      Seems a long time ago since I played and edited this one. I am in the middle of a Final Blitzkrieg H2H game at the moment and that will be my next AAR.

    Love how you can see the explosions around the battlefield from the top-down view.

      Hey mate, yep was good times. Looked at some of the TG vids I'd made the other day. I'm scratching my WW2 strategy itch at the moment but when I get back to ArmA again I'll let you know.

    They really cleaned this map up nicely from V 1

    Man oh man I wish they'd make a game that's up to current-gen graphical and performance specs. I really dig this style of game.

      Oh right yeah. I had to just double check myself there again that I hadn't made an error, but yes they were officially known as the A36 Apache but apparently were rarely called that.

    Apache's aren't converted, the P-51 was originally designed as a dive bomber. The A model still having the dive brakes installed when it was fielded in 42/43

    I forgot how large this map was.

    • @joseywales3848
      @joseywales3848  7 лет назад +3

      Yeah, not sure if its classed as large or huge but it was a 3 hour mission that took me a few months to play through.

      Very nice... It was a very well constructed battle and the map is gorgeous. Well played.

    Hey Josey! I love your videos! Found you only yesterday! If I can ask: what is your pc spec? The game runs so well as I see in your amazing videos! Keep up the special work! See ya mate

      Thanks Mark. I have an Intel i7-6700K CPU and 16GB RAM. It does slow down a bit on huge battles but its good for most.

    Does this game require you to move each unit one by one? If so, that's a micromanagement nightmare if I've ever seen one.

    • @joseywales3848
      @joseywales3848  5 лет назад +2

      You can select and move entire platoons and companies with one command. This is useful at the start of some larger battles but as the fight develops you will want to give individual units separate orders. Although you can play this game in real time, it is really designed to be a turn based game requiring a lot of thought, assessment and re-assessment.

      @@joseywales3848 Sounds like something I'd enjoy. I remember already being intrigued by Barbarossa to Berlin back in the day but never ended up trying it.

      I remember playing the Barbarossa to Berlin demo years ago, the series has been around for a long time. You can try out a demo for each game here; www.battlefront.com
      I can't recommend this game enough!
