    You can use a PNP germanium transistor for the left channel meter: just connect it reversed. Been there ..

    volg het met spanning..kan niet wachten op het vervolg.
    Heb in m,n rommelkamer een set met grote philips boxen staan uit het zelfde jaartal en de 720 die dezelfde versterker heeft,
    Het is me opgevallen dat ik daar vaker naar luister dan m,n buizen eindversterker en klipsch boxen en een audio research voorversterker.
    Heel vreemd.😁

      Dankjewel! Ja, hij klinkt voorlopig erg goed.
      Je gaat wel nog eventjes geduld moeten hebben want mijn vervangingsonderdelen zijn nog niet geleverd. :-)

    Yes, replacing with BC549/BC550 would probably be "Best practice" as they are "Low noise" transistors.
    But On-semi's datasheet for these transistors only list them as being 0.8 to a few dB lower in noise than the regular BC547/548 s.
    But you could be (and probably will be) lucky, as the old transistors might be more noisy than the new ones.

      Indeed. The main difference is in the maximum noise figure (4dB vs 10dB), but I doubt these original lockfit BC148s will still meet that spec.

    How and in which video did you clean the contour switch?

      I honestly can't remember. I don't think I filmed it because I don't always film all basic operations like cleaning switches. I probably just used my standard procedure which consists of Kontakt 60, WL and 61.
