    I've found that if you just hold the gun upside down when cleaning it makes it easier dont have to squeeze the liner air out to prime and also you can just fill the liner about 1/2 each time to conserve water if you need too . Also I usually just throw the used liner in a bucket to soak and have a clean one to use when I start to clean mine. It just speeds up the process a little and you can rinse out the old used one when your cleaning up later it seems to work good for me .

    Wow you have the cleanest sprayer. Nice job cleaning! Good tip with the green sponge for the overspray. I was taking way too long cleaning getting the water crystal clear. Good to see it's OK to have it a bit milky when you're done cleaning.

    Very helpful, thanks. I had just decided not to buy this Grayco after seeing another video that looked way too complicated in the cleaning. Now I've changed my mind again...the cleaning is simpler than I thought, esp. with limited water supply.

    One thing I have come across with mine is that if you run the prime position longer, you can flush the pump more effectively. When in prime mode, you can see the paint flow into the clean water much more. I cut my cleaning time down by 25 percent. 👍

      How long it’s been since you have the sprayer! I’m a bit scary since I have see so many ppl complaining about replacing the pump the cost 200 dollars! Do you use very often or just ones in a wild?

      @@pxods Hi. I have had mine for over 2 years, maybe 3. I had the pump replaced once under warranty, in the first week. It was putting out a ton of overspray and Graco just sent me a free pump. It didnt solve the over spray issue, but I think it was just the tip being too large. I use it once or twice a month to paint doors, interior molding and other miscellaneous small items. I would reccomend the gun because its easy to use, tons of available tips and does a fairly good job of laying smooth coats. I don't see me having any issue with the pump for quite a while. Also, Graco customer service is pretty good. I would buy it from Sherwin Williams or another respectable company.

    This may seem like a weird question but is it possible to hook up an inlet hose to this to draw from a reservoir?
    I've used an airless sprayer for years but I don't use it to paint, I use it to spray disinfectants because the atomization from airless paint sprayers and fine mist tips really helps stretch the product evenly and adequately to get the best penetration and coverage.
    however I'd love a more portable solution.
    We only use 1 to 2 gallons at a time but fighting with the high pressure hose is somewhat annoying
    Would love to throw a 75' feeder tube onto the inlet and into our disinfectant (practically water) and be able to go to town with a flexible hose instead of the stiff high pressure hose associated with traditional airless sprayers.
    I'm so close to going to home Depot and giving it a try but it's a rather expensive experiment.
    Thanks!

  • @ollopa1

    What about pump armor afterwards? According to the manual you shouldn't leave water in the pump as it may corrode or rust internal parts.

    • @jmlcolorado
      @jmlcolorado 5 лет назад

      Sooooo what they want you to do is buy their expensive product and use it every time? Strange. I use mine about twice a month. Never had any issues. Just don’t let it freeze if you don’t want to buy armor, use every antifreeze.

    • @phillipmccarter7471
      @phillipmccarter7471 4 года назад +1

      It's actually a anti freeze and a lubricant for your internal parts the ball valve that opens up for the pump to switch from prime to.spray can become corroded over time and will give you fits trying to use it if you dont use pump armor to store it also storing it in the upright position is a must also as the ball valve will be seated if left not in a upright position and can become stuck as corrosion will occur if you dont have some type of lubricant ran into the internal pump . You can also use mineral spirits to store the unit as it says in the owner's manual . I highly recommend not using anything not certified as a internal pump parts product as you can cause parts to prematurely become inoperable.

    • @phillipmccarter7471
      @phillipmccarter7471 4 года назад

      I wouldnt reccomend using that in your pump it will cause corrosion and chemical reactions to the paint on the internal parts as it's not intended to be used on paint pumps as pump armor and mineral spirits are what they recommend in the manual . Mineral spirits is much cheaper than pump armor
