it's a ring with a tongue on it the ring has a bolt to tighten it to the hot head and the tongue has two screw holes please note that i don't run cans any longer and have switched over to using a mr heater tank adapter hose
When your glass rod pops like that (around 6th minute), is there a way to use it at some point at all or will the entire thing pop like this? If so, can that rod be used for some other way safely, like melting it in kiln in small pieces on top of other glass?
It depends on the rod and how much it’s been rattled around You can put them in a kiln for a Low temp soak and try to get some of your moneys worth out of it
I'll be a production assistant I don't want pay I just want glass blowing lessons and learning how to use a hot head torch privite message me I'm being serious

Are you using map gas or oxygen and propane?
Propane
Usually Mapp gas on a hothead but you can use propane. Mapp is hotter.
