If the allies had invaded when they planned, two months later, half the Japanese population would have already starved to death. As it was, even with a massive effort to import food on an emergency basis, many Japanese still starved to death.
TBF, that's a balancing feature since back before WG went hybrid wild they actually tried to balance the difference between the strike squadron vs Fuso's extra turrets. Of course when you're in a triple coordinating div like this it's Chernobyl radioactive.

Brings back memories of the old world of tanks triple F panzer division before the nerfs. My friends and I used to roll across the field on Camponovka, take 100s of hits without damage, and steam roll the poor tier 3s. I miss those days
This is like having 3 Panzer II Ausf. J's on one team in World of Tanks, back when there were very few tanks that could actually pennetrate a Panzer II J's thick front and side armor.
Jingles the Ise was its own class of dreadnaught battleship where only 2 of which were built and Ise was modified into its hybrid state in 1942 after Battle of Midway, she survived the war as well
the Ijn Ise is not actually a Fuso class, though it does resemble it a lot it is it's own class of battleship built after. it is one of two in the Ise class along with the Ijn Hyuga
I saw the division and started laughing manically. 😂😂😂 06:00 How odd you ask - I watched some of your old videos on the weekend for nostalgia and one of the "Triple Lyon, 48 gun salute" videos was one of them. It was just hilarious, btw. 😂
Gotta love the idea of sticking a flight deck - famously extremely fragile targets filled with explosive fuel and more explosive munitions - on the back of a ship that specifically has central turrets which it must turn side-on to use, so it can't even hide some of the flight deck behind the bulk of the ship and be fully effective. Of course, no reason to expect WoWS to actually simulate the idea of replacing a third of your ship with what amounts to an armed bomb.
Dear @The Mighty Jingles I haven't been particularly joyful this past week. Society takes a toll and I've been unable to find games to play. I knew the remedy. Your jolly Jingles laugh at the irony and scenario has raised my spirits immensely. Cheers Leading Seaman Jingles. I'll boil the kettle and pour a cuppa and dof the cap in your direction.
Jingles can't help but laugh so hard from such concentrated barrages like what we've just seen. This is, without a doubt, totally disgusting. Jingles, you took the words right out of my mouth when you started talking about the old triple Lyon divisions.
At 12:19...Nope, that West Virginia '44 is actually...a West Virginia '41, the pre-Pearl Harbor version with the crap AA. Never change, Jingles. On a complete aside, I got a Leyte Gulf container from completing a combat mission yesterday and it dropped a Tennessee on me. We'll see how that works out. I'm not so sure, a slow 14" standard BB at T8. I hear she has cruiser dispersion, but no matter how good her guns are, she can't run away.
The triple-Ise division has certainly been done before, many times. Yes, it's jackassery, but with Ise also isn't very good BB . . . at least you can focus them out. Hmmm these guys couldn't, but . . . - Ise and Hyuga were ordered as 3rd and 4th Fuso's, but delays in construction allowed for some improvements in design and the last two are designated Ise-class BBs. The two center turrets were grouped together, they lengthened the class slightly, changed the armour scheme and changed the secondaries to the 5.5" guns in an attempt to increase rate of fire.
What’s worse than a triple Ise division? A triple KEARSARGE division. Even though the Kearsarge doesn’t have torpedo planes, she gets planes with MIDWAY rockets
I remember many years ago, me and some teammates created a division of 3 Atlanta's and just rained hell down on the enemies. Lets face it, this was a ridiculous rate of fire.
Thank you for sharing Mr. J. I thoroughly enjoyed that disgusting display of tomfoolery! 😂 Almost as disgustingly funny as a triple Tog division in World of Tanks! 😅 Or, I seem to remember a triple KV-2 division or is it just my imagination? 😊
Wargaming: "We have heard the feedback from our community, and in the interest of our playerbase, we have removed the limit of carriers when forming divisions."
Not trying to shamelessly plug here, just a shout for anyone interested… I have a video from a year or two ago when WG did the first T6 all BB Brawls. We did a 3x Ise and ended up with another 4 or 5 Ise on our team vs a bunch of normal ships. Was pretty funny.
not really true, the Ise and Hyuuga were designed based on the Fuso and Yamashiro, but they were intentionally different. originally planned to have a more efficient turret layout compared to their British built counterparts, and the Ise in particular recieved a mid-war refit that saw its no. 5 & 6 turret removed to accomodate a short flight deck with dual steam catapults. the Iowa class of ships would later see a similar design drawn up for its post-war refit but thankfully it never came to pass.
I played against two Kearsarge, two Hildebrand, and a Tromp in the enemy team earlier today. WOWs World of Warplanes... I wish the hybrid's planes couldn't fly beyond the range of the guns.
What's assholey about it? Three of them coordinated is a massive skill enhancer. One of them, at least, with demonstrated skills. And they won with a comfortable but not remarkable margin. Being good and winning by a bit is not an asshole move.
1. Who goes out in a Belfast, deserves it, period. 2. Calling that a "triple carrier" is a bit of an exaggeration, those things have by far not the plane output of a CV.
This really is a great way to get Wow's nerf hammer out of the cupboard. How hard is it to count the carrier hybrids as both carriers and battle ships. It should be really simple code.
Yes, triple Lyon div, IIRC I've seen Flambass do that with Trenlass and RogueMonkey. That's what I thought of as soon as I saw triple Ise...then I remembered what Ise is. How could you do this to us, Uncle Jingles?
