the unfortunate flipside is the woman who would leave her marriage instead of working on it because she knows she can take care of herself financially. Its easier to go to a job with other mem than live with a man and learn to be fully one with him. The temptation to leave a marriage when its hard is so much stronger when you can simply fall back on your own skill, and so many fall for that temptation.
