Primitive Pit Cooking Fresh Lobster, Clams, in Seaweed on the Beach ASMR (Silent)!

- We collect salt water clams using a shovel and then cook up our lobsters in a primitive pit covered steamed with hot rocks and seaweed. This method of cooking is very simple, you just dig a hole, fill with hot rocks and coals, put in seaweed, whatever you want to steam, then more seaweed and cover with sand to allow to cook. We let it steam for about 30 minutes, until the lobster's antenna popped off. FULL PLAYLIST: • Caveman In The Woods |...

The find clams on the beach, look for a small hole made by the clam and then dig out about 6" from the hole and down 1-2 feet. Be careful when digging that you don't crush the shell or you will get a lot of sand inside the meat of the clam which is really bad on your teeth.
I'm not sure if this cooking is more primitive technology or bushcraft but it can be done very simply by just digging a hole and heating up hot rocks. We are digging the clams up in Maine, USA on the coast. I license to dig clams for 3 days costs around $15 and you can gather several pecks.

Man the NEW DR.STONE looks good
It’s the new live action coming this summer
For tho if he was Dr.stone, then he would kinda fit bc he knows a lot about wildlife and stuff like that, but isn’t as young.
Still I wanna see what the live action one would look like.
who Dr.stone
I was born in New Brunswick with the Bay of Fundy as my backyard, I remember having clams/lobster and crab nearly every day and I miss it dearly . If you dry and cure the seaweed ( kelp) it becomes what is called Dulse and not only is it very good for you it's also quite yummy. Best regards from the old guy in Ontario. And thank you for bringing back a few memories.
How do you cure it? Just leave it to dry?
@@TerryBoudreau We hung it on wooden rails that we had set up on the north side of our house to keep it out of the sun and thus avoiding it drying too quickly and not properly curing, then once it has fully dried place it into a paper bag and store it in a cool dry place . Enjoy eating in a salad or all by itself 😎.
Is this the stuff we buy in the store? My son loves it!
@@TheWoodedBeardsman I've never seen it for sale here in Ontario but if it is I want some , lol , My family sends a little to me every summer but this year might be a no-go because of the Covid19 situation.
@@highenergyog Southern Ontario here. I've seen some of it here and there in grocery stores and the odd gas station. Plastic bags of purple seaweed, labeled as Dulce. It was delicious, but very expensive if you look at the actual weight of what you were getting.
Liking the asmr videos. Very peaceful
To imagine that lobsters were once considered as such a trash food that it was fished up and made into fertilizer for crops. Breaks my heart. Good thing we learned that its so tasty!
I cannot image any Michelin resturant putting on a feed better. Good food, good views, good company.
Full stop, I remember watching this the first go around and just thinking how expensive this meal would cost in a restaurant. What a great experience, keep sharing with the world the bounty of the outdoors!!
Yes!
I dont even care if theres mud or dirt but that looks really good
Tummy started to growl . Looks Great!! Thanks for the Silent Sunday. Super yummy
Pulling traps takes me back to when I was 10. Best days of my life lol. Cheers 🍻 Lobster traps that is. Now its Steelhead and Albacore

I've seen this before. Your trip with Fowler.
Im just over here enjoying my oreos with milk.
You're giving me an urge to go grocery shopping for cookies, now.
exactly that you
Oh hey Trump
Bro, a while back, I saw a video of this dude eating bone marrow. Now, he's nearly hit 1 Mil subs and he's doing outdoor activities ASMR... Hats off to you, old man!
Hello WB! I enjoyed this version...silent, sounds of footsteps and digging n the sand, the waves and wind. It shows that if one wants to eat, they must focus on collecting food and fuel. If things were 10 times worse than what is going on with this virus now, and no food to be gotten from the stores, I wonder if the viewers that complain about ur silent videos, would either spend most of the time talking, or working to gather food. I watch ur videos, and those of others to gain knowledge about wild food, wild edibles. To have the knowledge of hunting, trapping, gathering, raising or growing ur own food comes n handy now to supplement the income,. Who knows what the future has n store, which can come n any number of ways, having skills, knowledge to obtain food, is better than money n the bank. Enjoyed it Chris! Thank u
Your reruns are still edgy and even better when you don't talk. I really enjoyed this one.
Excellent job harvesting clams, and lobster, then cooking them primitive style. Love your channel, Happy Easter
Love the sound and beauty of nature captured. Bonus on everything else!!! Looks Amazing
While eating you're supposed to whisper to us all of the gossip and drama that like you and your friends are going through lol. Great Vid!

The video is interesting
Looks delectable Chris, can't wait to see more adventures with the fellas when all this staying inside stops. Perhaps a collaboration of Zach, Greg, Jeremy, and yourself would be epic for a survival challenge!

This looked SO great im gna put my boat in today and get my hands on some cages. Loving this!
Happy Easter!
This series of the wilderness challenge was so fun seeing the guys eating abundantly from the sea/beach. Makes me wanna head down to my local beach and dig the sand for some clams and what not. Btw Chris if you were do a Southern California by the ocean challenge, the lobster here are amazing! You can just free dive and grab them with your hands, they have no claws but do have spikes however they taste so much better than the best lobster you can find at a top end restaurant as the spiny lobsters here are so much sweeter than the lobster you get at stores and what not. Also they have the little sand crabs you can dig up on the sand that supposedly taste like shrimp.
Dude, that sound amazing!
ASMR! Sweet. Love these. Thanks.

I'd love to visit Maine to try some of this! Next year maybe? Keep up the good outdoors videos!
Hey great video!

This is rad! It’s from the 2nd day survival challenge Maine huh? I love how every time you guys go out you bring home the grip. I’m the same way when I’m fishing and diving. I start to feel like I’m gonna get skunked. Then I start to think about my family. Then I get a bucket full of kill. 😂cheers gents. Thanks Chris. Hope you and your family are shredding bro...

What a beautiful location, and great seafood. Hope you have a Happy Easter. Cheers!
Hope you and your family are doing ok during this virus Chris!
I hope yours is too!
That's a very cool idea. My biggest concern is that the lobster one of them looked completely dead. When a lobster dies before it gets boiled it releases a toxin poison throughout its meat so you cannot eat it.
Awesome 😋👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Muito bom seus video top aqui e brasil
Damn my mouth watering.
That was really cool wish i could have done that with y'all.
Best tasting arthropod like crustaceans around! Butter them lobsters up, boys! Happy Easter!

relaxante, gostei muito
Happy Easter. #STAYSAFE
Reload? I know for a fact I seen this before!
He does this all the time but qualifies it not being a reload because it’s silent / ASMR, deleted scenes etc, which is totally fine. Personally I like his (audible) commentary or voice over, specifically his takes on nature and what he learns, gains, loses etc, during his expeditions/adventures.
Yes, the ASMR vids are re-imagined. Global audiences don't understand English.
That's done seen, get it right.
Muito bom 🇧🇷 👍 RIO DE JANEIRO
