Hi Pretthi, you got it wrong. Christianity was introduced to Goa by portuguese and not St Thomas who did it in Chennai.This church was built during the Portuguese rule. Portuguese were invited by the Hindus who were ruled by Muslims and they took over some part of Goa from Adil Shah of Bijapur from 1510 till 1961. The remaining parts like Bicholim,Valpoi,Pernem etc were added later on.

N the other side of my family from Ludhiana in Punjab. Visit Punjab n Delhi every year but not the families there as yet. My other families visited the Delhi families. They were delighted to see us n wanted us to come back to India but we have our own homes here

Amazing thing is how old people are preserved lot old collections really beautiful to see and intresting. in the year i visited Goa with my friends stayed five days i have seen only interior part of Goa only fantastic but now i am feeling and reliasing we missed Alodona. Nelson I fully agree with you and this is what we Goans are. She has projected us in a beautiful way and this is what Goa is. It is the wrong image that has been created in the movies that has brought a bad name for us through out India. Add the mixture of mad politicians at present and Goa will be finished.
