      Do it have much of real world use ? Depends.
      Personally i would use it with first time shooters to get bit familiar with
      weapon while actually making hits to intended target whitout being
      frustrated to poor results.
      Maybe in some cases you could compete in carbine class with that installed.
      But in all seriousnes if that thing would be bit cheaper i definelty would
      consister to get it for fun if nothing else.

      @Valiforni if i remember in some countries in Europe youre only allowed to have a certain amount of semi-autos. This is for those consumers so they don't have to buy another gun just so they can have a PCC. TFB reviewed a crazy glock kit that just replaced the whole slide assembly and it is for that same niche

      @@kressnt3984 In Germany, all PCCs are considered long guns and have a magazine limit of only 10 rounds. A pistol in a chassis can have 20 round magazines --> more fun!
      What you said is also true, you have to be a bit stingy with the entries in your gun permit, because after a certain amount of guns the administration can demand proof that you actually shoot at least 50% of your guns in matches on a regular basis (because that's your legal basis to own guns: you want to shoot sports matches).
      Add to all this that a pistol chassis, even an expensive one, is usually half the price of a PCC in Germany, and you got yourself a winning concept!

    • @SymonSR20
      @SymonSR20 3 месяца назад

      @@kressnt3984 I don't know about other countries but here in Slovenia we don't have regulations about numbers of firearms. But I do have even cheaper system Recover Tactical 20/20 and I can say that it's fun system. With red dot it's so much easier to shoot that it's like cheating. And yeah from what I know you can compete in PCC class in some cases/competitions. I would call my 20/20 "poor mans' PCC" and that's not a bad thing. Odin 2 is not that cheap but the fact that you can use it on all picatinny equiped pistols is kinda worth it.

      At this price, it's primarily interesting in the German market where normal pccs are considered long guns and therefore limited to 10-round magazines (20 for a pistol). Also prices are higher here and any pcc will cost you at least 1200 Euros. Additionally, you don't want to waste space on your gun permit because you can't get unlimited amounts of semi-autos until the administration will start harassing you with demands like proof of regular shooting matches for 50% of your guns and stuff like that.

I would have thought they would make it more competitive in pricing with the other pistol chassis’s on the market. Side note my experience with things like the Gen1 & Gen2 MCK RONI’s have been gimmicks that I can’t get to zero as the gun moves to much when inserted into the chassis. Anyone else experience this. Side note I used both a Vortex Sparc & Sig Romeo 5 & couldn’t zero either of them.

    Only thing they really need for this to beat the MCK is a quick attach and detach method.
    MCK's biggest selling point is that you can have your pistol on you as CCW, and if shit hits the fan, but you have some time to react (eg active shooter in diff part of building or across a large parking lot shooting at other people), you could ostensibly pull the MCK out of your car or office cabinet, and turn you ccw pistol into a carbine in less than 10 seconds.

      (In Germany it is the reason, why there are actually no Glocks in Police Service, since federal law says Police Guns need to be carried DECOCKED or fully EXTERNAL saved (blocked firing pin.....but a Glock is ALWAYS semi cocked when racked)
      But this is not important for the ODIN 2 device....the security of it has the standard of the gun in use...not more not less...it simply works.

But a long gun/PCC chassis like this needs an external safety if I'm going to buy it for myself or anyone I know. @@stoptrackingourdata8158 Eh, the chassis would probably not be an NFA item, but the AFT loves constructive intent, so if you had one of these and any handgun it would fit I could see charges for each one.
      And I have no faith that the jury would not convict for violating an unconstitutional law.

    in the US, would you have to register (sbr?) each pistol you intend to house in the stock? if you had, for example 5 pistols you wanted to rotate into 1 stock.

      If you're a real American, you do whatever you want without asking permission from the government. The chassis doesn't require an FFL, so order one and then just don't snitch on yourself when you put whatever pistol you want in it.

  • @ericmitchell985
    @ericmitchell985 Год назад +2

    Don't get me wrong, I love things like this, but these stock/brace kits don't turn handguns into PCCs, they turn handguns into more shootable handguns. Most handguns are going to be using a browning action, or some other moving barrel design, which isn't great for accuracy, compared to a fixed barrel on most PCCs. This one is interesting to me because you could mount some fixed barrels into this chassis, and have a more accurate base. If someone out there wants to light a pile of cash on fire, I'd love to see what a laugo alien would do in one of these.
    Also, this guy gave one of the best pitches I've seen at one of these shows.
