Night King I’m not Pocari, but I have a little advice. I have bad social anxiety too, but I have have found ways to belong. I have an art account where I make stories and art. I have a lot of people who support me because of this, and it makes me more confident in social life. This probably didn’t help, but that’s just me. It helps to know that there are people who like my art and like to talk to me, so I can be more confident.
(i’m also not pocari, but) i went to anthrocon a year ago and had the worst time of my life due to social anxiety /: you really have to prepare yourself and build yourself up for big things like that. while the community is wonderful, it can be extremely overwhelming. it’s all small steps, friend. i, and many others, believe in you and support you :3 hope things go well
I'm not a furry and I'm certainly not Pocari, but I've noticed that with the amount of diversity in the furry fandom, most people tend to be very accepting and caring towards others, regardless of age and social anxiety. In fact, from my observation, a lot of people seem to be drawn toward the fandom BECAUSE of social anxiety, so I'm sure you will find comfort and support in those who can sympathize with you based on their own personal experience. I'm not an expert my any means, but I'm sure you will find your place and be greeted with acceptance and kindness from those around you. Hope this helps in some way!

chamomile helps with anxiety, whether it's the tea or having a supplement tablet prior to or even just the night before, this is coming from someone in a family of people with Aspergers so anxiety is quite common and we all have experienced the changes after having it.

I seem to have the same problem, I wouldn't hesitate if it weren't for the fact that one of my friends kinda hates on the Fandom and another thinks it's only about sex. I've tried explaining that it's not (since they brought up the topic it was fairly easy to explain that I was researching the Fandom, since at that time I was). He didn't really seem to get the hint to stop bashing the Fandom for its sexual side -.-
@Daniel at the end and anyone else with a similar issue: you can buy hiking backpacks that are full of water and have a little drinking tube that you can feed up through the inside of the suit. It might make a tiny lump in the back, but most of them are slim and not too bad. If you desperately need water, it's right there with a little mouthpiece. The only thing is to make sure you have a handler who would know about the water bladder on your back so no one surprise jumps you. But they are usually pretty sturdy too
I have a question Pacari, I have a "friend" and he says a should not get a fursuit because it's weird or if I do get one I should not wear it at school because it would be weird. Should I not get a fursuit of my character that took hours to draw? -Void the Dutch Angel Dragon
I'm not Pocari but if you ask me, you should get a fursuit if you really want one. It's your choice, not your friend's. I do suggest not to wear it at school though.
I agree if I where to tell everyone in my school that I was a furry my school year would be a disaster! But you should get a fursuit. I wish I could afford one.

One thing I want to say is that they actually have backpacks that have hydration packs in them that you can drink from because they have a tube for,well,you to drink from.they don’t spill and come in small to hiking packs.a cool alternative to regular water bottles.
One of my friends is making me a free partial fursuit and she is only 13! I’m so glad to be able to give her so much inspiration and advice on my art to help her develop her art as well! She is so sweet and I hope to work with her in the future!
For someone who dehydrates a lot quicker; maybe a water backpack will help? I like to use them, as you constantly have water on you and it’s a small tube you can fit in the muzzle (or sneak under the neck). You can also cover it with a cuter back pack over the top; or put it in that one if it works.
Im 13 but im ordering a suit. Its only because ive been saving money for 4 years... Ive a been a furry for that long even if am young! Dont judge a young fur with a suit by their head. 😂
Bird Daddy, it's great and all that you've saved up and all, but it would be a reeaally good idea to wait until you are in your upper teens to twenty something or other, because if you buy your suit now, you'll grow out of it by next year, and that would stink, I know, waiting also stinks, but at least you could still save even more so that your suit can be more detailed, or full suit, or better somehow, and also fit you longer

I really love interspecies relationships in the furry fandom, I just think they're really adorable! Not to mention me and my partners fursona are different species, mine being an Eagle Owl and my partner being an Emperor Moth, a very odd combination but it's cute for me! As for what animal I would be, well I've already said it, an Eagle Owl, specifically a Eurasian Eagle Owl. Reason why is because I already fit most characteristics of an owl and of course I am a night owl, I mean, I'm writing this comment at 3 in the morning xD. I always prefer to just be myself and I feel comfortable with that thought so one day I just found what animal best suits me and draw myself as that animal of course with some noticeable similarities appearence wise like my hair, body type and clothes.

