I disagree with with Liveman, Bioman, Toqger, Zyuogher and especially Ninninger. I think the Gingaman ones are ok. I agree the the gloves are awful the rest of it doesn't bother me. How are you guys just realizing the visors are their mouths? That is literally the thing in every sentai that is remotely animal based. Even Go busters, where the visors are specifically sunglasses, isn't immune to this.
Battle Fever J's has so many problems, but the main one is this: inconsistency. Out of all the other suits on this list, their aesthetics are the most disjointed and uncoordinated out of everyone. Color schemes, helmet designs, suit segments, placement of signs and symbols, ALL OF THEM are a mess. The only ones that even try to match each other are Japan and France and even they still fail. Also, god dammit Marcus that jump scare actually HURT. As for suits that I wish were on this list: Ohranger and Kyoryuger. Ohranger's are okay except for the helmet which just looks god damn awkward with just the shape of the lips and the visor shape making any detail on the helmets. Kyoryuger though. Kyoryuger's suits look like an elementary schooler attempted to design a Sentai. The main offenders are the helmets, the chests and the left shoulders. The helmets look way too basic and the teeth on the helmets look almost like scribbles, the atrocious team symbol they have (which has the same problem as the helmet teeth) just glares at you with a crappy shoulder pad...just...hideous.

The theme of countries does not provide an excuse for the visor eyes, the inconsistency in how the helmets are made, the dumbass wig of America, the color schemes not matching (Japan and France both have a white base suit, yet Cossack is entirely orange), the legs on America - all of it. If you want to have a theme of countries and their symbols, fine, but make those appearances matching of each other in some capacity. To compare, you don't see animal Sentai that have a wide variety of different creatures not match so hard. What's Battle Fever's excuse?

Honestly, the Gingaman/Lost Galaxy ones are some of MY favorite suits, but yes the fact that they have double eyes and double mouths and the weird plafement of the belt are odd choices
Am agree with the Zyuohger, Ninninger & Toqger suits. Those are really Ugly suits. I hate Toqger suits, and the moment that you mention were they lost there numbers, the visors, & the belts, THAT WAS AWFUL & STUPID.
So, it's been 20 years since Lost Galaxy and 21 years since Gingaman, I honestly have to admit their suits are the most underwhelming Ranger suits in all of Sentai and Power Rangers. This aesthetic is why both series are severely underrated in both franchises and seeing these suits do weigh both series down. Helmets are fine. I like the helmets. Luckily, I have been sketching redesigns on how Gingaman/Lost Galaxy's suits could be redone today. The Charlie Brown thing is why no one in the Ranger fandom wants to do cosplay of them if they did they'll say "That's a Charlie Brown Ranger! Hahahaha."
This applies to the mechs as well but I’ve noticed that a lot of these bad suits only look really bad at a standstill. They look a bit better in motion.
I can't be the only one who didn't mind the Ninninger or Zyuohger suits. I'll admit with the Zyuohger suits, they could've done a lot more, but I honestly liked them. Like, instead of pasting the animal on their torso, do something similar to what Gaoranger did with their suits (The same torso design with a few changes, and then a black line on the girl's skirts to show where it ends), and I honestly would've loved that. And as for the Ninninger suits, the white boots didn't bother me either. It's like how I feel about the chrome shoulder pads on the Boukenger suits (which also don't bother me): I don't really notice it, until I actually look at that part of the suit, and that is rare.
The suits are good though. Hearing their logic I assume the Ohranger suits would end up on here in 10 if it wasn’t for the shoulder collar design. And Go-Onger I feel has some of the best suits in Sentai myself. Haven’t watched either it or RPM, but the suits look amazing.
I’ve seen a lot of videos bringing up the Charlie Brown design on the Ginga/Galaxy suits. While the inspiration would make some sense if the suits were originally American, what does Japan know about Charlie Brown?
No one is saying they are literally copying Charlie Brown. Its almost certainly a coincidence, because as they even say in the video, its supposed to be a bite/chop imagery.

when a suit fits the motif you judge it on how it fits its motif. one would notice that outside of Battle Fever they judged them on how they fit the motif including the elements used. Battle Fever is a different ballgame with the only real constant elements being the use of eyes and crest as the rest is all over the place.
i love them too and I think the Liveman suits are some of the best of all time second only to Dairanger and maybe Abaranger. I have no idea what these guys are smoking

