So I did my researching after watching kuya Kris play this
These are the information that I've gathered based on others explanation
So apparently kuya Kris got the good ending which is the character have given a secondary chance to live.
The child on the train was kensuke and eikos child, because before eiko went missing she was already pregnant and the whole story was basically kensuke who meet dead people on the train that explain the title of the game.
So the cicada man was one of kensukes school mate, the cicada man had a tough life in school he was bullied and later on died that explains why he's on the train, and so is Mr. Shimizu who is also dead
So Mr. Shimizu told kensuke about the 3 train stop where he will choose one, and at the end of the kisaragi station Mr. Shimizi appeared again and told kensuke that he need to leave because it is not a place for her which means kensuke still has a chance to live and Mr. Shimizu told kensuke about him calling home which is the good ending.
So at the end when kensuke chooses to call home, The whole game is basically the journey of kensukes soul, like his wife eiko who died they are both a bully back in highschool that exo why his is dead beside both of them has a musty soul. Also his wife eiko accidentally killed a girl, that girl is the one who chases kensuke at the train. So kensuke commited su1c1de but not successfully.
So kensukes soul as punishment for that his soul works and go home on the train everyday, The train usually carries dead souls off to the kisaragi station a place that doesn't exist.
All the passenger are either bad souls and good souls.
The station is originally a gathering place for soul,
The ghost are the people waiting to go to heaven, hell, or get a chance to live again.
So the other ending was bad ending. Kensuke died because his soul cannot be returned to his body cos he picked to call either the co-workers of his or other expect "home" that is because they cant help kensuke.
So Good ending kensukes soul met his wife for a brief but happy moment then his soul returned to his body and continued to live.
