Putting your backpack on the ground will spread your scent from it on the ground and from you in the air. Minimize your scent to just one location.. and better to be up high than down low.
Walking in just at light is what I do. You can see better, know if you spook something and pick better trees. They are crossing thru the saddle and sit to either side but not in the center of it. You're doing good! I've killed more deer 1.5hrs after sunrise than at first light by far... about the time your ready to quit, sit another 30 minutes.

im glad you seem to watch my videos consistently to the end! However many people don't have long attention spans and especially first time viewers I wanted to give them an incentive to stick around. Trying new editing techniques is how you get better, some work, some don't. It's all about learning what works best my friend 🙃
