The clone trooper 501st army is holding a fortress walls defense vs a massive battle droid army planetary invasion force. This was made using the Men of War assault squad 2 star wars galaxy at war mod battle simulator.

I have a lot of respect for the maps now. Didn’t realise how long it can take to set them up
Realistically speaking, Rex would probably gather some of his best troops to launch a devastating surprise counter offensive by out flanking or pincering the Droids.
Or at least be at the very front to oversee the defense personally himself.

I would say the bazooka shot just temporarily knocking the clone trooper unconscious, just shows the clone armor actually working. I have no problem with the clone trooper being able to recover from at least one bazooka shot, especially if they're occupying a hardened position like an armored gun emplacement.

Clone armour isn't nearly as good as that. If it was an Arc trooper with reinforced armour like rex, then yes by default they should, but a reg? nope. Clone trooper armour was more expensive than good, stormtrooper armour outclassed it in every way possible to making it better. The one thing that clone armour was better at was dealing with blunt force attacks. Hit a stormtrooper with a baseball bat? Unconscious. Clones? stagger movement and momentary trauma. But a bazooka has shrapnel. Stormtrooper armour is great against shrapnel, if you are using a shotgun badly they will probably survive, but clones wouldn't because their armour worsens survival chances of shrapnel

I really think you should re-man/droid turrets and tanks that get gunners shot off, it shouldn't count as interference since logically the troops would do it themselves if the AI could.
Exactly, we have seen droids do this in the clone wars, and they have even targeted individual turrets as shown in the Onderon arc where a droid commander uses his E5 to snipe a turret up in a vantage point when he saw his brothers dying, talk about care for your men and accuracy.

I like your videos, but I think this one highlights why the droids almost always lose. They get a lot of weak tanks and vehicles which would be helpful but the enemy gets soo many rocket launchers to the point that they don't even stand a chance. Plus, if they do survive the launchers and get into the fortress their vehicles are pretty much useless and they end up losing. I think that the droids should get more B 1s and less vehicles/B 2s and the clones should get less rockets and more vehicles. Because the rockets are just too useful on troops and tanks

Exactly, rocket troops can survive long enough to kill all the vehicles, it’s lot like the clones get trampled so fast they need 15 rocket launchers just in case some die

I'd REALLY like to see one of the defenses for the droids fighting the clones, see the clankers stacked against a force of clones would be a nice change and you could really test the limits of the droids for their canon intent (palpy boi was using the clankers to take and hold world's to force the republic into giving him more power)
Not really, and even if it were the case it is a gross oversimplification. Palpatine used the droids to lose. He had their inhibition stuff limit their combat effectiveness and lower IQ and EQ levels, which definitely worked, but not as well as he had hoped for, they still performed with a 37% kill rate, which is decent when you consider the aforementioned issues as well as the tactics of units like the 501st and the fact that the Jedi were blaster sponges.

Well, the clones are more armed and more well developed. Plus the droids have had so many AATs while the clones have only 2 ATTEs. It just shows how the clones are better

Hey Daley was wondering if the men of war tripod invasions could become a series I feel like it could have so many different opponents since in the movie it was world wide and possible have some of the tripods weakened like no shields since they started to die off from earths germs

This felt like a true Clone Wars battle. The clones holding a position while the droids outnumber them but they still come out on top.
You should do infantry only battle or ambush,its been a while since we got infantry main battle

I’ve by no means watched all of your videos but the ones I have seen always seem to be clones defending, droids attacking, if I’ve missed any that aren’t by all means point that out to me but wouldn’t mind seeing the reverse if possible.
Having seen how bad both droids and clones are accuracy wise......thats gonna be a very long shoot out.....

I've rewatched this a couple of times now. This is one of my favorite battles. The rocket troopers were the real MVPs of the battle.

I don't really get the people saying this fight is stacked in favor of the clone troopers. Like... the ones chilling behind sand bags and taking the brunt of the droid armored push might as well not be there. Sandbag fortifications are just... so inadequate for everything except infantry versus infantry. Even the wall defenses aren't *super* amazing, since Rex isn't redeploying his troops to whatever part of the wall is being hammered hardest. Why are there clones just sitting inside the base, instead of staying flexible and actively reinforcing the wall when they take casualties? Humans have understood how to defend walls since the middle ages, yeah?
