She's not signing this as Elphaba, but as Maya. I think she gives it a personal touch. No it's not bombastic, but she sings it from the heart nonetheless.

The song was part of her awesome solo program "Maya goes Solo", so she doesn't sing it as Elphaba, she sings it as Maya, sie gives it a new interpretation fitting for herself.
This is Maya Hakvoort, a Dutch musical actor who has been very succesfull in Austria. She played Elisabeth in the Austrian musical "Elisabeth", for example. This video was recorded at one of her solo concerts, that's probably why she doesn't give enough.

Ich finde sie klasse Als ich mir damals die dvd vn Eli gekauft hab dachte ich sie kann Pia nicht schlagen und hat in dem Musical nichts zu suchen und dan hab ich sie mir angehört und fand sie super meine Lieblingsmusicaldarstellerin

Mayas Interpretation ist unabhängig von der Rolle der Elphaba, das Lied war Teil ihres ersten Soloprogramms. Sie singt es als Maya und nicht als Elphaba, sie interpretiert es für sich neu.
I just saw Wicked and I much prefer the girl I saw over Idina. I like Idina, but whoever I saw had a much fuller voice and didn't strain on the high notes.
i don't think most of this was belted in her chest voice; it's mostly mixed or head voice. Entirely appropriate for the piano, I think, but this'll never pass for the actual musical on broadway.
I don't very much like her voice, it seems like she's speaking the lyrics not really singing it. She looks passionate though, but her voice doesn't seem to convey it.
Also erstens: Sie interpretiert das Stück ganz anders, es ist außerdem KEINE Musicalfassung, es ist jediglich ein Auszug! Zweitens: Raussschmettern mit der Bruststimme *kopf schüttel* oder auch "belting" genannt. Nein, das muss man so nich machen. Es ist keine Orginaltonart und etwas höher von der transposition. Also...machs halt fei besser und halt mal schön die klappe!

she sings it without playing with her voice like she is still reading the notes, but well done
I just really wish she'd do the original lyrics, it may have sounded better with her voice. But other than that, she's great.
