release video of 'Animal' is on the Exist For Love channel: AURORA - Animal (Early Version). There are two videos for 'Daydreamer' - one on AURORA's channel and one recently leaked by someone associated with the original filming. It was passed over by Aurora (or management) because of some video content. It is on the Exist For Love channel: AURORA - Daydreamer
I absolutely adore this video... The ones she made before this were fine...but never connected with me. Running with the Wolves isn't bad, but the rest just feel like some generic record exec asked chat gpt to come up with some basic idea, and they went with it. >_< But this one...something about it REALLY connected with me when I first saw it. For one, I love the song. But something about the Nordic atmosphere of it all...the icy sea, the white light, the jet black stone cave, the green moss, her dark metallic dress, as well as her very emotive performance....just feels weirdly transcendent to me. It's the first, but not last, truly great Aurora video...imo. :) Also love The River, Apple Tree, and Giving in to the Love quite a lot.
If you like music videos that make you think and/or add to the meaning of the song, I can't wait until you see some of The Warning's videos, particularly "XXI Century Blood" and "Disciple."
Not even Billie Eilish's MVs??? 🥲They are all very meaningful and relatable to each song.... Well I respect your opinion anyway. PS. marinamarinamarinamarinamarina 💎
Two Auroras and a glacier-cave. Love it.

It's Tuesday x
It is!
Generally her live performances are the best, she sings in the moment.
I’ve seen a couple and loved them way more than her albums and music videos

Can’t wait
Did you cut the video or was it for copywrite ?
As her reaction to All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend was blocked, "scalded cat fears cold water", I guess...
She notes in the description that the video was blocked in Norway for copyright so she made cuts.
@@devynbarat7777 😀... When we have to realize that we should read more, or better, the video descriptions... Thanks.🙂👍
