I love your handle -- The Potty Mouth Stitcher. My husband says that he helped to install a filter from my mouth to my brain. I have to admit that it doesn't always work. Thank you for inspiring those who are thinking of starting a floss tube and the encouragement to just do it! I have never stitched on linen. I usually stick to 14, 16 and 18 ct. I am not sure my eyes can do anything smaller! Oh, and I am technically challenged also. Hopefully my daughters can help me with that part of it. Thanks for a great floss tube!

So tonight as I was stitching my Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow….I watched # 19 again…then had to start at #1 to begin my binge watch….I have MANY of the same charts to stitch!! I started out with Holly Hobby so that is at least 50 years ago. I do aida also and I still do aida. After all these years I never got into Linen. Love your WIP's on Linen. Tiny Modernist is my favorite artist right now so I would start that one. I just noticed that this video is from last year so I guess my vote will not count lol. Happy Stitching.

i really enjoyed your floss tube . i really like it because you are very far from me . i live about an hour and a half away from you. its nice to see someone that enjoys stitching like i do . i also have a potty mouth when the time calls for it and it happens alot lol .

The stitching behind you is a Paula Vaughan. It was a Leisure Arts Leaflet Printed in 1990 called Cherished Moments. The only reason I knew that is because I just purchased it last weekend at a flea market for 50 cents and fell in love with how pretty it was. Now that I have seen it I want to start stitching on it even more. I was quite surprised when I spotted it behind you.

I don’t start too many at one time or it gets me anxious. Love stitching what I like when I want and WIPCO goals move me right along with progress on my WIPS. I’m a retired RN and know what 12 hour shifts were like and what they take out of you. Truly loved my job. You have great taste in charts.

A potty mouth is a sign of a larger vocabulary which is a sign of intelligence! I still have my Precious Moments books from the early 90’s. I was 19 in ‘93 and visited the US and my friend took me to Carthage. Brings back sweet memories.

Thank you so much for the wonderful comments! The sampler was from The Historical Sampler Company called "Wedding Pot Cross Stitch" on their website. Be careful when you check them out, they have so many gorgeous samplers to choose from! I was always intimidated by the higher counts too, but I really enjoyed only needing 1 strand of floss (cheaper in the long run) and those tiny stitches look so amazing. Probably bc I'm too blind to see any flaws from a normal viewing distance! Ha! Give it a try, you may love it! Thank you for watching!

Welcome to flosstube. I live back in Wisconsin now. But I spent many years of my life in Staunton. My dad is originally from there and when he retired from the Navy that’s where he settled down. Met my ex husband there as well. Anyway I’ve lived in Staunton several times over the last 25 years. But what I’m trying to say is my LNS every time I’ve lived there has been the Cross Stitch Station in Waynesboro. Absolutely love her little shop. I’m techtarded too, lol! I really enjoyed your first video and can’t wait for the next.

I really enjoyed your flosstube, can't believe it was your first one! You seemed like a seasoned pro! I also did a few of those precious moments patterns back in the 80's. Your stitching looks beautiful. Start all the WIPs you want to. I figure if I already have the pattern and some fabric to put something on, if I want to start it, I might as well. It's no different than if it is sitting in the drawer waiting or in a bag waiting for me to work on it! Whatever makes you happy! Great video. Lots of wonderful projects. Love the By The Sea by JD. It is in my stash, but since I mainly stitch on 16ct Aida, I have been a little reluctant to start it. I will use 28ct and I have used it before, but prefer 16ct. So, we’ll see. I think you should start what you want when you want. I Don’t count my stitches or hours spent stitching or any kind of rotation. But if you really want a suggestion, that Edgar Allen Poe piece called to me. I have not seen that one before. And the fabric for it is awesome! Happy Stitching!

By the Sea has actually been alot of fun with all the specialty stitches but I can't imagine doing it on aida. I've already run into 3 area that have over one sections and/or half stitches. Great first flosstube! I enjoyed seeing all your finishes - beautiful. Many of your pieces also reside in my stash. Start whatever is calling to you the loudest, and start as many as you want without feeling overwhelmed. I tend to work on only a few pieces at a time so I can really see my progress. I have about 10 projects I work on. I have 3 I have monthly goals for (grandmas house, 100 owls, and I forget which other). I keep one patriotic piece going all the time, just finished a Betsy Ross Sampler. I am working slowly on the flag with the states written on the stripes, but I don’t like the white on my fabric so I’m pissed at it. And I have a Halloween piece going at all times. Throw in new babies and weddings. I don’t make hard rules, cause I stitch what I’m obsessed with that week.

It's been an easy stitch so far. I love the flag pattern you're working on. Another person here commented on my dislike of stitching alot of white. They suggested using Anchor floss, so I will definitely try that! Sounds like you're a busy stitcher! So glad you found my channel, thank you so much for watching!

Great flosstube! Love your projects and attitude. I’m a monogamous stitcher, the idea of wipgo sounds too much like what I retired from lol. I stitch when I feel like it and don’t when I don’t, kinda my whole retirement philosophy. Definitely subscribed and looking forward to updates.

Your stitching is beautiful! I understand the concept of having multiple projects. I like to finish what I started and usually when things start looking like the pattern that is enough motivation for me. If you must start something new I would start one of your patriotic charts. Hey. Loved the video. I’m about 3 hours south of you, so I’d love to hear what stitchy stores you have near you. I’m a correctional officer who also works 12 hour shifts so 1) potty mouth by nature and 2) understand about stitching around that kind of schedule lol. Pick what ever and how many ever you want to start. Do what makes you happy. I’m still in monogamous mode, but have a ton of stuff I want to start.

Southern Past Times in Troutville, near Roanoke is a cute little shop with decor and a fair amount of cross stitch goodies. There's a quilt store Sew Biz in Radford, Va that has cross stitch goodies now too. And Cross Stitch Station in Waynesboro, VA, near Staunton. She's got a wonderful little shop too! I know these are the closest to me, but I would bet there's some closer to you. Let me know what you find, I'm game for a road trip!

@@pottymouthstitcher any tips? Just pulled out spring and read through and YIKES! I guess I need to get some fabric. Is there a reason you chose 36ct rather than called for 32ct? Then I am going to separate the strands of the thread packs. Any tips?
@kerierbe3699 I wanted to use just 1 strand of floss. So far the coverage looks good! But that's the main reason. I'm glad you got it out!! Impromptu SAL!
