That matchup is super rough for Bowser. Against tweek is damn near impossible.

Most likely any Bowser will have a hard time with Link, specially against young link.
Jared Martin Bowser can run fast his attacks are powerful and has armor this guy don’t know how to use him. He don’t even know how to use palutena that says it all
@@anthonystone9897 Nah, this really isn't a manageable matchup against a competent young link. Bowser's hit box makes it so hard to get in, especially on a battlefield stage. The problem with continuing moving with bowser is that you get punished when changing directions due to his slide. Additionally, Link's sword outranges bowser in the neutral. A competent link will also be moving around, which makes getting in for grabs nearly impossible due to Bowser's disadvantage in neutral.
Yes you can breath fire, but young link's mobility makes it hard to land. And we all know that if you don't land it then you'll get punished.
Bowser isn't my main by any means, the highest I've gotten him is 4.7m GSP, but playing against a really good young link the other day showed me how damn near impossible it is to break through. I played the guy 15 times (I don't mind losing a ton because the only way to get better is to play those who are better) and I beat him once in those 15 times. I did start to get in with mixups, but he was able to counter them quickly after a stock or two. Usually I can tell if it's my own skill holding me back, but in this case I realized it wasn't.
Once a player reaches a certain level of mastery of young link, it doesn't matter how good the bowser player is. It could be Smash 4 Zero during his win streak and he would not be able to beat a mastered young link (but of lesser overall skill) due to the character matchup.
These heavy characters just have a ceiling that isn't as high as other characters and a lot of it is due to their large hit boxes and neutral game. This is why I think Ganon is one of the better heavies; he has a solid neutral game that is hard to space out completely and can punish with side and down b that give him some range. It's characters like Paula that give him trouble because they can juggle and abuse his lack of safe aerial options to get back to the ground.

All of bowser’s smash attacks go though all of young links tilts and smash attacks. He simply didn’t use enough toughguy and down b and side b. Those are moves you neeeeeed to dodge or get punished in a seriously stupid way (aka nearly 30 damage every hit or shield broken if you don’t know). This bowser did pretty decent tbh but he simply didn’t know the matchup and tweek is insane so that made it harder

@@Nostalgia_Farm Tweek is playing outside my effective range the entire time in the first game, I can't just go trying to armor through his options in neutral and not get punished.
However I definitely could've tried to Upsmash his landings more.
Side B is good but Tweek is spacing around it most of the time.
DownB is bad and shouldn't be used
Flame breath was probably worth trying here, I'm not sure how it interacts with projectiles.
But yeah I've never played a YL of that caliber, so I was kinda learning his options as I went. I should've just went smashville or another small stage and not switched to my wack palu.

There is a lot of misunderstood by you guys, is not that Azzy sucks or that Tweek is insanely good ( he is pretty good though), Bowser being the big guy he is can be very punished by characters as Link and sadly he lacks of pretty much any way to counter him aside from down/side B, and even this will struggle against Link's B spams. You can tell that by looking as much videos of this match. Unfortunate this match is unfair by its own and you'll need to unlock ultra instinc or some shit to beat him.

So many player just getting carried by there chracter. This match up is just not winnable unless you are complete trash in this game
That's really not the case. What about when he switched to palu? Palu is one of young links worst matchups yet tweek still won. Young link is a lot more technical than people think. But he has projectiles in his kit so hes "automatically skilless" according to people