Not even a blank canvas of their colors, complete white, even their sidearms turn white and the details. I now wonder what happened if there was a White Turbo.
It is so cathartic to know that one other person didn't like the white boots on the Ninninger suits. It is amazing how close they were to perfect...if not for the GODDAMN BOOTS! No one looked at Shiro nin's outfit and thought maybe the others boots should match too??
dynaman was mainly because they changed the motif from baseball to explosion. if they kept the original baseball motif it would have been left off. denjiman is mainly the huge strip ranking on the chest. i never really caught the strip ranking sash on the Gaoranger suits without them bringing it up. if denjiman and goranger were say on the gloves it would work better.

i can think of 6 different helmet designs that use animal mouths as the visors. (im using ranger names because i can think of the sentai names) Mighty Morphin, Wild Force, Dino Thunder, RPM, Dino Charge, and of course Lost Galaxy.
This is *my* list for the top 5 worst Super Sentai/Power Rangers suits: 5. Gingaman (Lost Galaxy) - The suits have too much of the Charlie Brown look to it due to the jagged black line on the white shirts distracting the rest of the main colors and the helmets that are trying to look like the designs of Zyuranger and Ohranger crammed together into that design have too much of the cheeks covered up for the lip molds. Yellow and Blue especially have WAY too much of the silver districting the rest of the main colors. 4. Jyououger - For the 40th anniversary series, the suits, compared to the Railroad Train themed Tokyuger, look WAY TOO plain because they have NOTHING more than the Animal faces on the front, at least the helmets are an interesting design. The zords, if I have to continue the criticism, look way too Minecraft due to the cubic designs. 3. Battle Fever J - This design for the entire suits look WAY too much like life-sized dolls. The sculptured faces trying to be helmets like all the rest says too much of the boot legged ranger toy-like quality. 2. Denziman - They all look like 7-year-old little boys trying to be dressed up like sentais, because the fact that they all have stripes and nothing more than the wires on their foreheads and the lip molds looking too much like a frown makes the poorly designed look for the electronic theme of the series. 1. GOGGLE V (or should I say "GOOGOO V") - For the Rhythmic Gymnastic theme for the series, this set of costumes has the BABY BIBS making me imagine them wearing footed jammies, and on top of that, I'm SO dead serious, the helmets look WAY too bulky, WAY too martian with the mouth molds pieces and no nose, and the chrome all around has the warrior design that does NOT match at all.
I actually really like Gingaman and can't believe they're so high. I would've replaced it with Gekiranger. I've always hated those suits, and especially white ranger's giant morpher weapon (Stupid piece of giant plastic). The suits look like jumpsuit pajamas that bicyclists would wear. The rest of the list is on point. The older suits are just really terrible in general due to budget most likely.
It's interesting to see what other people like and don't like. Like Bioman is on your worst list while it's number 3 on my favorite sentai suits XD Zyougher, Gogglefive, and Toquger I completely agree with, but the rest aren't actually that bad imo. The worst sentai suits for me are the Changeman suits. Their color schemes are so inconsistent between the boys and girls. White is the worst looking one. Like she sticks out like a sore thumb, it's so bad. I hate the gold emblems on the backs of their hands. And the worst part is the chest. The white makes it look like they're wearing training bras or crop tops. The changeman suits are such a mess.
I actually quite like Dynaman's, Turboranger's and especially Liveman's suits. They're definitely not as bad as most other Showa suits and Liveman's kinda feels like a prototype of Jetman's suits. Yeah, Dynaman definitely still has a baseball aesthetic, but I think they look nice so I don't care. I don't think Turboranger's is especially great, but it's not that bad either. I don't really like the badges though, but besides that there's nothing really offensive about it. Although I hated how the two halves of the helmets were always misaligned in-show, so it looks like it's falling apart, especially the first time you see them and yellow's helmet is just so badly put together and it stands out so much. Now, I definitely think bioman should be higher on the list. Red one's suit reminds me of Ronald McDonald, and I absolutely hate the helmets. The visors are too low, it looks like it's on their nose instead of their eyes, they wouldn't be able to see shit.
I think the bioman have a genuine 80s charm and I actually think the zyuohger suits are legitimately cool(except the zyuoh gorilla suit I can admit that one looks really dumb, good thing the badass zyuoh whale form makes up for it) But I do hate the goggle v baby bib suits with a passion and gingaman is imo the boring season not helped by ugly ass suits (that goes double for the mecha)
Honestly i don't mind the helmets that have lips. I think they're ok. Helmets i can't stand are the ones that don't have any kind of mouth piece(I'm looking at you magiranger, how do you breath in those things)
One thing that probably helped you figure out that Gaoranger was doing the mouth-visor imagery was the animal closing the jaw into the visor position. Whereas with Gingaman and Zyuranger the helmet just appears as is. This is also something Abaranger and Kyouryuuger did right - though with Kyouryuuger it became most evident when King was Overcharged.