I’m two years late but I just joined the fandom recently so don’t worry about it. Assuming you could be a hybrid in this fictional world, I’d be my fursona, he’s a bear-fox hybrid named Box (because that was the first name I thought of and I thought it was funny and kinda cute). I chose a bear-fox hybrid because I thought those two animals captured my personality pretty well, playful, mischievous, and kinda lazy lol.
My fursona is a platypus, so that's what I'd be in a furry world. I've always loved water, but also trails on land. I was also the "weird one" in high school, and not many people would chose a platypus. I have seen a few other platypus fursonas around, but it's a really unique creature that suits my creativity.

My friends and I started an art club at our school, back in December. We had a few people join and we all draw what we are interested in. My best friend draws her love story pictures, I draw mythical creatures and furries, my other friends draws things out of games like fnaf, another guy draws cars, and one draws war things. It is the best, but now we can't talk or draw together because of this stupid virus.

I would be my sona, a blue and white wolf. Wolves have a strong loyalty to their packs and can be silly or good leaders. Sometimes they can even go at things alone, but are happier and more successful in packs
A deer for sure! Quick, graceful, easy to find a food source, and I kinda feel like a meek and humble herbivore. I also love the HUGE ears and big doe eyes.

To the question at 9:45 I would like to say that I have Type one Diabetes as well and the best thing to do is before suiting to just make sure your blood glucose is at a higher point to be safe. I do this when ever I want to do something like running. However, a handler would be very wise to have with you. Also, always have your Dexcom (or what ever company your insurance company forces you to use) in reach on you from your fursuit. The worst thing is to not know your BG level while doing something physical. Btw, jelly beans aren’t as fabulous a treat while having a low blood sugar as smarties.
I would definitely go with a Harris hawk. Beautiful and majestic birds of prey. But, also used to have 3 of them as pets. They were strong, but gentle towards me and my brother's so it'll always be a soft spot for me

I have a question! I've got a Sona, however,, she's a dragon. I'd love to make a head for her, but since she's a dragon, i'm really worried on how the heck i would have the skin on the head. Im not saying its easy to fur a head, but sewing sheets of fur is much easier to do and hide seams. If by some god sent fabric, if there was a 'reptile skin' fabric, 1.) Wouldnt it be near impossible to fur (uh, skin?) A head with that kind of fabric as you would see every single seam, and 2.) Fursuit heads are hOT as it is, wouldn't a 'skin' like head be even hotter? I guess its just a little disheartening to think i can never make myself a head without resorting to a really shaved down fur like most other dragon suiters do. I'm curious as to what anyone else thinks about this.
For the daniel in the last question, maybe carry a sugary beverage? or maybe something like a camelback with sugarwater or etc, idk what a person with your condition may need, but a medical bracelet could be a prudent idea if you are suiting alone. not sure how risky it may be for ya, you might want a handler for atleast the first couple dozen times. a good friend might be good :)

I always find it interesting to hear that people would choose Canada over the US. Many people believe that the US is super unsafe, and while it is true that some parts are unsafe, there are also lots of unsafe places in Canada too. The problem is that Canada's population is so small (I think it's around 36 million now?) that any major events barely ever make international news haha. I have lived in Canada my whole life, but I'm dying to get down to the states! It's far too cold here for me, and I find that there are just so many more opportunities down in the US to make a good living. But that's just my opinion on things, hopefully soon I can live somewhere on the ocean where I won't freeze like an ice cube everyday!

I seem to have the same problem, I wouldn't hesitate if it weren't for the fact that one of my friends kinda hates on the Fandom and another thinks it's only about sex. I've tried explaining that it's not (since they brought up the topic it was fairly easy to explain that I was researching the Fandom, since at that time I was). He didn't really seem to get the hint to stop bashing the Fandom for its sexual side -.-

@Daniel at the end and anyone else with a similar issue: you can buy hiking backpacks that are full of water and have a little drinking tube that you can feed up through the inside of the suit. It might make a tiny lump in the back, but most of them are slim and not too bad. If you desperately need water, it's right there with a little mouthpiece.
The only thing is to make sure you have a handler who would know about the water bladder on your back so no one surprise jumps you. But they are usually pretty sturdy too

I'm not Pocari but if you ask me, you should get a fursuit if you really want one. It's your choice, not your friend's.

One thing I want to say is that they actually have backpacks that have hydration packs in them that you can drink from because they have a tube for,well,you to drink from.they don’t spill and come in small to hiking packs.a cool alternative to regular water bottles.

