Did anybody else spot Molly from All Ears at the 3:08 mark? Also, thanks for this solid, no BS review! I wasn't all that intrigued to eat here before but I would genuinely get the same meal you did. And the fact that the AP discount applies makes the lunch $49.50 which honestly isn't bad at all for calamari, a steak and the experience.
I did! Not only that, but also I spotted her from behind/diagonally in the review vlog from Ordinary Adventures. The table being cleaned behind his table guests must either be in the process of being cleaned right after they left or right before they get seated. Too funny that they all got seated so close together!
The elevator was so neat. I can't wait for you to review the lounge. Especially for people who want to see the location but maybe not down for a prefix lunch/dinner.
I've seen a few different videos now, and my overall impression is that coming in and leaving is pretty awesome but the actual restaurant is just okay. I think I was expecting more of a "2001: A Space Odyssey"/retrofuturism look with more lights and colors and shiny chrome. The blue and gray color scheme doesn't do much for me, although I know that's kind of become the default look for sci fi movies these days.
I'm getting that same feeling. Also now that we live in the age of space x and how we will travel to space soon, the concept of having a "space elevator" to get to the "station" seems very dated. The themeing in here pales to what you experience in Be Our Guest. I'm gonna pass on this during my trip next month but thank you for your review as always Adrian.
@@Amazonagent I feel like it's gotten harder to predict what future tech will be like, because it moves so quickly now, which leaves this style feeling kind of generic. Im also surprised there's no sense of interactivity, like maybe like some fake buttons to push or whatever.
Yeah. The actual restaurant leaves me eh. Like the silverware/plate theming. If you are in space they do not need to give you utensils and plates that remind you of space because you’re actually in space. It tries to hard but fails on the easy stuff. Plus I hate that’s it’s a 3rd party place
hello, I enjoyed your video. I wish you were able to show the other people at your tables food to give everybody and an idea of what was different besides the flat steak.
Hey Mr Adrian! We actually saw you there yesterday for opening day, just couldn’t say hi due to the line! Me and my grandpa were there for a lunch date together! He actually got the same thing as you too, the flat iron steak! I also think it’s funny how we’re all collectively amazed by the skinny forks lol! They feel like my drawing pen! Anyways, hope you have an awesome week and hope to say hi to you again soon!
I mean I guess it would be nice to do it once but not obsessed. Window seating would be ideal. I hope they add on little personal touches like space proposals or even a space Mickey or whatever but I enjoyed the video. Now I’m hungry lol
Wonderful review! Can't wait to get to try this new restaurant out here in a few months! Thanks for mentioning the lounge part! I'm impressed that they have that in there. The whole restaurant just looks amazing.
Thank you for the honest review. The elevator & view of Earth was very cool. Like staring at the Discovery channel for an hour. Food looks good but the future has small forks and small portions. Guess that’s how we solve world hunger. I gotta be honest with you, this is an Instagram restaurant. It’s not a complete diss. It’s just a question of what you want. Personally Disney Springs has way better quality and quantity restaurants.
So you didn’t know the people you had to share a table with? After literally years of the opening being pushed out I was thinking there was going to be something mind blowing. It just looks blah, nothing seems to be worth the price.
I was there the day after the 50th and really enjoyed myself. I also had the flat iron steak and agree that it was good (better than the steak i had at Be Our Guest the day before) and the "space greens" were tasty too, featuring cranberries and roasted pears. Instead of dessert I had one of the 'planetary punch' alcoholic drinks, which was purple and bubbly. I liked it, but it might be a little too sweet for some people. As much as I liked the food and overall experience, even the lunch cost was a litle higher than what I would do consistently. If I was traveling with someone who had never been to Space 220 before on my next trip I would go again, but otherwise i will probably default to some other places in Epcot to save $ and try new things.
Another home run on dining review! Question about the coffee rub steak. Did the coffee rub add a great flavor to the meat? Did it make the flavor sweeter or more flavorful? It’s the food critic in me that’s so curious 😂