It’s not a warcrime the first time. And Jingles, this can’t possibly be worse than the triple Lyon division you posted a few years ago where each boat had 16 guns and rained hell and despair upon the reds
The Ises were developed as an upgrade to the Fusos, the biggest of which was grouping the No.3 and 4 turrets to reduce weakpoints such as ammunition storage, and armor protecting said weakpoint. By the start of WW2 though the 25 knots speed of both classes were deemed too slow to effectively spearhead the main attack or escort fleet carriers, and were relegated to convoy and auxiliary carrier escort duty. After the spanking the IJN received in Midway a decision was made by high command to convert some of the less important battleships into carriers into carriers - however the fierce opposition of admirals who _really_ liked their battleships led to the ships being converted into hybrid battleship-carriers. Work was initially planned to start on the Fusos but Hyuga, Ise's sistership suffered an ammunition explosion in port towards the aft end of the ship in 1943. Therefore the decision was made to convert the Ises, as repairs had to be made to the Hyuga anyway, and converting ships of the same class would have taken less resources and time. Due to the conservative design choices neither ship was very effective nor successful, and the ships were mostly on aircraft delivery duty until their respective sinkings. I wrote this off the top of my head, so if there are any errors I made please let me know!
kind of hate the bounty system, as every single game i've played with it, i've been the bounty, constantly getting shot at whenever spotted and its kinda hard for me to go un spotted because i run really ballsy builds on my ships, they're all lighthouse builds and i dont like sitting at the back of the map
*Akhtually* Jingles, the Ise (and Hyūga at Tier 7) are part of the 2 Ise class battleships built during WW1 which were essentially Fusos with a different turret layout. The Ise was converted to the hybrid form we see in WOWS in 1945 as was the Hyūga. Also I audibly gagged when i saw the triple Ise division. Those evil bastards 😂
No more or less disgusting than the 2 carrier battles where they cross drop on each BB one by one. Shot down 45 planes yesterday, team in total shot down 149 and it made 0 difference.
I remember a game I played vs a triple Ise division a while back. My experience was very different. I was in Aoba doing a line regrind. I spent the entire game with those 3 trying to sink me, but they were a bit shit and every torpedo sailed past behind me. None of them learned to lead the target first. For nearly 20 minutes. I did sink all 3 of them, burning 2 of them and the third with my own arse rockets. Aoba's torps only have rear arcs.
The Ise is so fun, But like Jingles pointed out the player here got some really bad luck with the guns. Ise is my second favourite T6 but i have never had any matches where the guns have given me consistent results, There's something about them that seems off, I rarely get good damage with the guns.
Its old news by this point but it would seem Wargaming subscribe to the Baldwins argument of thought that bomber always gets through and there is no power on earth that can protect a man from being bombed.
As a DD main who quit a few years ago because of Carriers, THIS is great!!!! I don't blame the player but the game developers themselves because they made the decision. To the 3 man division, PLEASE do it again and send it to the Salt Master! Now back to the mine...🧂
The Ise conversion was a complete waste of time. When it was ready for combat, the air power wasn't. Too few planes and almost no pilots fly what was supposed to be mostly a scouting type plane or a non float plane that couldn't land on the ships. Ise and Hyuga never launched in combat. They were both sunk at anchor at Kure because the lack of planes and air crews included a lack of fuel. There are times that WOW goes completely beyond reason with ship capabilities. One could almost imagine that WOW is connected to World of Tanks.lol

The crazy thing is that the West Virginia 44 WAS flooding at the time! Its just that it was in another battle
Ise was never a Fuso, it was its own class. Similar, idea, but better turret placement, slightly faster and more compact secondary battery.
A hearty Jingles laugh is a great start to my day.
all I can think of is the Spaceballs scene: _"How many assholes do we have on this thing?_ 🤣
Why would WOWS put pontoon torpedo bombers on a flight deck?
Now I want to build a Division: Hildebrand, Lousiana, Nakimov.
THIS SHIP WAS NOT A FUSO CLASS, IT WAS AN ISE CLASS. THE DIFFERENCE BEING IN THE LAYOUT OF THE MIDDLE TURRETS.
Yes, the WeeVee is an 'ackshually Jingles' moment. I still miss Jingles' 'shotgun response' to that...
The Ise is so fun, But like Jingles pointed out the player here got some really bad luck with the guns. Ise is my second favourite T6 but i have never had any matches where the guns have given me consistent results, There's something about them that seems off, I rarely get good damage with the guns.
SO you want planes AND good guns? Cry us a river.
@EvoraGT430 be nice, bro is just making an observation.
Long before The Sims was introduced, seeing a triple Mahan wolf pack made many soil their drawers, especially CVs
AA doesn't work so well any more.
Its old news by this point but it would seem Wargaming subscribe to the Baldwins argument of thought that bomber always gets through and there is no power on earth that can protect a man from being bombed.
3:47 I literally said out loud; “oh my god fuck these guys”. My wife was concerned for a minute 😂
As a DD main who quit a few years ago because of Carriers, THIS is great!!!!
I don't blame the player but the game developers themselves because they made the decision.
To the 3 man division, PLEASE do it again and send it to the Salt Master!
Now back to the mine...🧂
The game should rename this Ise the Ise (1942) and reintroduce the pre-converted Ise as Ise.
Jingles' ability to entertain is the majour aspect to watch the videos....
I've got ISE from a container, never played since I'm a DD main, after this display of glorious torpido rain, I just might, lol.
12:05 That one time friendly fire is friendly... should have been a double kill there...
As soon as I saw the triple Ise division, I was like "aww man, these guys are the f***in worst" 😂😂
Upon first sighting a Jingles video, I naturally click to watch. That’s my style, sir!
"Warships guys only want one thing and it's fcking disgusting!"
4 am here in the US, I should really go to bed.
I feel like I need to shower after watching this video. And I just finished taking a bath.
Yup the scores are flipped, Green owns every cap and Red Team is gaining 3 points.
Reminds me of that one time me and my clanmates did a Pobeda-Nebraska-Tone division... and then we had another 2 Nebraskas on our team