I honestly disliked the train based motif.

Gingaman (Lost Galaxy) - The suits have too much of the Charlie Brown look to it due to the jagged black line on the white shirts distracting the rest of the main colors and the helmets that are trying to look like the designs of Zyuranger and Ohranger crammed together into that design have too much of the cheeks covered up for the lip molds. Yellow and Blue especially have WAY too much of the silver districting the rest of the main colors.
4. Jyououger - For the 40th anniversary series, the suits, compared to the Railroad Train themed Tokyuger, look WAY TOO plain because they have NOTHING more than the Animal faces on the front, at least the helmets are an interesting design. The zords, if I have to continue the criticism, look way too Minecraft due to the cubic designs.
3. Battle Fever J - This design for the entire suits look WAY too much like life-sized dolls. The sculptured faces trying to be helmets like all the rest says too much of the boot legged ranger toy-like quality.
2. Denziman - They all look like 7-year-old little boys trying to be dressed up like sentais, because the fact that they all have stripes and nothing more than the wires on their foreheads and the lip molds looking too much like a frown makes the poorly designed look for the electronic theme of the series.
1. GOGGLE V (or should I say "GOOGOO V") - For the Rhythmic Gymnastic theme for the series, this set of costumes has the BABY BIBS making me imagine them wearing footed jammies, and on top of that, I'm SO dead serious, the helmets look WAY too bulky, WAY too martian with the mouth molds pieces and no nose, and the chrome all around has the warrior design that does NOT match at all.
I actually really like Gingaman and can't believe they're so high. I would've replaced it with Gekiranger. I've always hated those suits, and especially white ranger's giant morpher weapon (Stupid piece of giant plastic). The suits look like jumpsuit pajamas that bicyclists would wear. The rest of the list is on point. The older suits are just really terrible in general due to budget most likely.
gingaman does NOT belong on the same list as every other suit you listed. I wouldn't mind if they were #10, but #2??? screw you guys, i'm going home.

Zyougher, Gogglefive, and Toquger I completely agree with, but the rest aren't actually that bad imo.
The worst sentai suits for me are the Changeman suits. Their color schemes are so inconsistent between the boys and girls. White is the worst looking one. Like she sticks out like a sore thumb, it's so bad. I hate the gold emblems on the backs of their hands. And the worst part is the chest. The white makes it look like they're wearing training bras or crop tops.
The changeman suits are such a mess.
I actually quite like Dynaman's, Turboranger's and especially Liveman's suits. They're definitely not as bad as most other Showa suits and Liveman's kinda feels like a prototype of Jetman's suits. Yeah, Dynaman definitely still has a baseball aesthetic, but I think they look nice so I don't care. I don't think Turboranger's is especially great, but it's not that bad either. I don't really like the badges though, but besides that there's nothing really offensive about it. Although I hated how the two halves of the helmets were always misaligned in-show, so it looks like it's falling apart, especially the first time you see them and yellow's helmet is just so badly put together and it stands out so much.
Now, I definitely think bioman should be higher on the list. Red one's suit reminds me of Ronald McDonald, and I absolutely hate the helmets. The visors are too low, it looks like it's on their nose instead of their eyes, they wouldn't be able to see shit.

I think the bioman have a genuine 80s charm and I actually think the zyuohger suits are legitimately cool(except the zyuoh gorilla suit I can admit that one looks really dumb, good thing the badass zyuoh whale form makes up for it)
But I do hate the goggle v baby bib suits with a passion and gingaman is imo the boring season not helped by ugly ass suits (that goes double for the mecha)
Denziman should be #2. Those things are awful looking. The Liveman and Turboranger suits look amazing is comparison.
Honestly i don't mind the helmets that have lips. I think they're ok. Helmets i can't stand are the ones that don't have any kind of mouth piece(I'm looking at you magiranger, how do you breath in those things)
One thing that probably helped you figure out that Gaoranger was doing the mouth-visor imagery was the animal closing the jaw into the visor position. Whereas with Gingaman and Zyuranger the helmet just appears as is. This is also something Abaranger and Kyouryuuger did right - though with Kyouryuuger it became most evident when King was Overcharged.