For someone who dehydrates a lot quicker; maybe a water backpack will help? I like to use them, as you constantly have water on you and it’s a small tube you can fit in the muzzle (or sneak under the neck). You can also cover it with a cuter back pack over the top; or put it in that one if it works.
Im 13 but im ordering a suit. Its only because ive been saving money for 4 years... Ive a been a furry for that long even if am young! Dont judge a young fur with a suit by their head. 😂
Bird Daddy, it's great and all that you've saved up and all, but it would be a reeaally good idea to wait until you are in your upper teens to twenty something or other, because if you buy your suit now, you'll grow out of it by next year, and that would stink, I know, waiting also stinks, but at least you could still save even more so that your suit can be more detailed, or full suit, or better somehow, and also fit you longer

I really love interspecies relationships in the furry fandom, I just think they're really adorable! Not to mention me and my partners fursona are different species, mine being an Eagle Owl and my partner being an Emperor Moth, a very odd combination but it's cute for me!
As for what animal I would be, well I've already said it, an Eagle Owl, specifically a Eurasian Eagle Owl. Reason why is because I already fit most characteristics of an owl and of course I am a night owl, I mean, I'm writing this comment at 3 in the morning xD. I always prefer to just be myself and I feel comfortable with that thought so one day I just found what animal best suits me and draw myself as that animal of course with some noticeable similarities appearence wise like my hair, body type and clothes.

It was also very nice to see that pocari at least acted like they understand what it is, because people usually dont understand it or hear diabetes and think type two diabetes. I’m two years late but I just joined the fandom recently so don’t worry about it. Assuming you could be a hybrid in this fictional world, I’d be my fursona, he’s a bear-fox hybrid named Box (because that was the first name I thought of and I thought it was funny and kinda cute). I chose a bear-fox hybrid because I thought those two animals captured my personality pretty well, playful, mischievous, and kinda lazy lol.
My fursona is a platypus, so that's what I'd be in a furry world. I've always loved water, but also trails on land. I was also the "weird one" in high school, and not many people would chose a platypus. I have seen a few other platypus fursonas around, but it's a really unique creature that suits my creativity.

My friends and I started an art club at our school, back in December. We had a few people join and we all draw what we are interested in. My best friend draws her love story pictures, I draw mythical creatures and furries, my other friends draws things out of games like fnaf, another guy draws cars, and one draws war things. It is the best, but now we can't talk or draw together because of this stupid virus.

I would be my sona, a blue and white wolf. Wolves have a strong loyalty to their packs and can be silly or good leaders. Sometimes they can even go at things alone, but are happier and more successful in packs
A deer for sure! Quick, graceful, easy to find a food source, and I kinda feel like a meek and humble herbivore. I also love the HUGE ears and big doe eyes.

To the question at 9:45 I would like to say that I have Type one Diabetes as well and the best thing to do is before suiting to just make sure your blood glucose is at a higher point to be safe. I do this when ever I want to do something like running. However, a handler would be very wise to have with you. Also, always have your Dexcom (or what ever company your insurance company forces you to use) in reach on you from your fursuit. The worst thing is to not know your BG level while doing something physical. Btw, jelly beans aren’t as fabulous a treat while having a low blood sugar as smarties.

Actually, doing art commissions at a certain can get you a fursuit at 13, depending on how many people buy it and how much you price the commissions.
I would definitely go with a Harris hawk. Beautiful and majestic birds of prey. But, also used to have 3 of them as pets. They were strong, but gentle towards me and my brother's so it'll always be a soft spot for me

I have a question! I've got a Sona, however,, she's a dragon. I'd love to make a head for her, but since she's a dragon, i'm really worried on how the heck i would have the skin on the head. Im not saying its easy to fur a head, but sewing sheets of fur is much easier to do and hide seams. If by some god sent fabric, if there was a 'reptile skin' fabric, 1.) Wouldnt it be near impossible to fur (uh, skin?) A head with that kind of fabric as you would see every single seam, and 2.) Fursuit heads are hOT as it is, wouldn't a 'skin' like head be even hotter? I guess its just a little disheartening to think i can never make myself a head without resorting to a really shaved down fur like most other dragon suiters do. I'm curious as to what anyone else thinks about this.

I always find it interesting to hear that people would choose Canada over the US. Many people believe that the US is super unsafe, and while it is true that some parts are unsafe, there are also lots of unsafe places in Canada too. The problem is that Canada's population is so small (I think it's around 36 million now?) that any major events barely ever make international news haha. I have lived in Canada my whole life, but I'm dying to get down to the states! It's far too cold here for me, and I find that there are just so many more opportunities down in the US to make a good living. But that's just my opinion on things, hopefully soon I can live somewhere on the ocean where I won't freeze like an ice cube everyday!

What do think of the possibility of having water flixible cooling pipes In a fursuit, and especially head. How big is the back of the head because I can imagine a small water pump may fit, having a mesh of pipes or even just a few cooling pads that run constantly would be awesome, I don't know how you would vent the hot air though, would this be possible?