It really did add a lot. It was great without the sauce but was even better with it. I wouldn’t say it was “sweeter” but it’s hard to describe but it was very flavorful
I have been to Disney dozens of times (so far only in 3 countries), but have never paid that much for a meal at a park. I am obviously not their target demographic ha ha 😎
Most people are too young to know that the space elevator is straight out of '71's Journey to the Moon and then Mission to Mars. Yes in 50 years Disney's vision of going into space has not advanced one second.
@@shel217 There are rides that require vomit bags that have nothing to do with space. I don't consider that advancement. I want thrill rides that are exciting and exhilarating but don't need bags for expelling nourishment.
CAn anyone PLEASE provide us how on earth can we make a reservation for this? I try updating the app at 12 AM (pacific time) and everytime I got in an error message pops up that there is no connectivity. Is Disney purposely not allowing regular people make reservation and only allowing certain "people" to have access to reservation? Do I smell an upcoming lawsuit coming up?
I can’t wait to try this restaurant! I noticed you mentioned ‘table mates’ does that mean you were just seated with random strangers?? Is that going to be normal practice in the future do you think?
After standing in line for a little over 3 hours I made some friends in line and we all decided to sit together. So we weren’t seated with “random strangers” just some cool people I met in line and we all decided to share a table
@@ThemeParkExpress ahhh that’s fine then! Me and my anxiety panicked a little bit 🙈 i remember having a minor internal meltdown when we went to Biergarten and didn’t realise they sat you with other’s. I know it sounds pathetic… but I’ve had an ED for years and eating in front of people I don’t know is scary for me.
The restaurant, elevator specially looks awesome Wanted to know about the lounge, is that the bar area? I tried getting a reservation for next month on a Monday, nothing. So would like to at least be able able to walk in have a good drink, maybe an appetizer and at least be able to ☑ out the place, so is the lounge a seperate area? If so, would also like to go to the bar, so it's that also possible without a reservation, let me know, going to be at epcot only one day and incl it in my plans
The lounge is part of the actual restaurant. 25% of the venue is considered “lounge space” no reservation is needed and you get the same experience as everyone else. There’s the bar and lots of smaller tables.
Maybe it's just me, or maybe it didn't translate well onscreen, but this doesn't feel very "Disney." There doesn't seem to be anything uber-innovative or imaginative about the restaurant or menu, which is disappointing because Epcot traditionally excels in both of these areas. The dessert plating felt like the most unique thing. 🤔
Reservations opened yesterday? I tried to book for October 12 but it said full, even went further out and nothing, made me think if it was even open for reservations
They opened at 6am est and were completely gone 60 days out in 15 minutes. I'm also going next month and tried to make reservations but my app glitched out because the whole system crashed.
@@ericsantoyo7455 just did a quick search and the tables are smaller and it's first come first serve. You also can order off a different menu or the lunch or dinner menu. Hopefully they'll implement a virtual queue for the lounge like they have for the restaurant.

Is it just me or does it look like 10 forward on the starship enterprise?
I was going to try to get reservations but the $80 price tag really made up my mind not to do it.
It reminds me of Mars 2112 in NYC.
Thats EXACTLY what it is. But mars had cool aliens walking around.
I spy Molly and Quincy from All Ears. The lip on the plates killed me lol.

I’m guessing the restaurant is in the same building as the elevator, and the elevator sequence is part of the magic sort of like Haunted Mansion?

Is that an actual elevator to space? It's not like a hologram or something, right?
The calamari plate looked like a mickey head! Lemon was the nose, sauces the ears.

San Angel Inn at Mexico is the best restaurant at EPCOT

So does the elevator feels like you moving
The floor vibrates.
Might as well just book a stay at the Starcruiser.

So relevant with all the billionaires going to space.
Nice.
Dang I hate my internet… I couldn’t even be number 1 to comment smh!
Oh wait!!! I am the first lol
The elevator ruins it for me. The images / video make it hard to suspend disbelief.
The camera doesn’t do it justice. That’s why I say it needs to be experienced at least once
Wait a minute it's all fake , it's inside that tennis ball looking building?
Way over priced.
