This episode got under my skin. As an almost 100% technical trader (and a profitable one), to say that in the last 10 years of trading he's never seen a profitable technical 'only' trader is both ignorant and wrong. He is also wrong about prop trading. It's pretty arrogant to say his way is the only way. Otherwise an interesting interview.
I share your opinion on this. There’s been plenty of technical only traders on my podcast including some that were part of the Market Wizards books and had their track record audited.
etienne you are one of my favorites traders and the same for samuel, i learned a lot from both of you, and last year i even get in into one of samuel challenges but i fell to pass the 4% target. However at that time i was just starting with trading, but saying that technicals are garbage and you must only trade fundamentals is nosense. both are importants and combining them is what will make you a successful trader. Sam is really an arrogant trader and always think that his way of trading is the best but that can not be true, even if he is a great trader and you can learn a lot from him and his team mostly Eliot
I think it's wise to have that fundamental knowledge and incorporate it into your skillset and decisions but pretending you cannot just be a consistently profitable technical only trader is not in touch with reality.
Creating another source of income in these difficult times is the best thing to do. Not only does it guarantee returns, it also helps you plan and save for future expenses. It can be quite difficult to make an investment without sound knowledge or guidance, which is why it is advisable to work with an investment advisor.
I and sure he has lots of experience but it also sounds like sour grapes re the prop firms. I someone knows what they are getting into and is successful whats the harm. If you fail the prop form challenge it’s not the prop form issue ( as there are people passing) so it is more a trader issue and the trader needs to make changes to what they are doing.
The process movers are fundamental traders, and with their trigger, only the market could move. Their footprint is what we could follow, or you're gonna really nurse false breakout and stuff
This is what I have been looking for great interview
Thanks for watching!

About the prop firm, would you say the same thing today after MFF issue was disclosed by CFTC?
Technicals > Fundamentals
I’m with you 🙌

Can anyone suggest good youtube channels that focus on trading fundamentals only, would really appreciate it
BK Forex (Kathy Lien) is a great source. You can also check out Jarrat Davis.
Thank you for another excellent interview!
You're welcome! 📈
etienne is an algo trader right? it was interesting to see him not argue with the fundamentals comment
I’ve learned to let each person give their opinion. I know there’s not just one way to make money trading…
Fundamental is for investors and not for few hours in out trade
Thanks

I agrée with you!

17.36 Etienne yawning :))) classic hahaha
Adds a bit of fun & more comments to the interview :)
Solid advice but his RUclips is all green Lambos and Grand standing. How about giving back a little with some free strategy being your so successful.

Totally agree with you on that!
