Leatherhead’s intro and boss battle is underrated in the entire turtles series. It takes the meaning of “alligators in the sewer” to another level with the build up and battle.
They made him too easy. TMNT2 Bebop is harder
When I was a kid it seemed so hard, this is my childhood. Music alone brings a lot of warm memories.
I agree this game brings back a lot of memories and played it quite a bit as a young kid growing up in the early 90s to late 90s

I got so freaking scared at the Leatherhead Boss. I still beat the game though, but when I was a little bit older (6 years I think). The first boss made me cry of fear when I was 4-5 years old lol
I like how Krang has his own theme!
KONAMI was a boss in the past! And this game is 100x better than the crap they released recently on PS4.

@@CreepySilences I know it's three months late, but by "supercombo" I THINK they mean the move where you hit A+B together. Leo's is a spin slash, Raph's is that power-drill attack you see in the video, Mike's is a handspring kick and Don's... I think Don somersaults with his staff. Usually takes a point of health but you can spam it endlessly at 1 hit point.
Funny thing, if you believe the speedrunners, Leo's is actually the worst and Raph's is considered the best for stage use. Mike's is the most damaging if I remember it right.
@@FrostyTheDragon I always thought that Leo's super-attack is the most damaging considering the fact that he hits them like three times if he hits them constantly during his spinning attack. If Mike's super-attack is performed right he delivers two hits if I remember very well, but i could be wrong, since I haven't used the other three turtles that much often, I always used Raph for this since his super-attack is kind of the most useful, has a good recovery, and considering how he moves and passes through enemies when he performs it he is (almost) always safe after that attack unlike the other three.
@@dzingiskan4932 if you’re close enough with Mike you can deliver two hits. Mike’s creates a larger gap between himself and the enemy compared to Raph.
LOVED this game. Good memories, although Raph almost made the game too easy.

something that frustrates me a lot, its the fact groundchuck and dirtbag never returned in the 2012 tmnt cartoons.
Pure adrenaline that boss theme.
Scariest one here is Tokka, lol its fun, he chases you to beat you up. No other Boss does that.

How I would like to see a remake of this and other games with today's technology, but in 2D, no 3D.
A really cool game for the nes console,i own the two turtles game in original form but sadly not this one.But worth mentioning that i played it on emulatorand even then it was fun.Great skills again shadow my friend,though i can't imagine how many times you needed to practice on those bossfights in order to make it through here!
I love the toy references with Bebop's car, and head mace. I think Baxter Stockman should've been riding the Giant Mouser boss though.

My best childhood game😢
I didn't notice until I was reading through a wiki today that Slash's design in these games and the toys matched each other and (more or less) the comics, but didn't match the design in the cartoon (that otherwise most informed these games) where he had a metallic headset with an eyepiece. I think back then, kids really expected stuff to be off-model.
I really want to play all those old games from our childhood but I don’t know which gaming console should I buy and from where.

The bosses were a cakewalk in this game, since you could just spam your super-attack on them with reckless abandon.
You loose Life bars when you do It unless you only hace one bar risking to get a hit and loose a life

Konami Code was wonderful for replays. This is my favorite of the four (er. four and a half if you count Turtles in Time Arcade as a different enough game)
This turtle 3 is easier compare to turtle 2 nes
Funny. In This Game Rahzar Shoots out Freeze Breath, But in Turtles in Time He Shoots out Fire Breath.
That would have sucked if when shredder dumped the ooz on him, he just got cancer instead.

So now we know would win in a fight between Raph and Kevin Nash err Super Shredder.
The 1st shredder fight is great, my 3rd favorite because how he moves. Super shredder is too good a final boss, Krang is #1 but super shredder shows his stuff.
the difficultly of Krang from the second and third games was nerf so much the second version of him is a joke in comparison.
